Thank you for this honest and no-nonsense review Doar - I also cannot afford an Easyrig and you are the first person that I have seen put a heavy camera on the Flowline. I am really looking at the alternative to the Vario from Easyrig rather than to lock myself into a weight class, still doing research. Your review has helped. I own and rent a few cameras. I’ve heard that people switched out parts with easy rig (to make it more comfortable) and added the serene extension arm from proaim as apparently it’s better than the easyrig.
Hey Peter...quick question...Do you mean people were switching parts off the original Easyrig and replacing with Proaim stuff? does that mean the Serene arm from Proaim will work on the original Easyrig?

To be honest, it's around 6-7 I guess. Pros is the cheap price range as you know. This makes that we can invest other equipment. Cons is that it not comfortable (but it works)if I put my heavy alexa setup on this flycam. But I'm ok because I understand that these eq is gonna painful because of weight. Thus, I'm very satisfied with this alternative:)

Great video really thinking of getting this, would this work well with a gimbal within a ring? I'm using an FX3 with the Crane 3s and a ring and its super heavy so would this work well?
It works for your setup I guess. you should only make sure that your total weight in terms of these Easyrig stuff.
thanks for the review. im in the same position right now. My rig isnt that heavy, BMPCC6k pro, but with cage and Vmount, etc its too heavy to hold for long periods. but relatively light compared to the Alexa. I did want to ask, the flycam top bar looks like it was really low, even over your shoulder at times. is that a setting you made? is the height adjustable? also ive read that the line on this product is out too far away from the body, but wondering if easy rig has the same issue. Also one last thing, have you had a chance to use the "placid" attachment, if it makes any difference. thanks so much for the review!..
sorry for late reply! (1) yes, you can adjust bar height from nob that installed on back of vest. you can check specification from their website! (2) I don't have experience with "placid" arm. so far I don't need that in my current shooting situation, but it seems nice.
Can you adjust it for different weights? It looks like a good option. Was the shipping to Japan expensive? I live in Okayama.
No, you should choose the model that depending on your setup. But there are many weight model, (my choice is 750N), so you can find what you want in their website. Shipping cost is around 140 USD at that time I guess.
@@doarJP Great, thanks. I think I can use their smallest one with my FX6. I dont think that rig will be over 7.5kgs so it is even cheaper.
