I own an EasyRig Vario5 and i absolutely love it, it make life so much better, i wouldn't be able to shoot with our Red handheld setup for 8-10 hours if it wasn't for it and the kind of shots it allows is endless. PS: you can walk with the easyrig it just takes a while to get used to it so that the up and down movements desapear.
The first time I used an Easyrig was in 1998! They've been around for a good while. I used it with a 30lb betacam that I carried around 10 - 12 hrs a day. It was a real saver on my back.
How high can the support arm raise? I’m not the tallest brotha in the world. So sometimes when I have to film super tall people, I have to hold the camera quite high.
Hey I just purchased one used and the spring won’t lock I’m not sure how to take it the the back vest to fix the spring or if I need to but I can’t get the tension to lock every time I tighten it it loosens?
Steadicams & easyrigs are different systems that serve different purposes. Steadicam is more of a stabilizer, while easyrig is more of a weight relief system than a stabilizer.

My minimax is probably my favorite tool to shoot handheld. Love it! And it holds a good range of weight
