I'm a big guy 6.6 and 400 pounds, But even some one twice my size would not stand a chance against a 1400 pound grizzly

it's a pointless challenge to be honest, maybe if it was 4-5 guys trying to do it together as a team challenge it would me more interesting. Also points based on time can be really skewed since the bear might not care to pull all that much or decides to pull hard randomly, all around it's weird.

Grizzlies aren’t 1400lbs. The average male Grizzly in Yellowstone is only 424.6 pounds according to the peer reviewed paper from Blanchard, 1987.

I'm 7'0 270. I can bench 330 and squat 440 lbs. I'm not an average human in any way but it still wouldn't matter with a bear. I could fight back but I'd just die exhausted. I stand tall enough to look the bear in the eyes when it mauls my face off. If you're a human, you're already out of their league plain and simple.

grizzly bears and brown bears are the same thing, distance from the coast is the only thing the fish and game use to separate them. at the end of the day its more who eats salmon and who doesn't. browns bears live on the coast and eat salmon. grizzlies live in the interior and dont ( even though they do, but they just get less of it ). so a bear can wake up a grizzly and fall asleep a brown bear.

Strength has no place in this competition, its purely about weight. You could be the strongest person in the world and you will still be at a massive disadvantage purely based on the weight. To compare a bear can only carry its own bodyweight whereas something like a gorilla could carry up to 10 times its weight (the equivalent of around 2 adult bears) however in a tug of war the gorilla would have no chance against a 1400lbs bear when it can use its weight as leverage combined with its strength.
I saw a bear kill a moose them picked it up & carry it up a 45 degree hill with no effort
Those men are standing on lose and dry soil so that they can have no traction on the ground while the Bear is standing on stable ground. The Bear is also standing on lower elevation compared to the people which gives it another gravity advantage. The Bear will of course win but they're using these tactics to exaggerate the Bear's strength and make their program more 'gimmicky' and exciting for the audience. A bit like clickbait thumbnails.
Also, the bear is 5x the strength of humans...A bear will win in any situation.
