Hey had question. Are those returns that you're calculating nominal returns or real returns? As in do they factor in inflation. Is the value of 10cr, 15cr, 20 cr or any other amount going to be enough 30 years from now considering the uncertainties that come along, or is that amount relevant from today's pov. Thanks!
So many people are asking for calculator link Is there any issue in sharing We have been trying to look for the same over the net but unable to find it Kindly provide the link
@neerajarora - incredible video hai ji... Which is this website/software to calculate retirement corpus? And where to park the retirement corpus for such a withdrawal? Balanced advantage funds? Aggressive hybrid funds? Or a Nifty 50 index fund (will it be too volatile?)

A person with 35k salary from did he get that 2.31 crores.. let's assume he himself accumulated that amount of money.. he can hardly invest 10k from his salary and it will take around 26 years to reach 2.31 crores with 12% return.. and that his age must be near 60-65 then what is the use
Please understand he will not keep investing only 10k as his salary will increase he will increase his investment also. Moreover, this video is about the retirement corpus, and we will make a separate video on how to accumulate the amount
Hi , The monthly expense(rs35000) that you have taken is the expense after your retierment right or that is of present? If that is of present then we need to include our children's expenses as well?
Okok... Doubt is clear... Actually that is the current expense and the expense that should be kept in calculater in regular withdrawal that expense is after retirement
Neeraj ji, Thank you so much for showing magic like numbers, want to check based on my savings, i searched this Calculator but didnot found, can you please help in giving Calculator link
What about the sequence of return risk during withdrawal? Real life me return doesn't come so linearly (every year 12%).. though it would be taken care if one has higher multiple but it would be better if you atleast highlight this to users
Maine bachpan me jab ristedar paisa deke jatey the....usko ikkatha karke....usse investment start kar di thi....😊 Bilkul jitna kama rahe ho...day 1 se start karo 👍
Sir can you explain i have a doubt in stock market our compounding will happen after 5 to 10 year but we are withdrawling the money each year with an increment of 5% did we get the expected returns as shown in the video or some fluctuations might be happen
Sir sorry for interrupted u but u are doing wrong maths cause Jo button left me calculate ke usme intrest per monthly hai ussey yearly Kare then u got real calculations aur ye galti mere se bhi hoti hai is wajha se Mai bta rha hu
Can you please specify are you talking about 12%. Check again it is not monthly. If monthly we will get huge numbers. Request you to check again please.
If you are telling about the last column. You can use yearly as well. It will cause a difference for sure but your corpus will still last for long. The last column is compounding frequency not the interest frequency. All the best.
You are correct. The compounding frequency should be yearly and not monthly. But even after setting it to monthly, the yearly interest rate changes to 12.68%. So Neeraj sir's calculations are not too far off and his basic principle to learn remains the same. The future value and interest earned are 4cr lesser but the withdrawal and financial security still remain, nonetheless. So the difference isn't too huge and 12.68% is an achievable interest rate.
This is odd and a little impractical reason being it is being assumed that post corpus accumulation of 2.31cr the returns would be at an gross average of 12%. This would be unlikely as most people would simply prefer to hang their boots and not invest time and energy into active money management. Post corpus accumulation phase most people simply wouldn't have the drive to do money management where they extract 12% returns. Not to mention what happens if on a given year they cant? Should they stop retiring and get back into the work force? It would be too unstable of a situation
The probable solution to this is to divide the funds into buckets. Assume that corpus is 2.31cr. Bucket 1: Expenses for the next 5 years (year 1 - 5) adjusted for inflation should be kept in a savings account or liquid fund from where extraction of money is easy. This would be actively withdrawn from. Bucket 2: Funds for the next 5 years (year 6 - 10) invested in a good FD or debt instrumdnt with decent returns (assuming 7 to 8% ) which should automatically match inflation. This remains invested for 5 years. Bucket 3: Funds for the next 10 years (year 11 - 20) to be invested in a portfolio of mutual funds with 70 to 80% debt allocation and 20 to 30% equity allocation. This remains invested for 10 years to grow at a decent 10% CAGR. Bucket 4: Funds for year 20 and beyond. Since withdrawing from this bucket is quite far away its safe to go for a 60% equity and 40% MF portfolio.
@@abhi0465 I'm afraid that wouldn't be an acceptable answer to someone in retirement. Hence in my opinion the above stated bucket strategy where we try to minimize risk while maximizing returms from accumulated corpus seems more probable and doable rather than aiming for flat 12% returns. Like the video said, you wouldn't want to be in a phase of life where you have to rely on others for money or simply cannot afford your own basic life needs
Ok sir, so by the calculator, you don't even require 2.31 Cr to begin with. The corpus will be returning more that what is withdrawn. That way, we can meet our monthly expenses. Please correct me if i am wrong

These type of video misguide our bholi janta. There are so many factors involve deciding your retirement corpus and even after calculating all that you are not sure how our government and geopolitics will impact inflation or taxes or our retirement life. For example ho sakta hain aapka beta ya beti padh likh kar bhi aapke hi kandhe par latka ya latki ho ya phir bahoo rani aisi aa jaye ki ... Have you also calculated ki bahoo rani agar sahi nahi aayi to aapko uske 498a ko settle karne ke liye kitne ki SIP karni chahiye. Do not go as per these youtube videos as life do not go as per calculators and excel sheets.

I think he is specifying that you are assuming compounding it monthly . It may be quarterly or yearly.
I mean “interest compounding “

Bucket 4: Funds for year 20 and beyond. Since withdrawing from this bucket is quite far away its safe to go for a 60% equity and 40% MF portfolio.
With the above basic strategy you give your funds a very reasonable time to grow and beat inflation while also managing risk reasonably well
If they dont they will not get it thats it. Everything cant be that easy right.
