Thank you for all the support on the last video!
In todays video I start working on my newly acquired 1973 Toyota Hilux. I just purchased this truck and am super excited to get it running and back on the road for the first time in 20 years! Absolutely crazy that this 50 year old truck only took a day of work to get it back on the road! Love it. Your truck reminds me so much of my 74 HiLux. Make me miss it. The sound of the doors, hood and engine running really brings it home. The old girl has had a hard life, and it would be good to see ya restore it to as close to factory as possible. I think the Corona or Corolla from that same period uses many of the same parts. It may help you source what ya need. Anyhow keep it up love these small trucks

I still need to get a few odd and ends done on this thing to get it where it needs to be, timing, maybe a carburetor adjustment too, I live at 7,000ft in elevation, so that might be why its running rich right now.

If you can get it up to 17 - 18 on the gauge, it should run pretty well.

Oh and in one of my $500 vehicles in the 80's I put in a hidden kill switch (should say under the hood battery kill not to drain battery and prevent your truck being stolen).
