Love this video. Multi generational vacations can be tough because of the possible wide range of age of grand kids. Ours range from 20 to 2 yrs old. So choosing an itinerary and even more importantly IMO is the cruise ship itself. Does it have enough range of things to do to span that age. Good stuff here.
I bet they're amazing kids! And you're right, while I focus on itineraries, we're doing them on some amazing marvels of engineering. The ship can really make or break a cruise, especially when catering to multiple generations traveling together.
Jamaica does have some safety concerns as of late. We booked our rafting trip direct with the rafting company in Jamaica, and usually avoid booking through the ship. But there are some places and scenarios that are just better to book through the ship. I think traveling to Jamaica with very young kids is OK because you're not going to be venturing far from the ship, or doing anything that couldn't be booked through the ship.
Totally love your criteria. Does the third and fourth person need to be a child? Like could you have two adult couples? BTW, I can’t imagine any couples that would want to share a cabin. Haha.
I know for RCL the "kids" are 12 and under. NCL is less clear on 3rd and 4th guests stating: Free or $99 USD Kids (3rd & 4th Guests) - Offer valid for guests 3-4 sharing a stateroom with guests 1-2 paying full fare. - Offer only valid on select sailings.
What a fantastic video! So much great advice for choosing the multi-generational cruise we want to take! That's just what I needed! Thanks a ton! :)
You're quite welcome! This was a fun video to put together!

Great video. I like your analysis.
Thanks so much!
Hahaha, you now have me scared about Jamaica. We just booked an excursion direct the first time and just hired a ride at the port the second time.
