Prince Rupert does have a great museum within limping distance of the ship. They also have a Walmart and then you have Cow Bay. It is small, hokey but original. Like Ketchikan without all the cruise diamond and t-shirt shops.

Thanks for the tip! I'll have to check those out. (I like small, hokey and original - at least once. :-D )

Nice video. I think the ports you like are the opposite of mine. Haha. We only agree on Glacier Bay. I guess we all have different needs. Thanks for all your work to put these together.

That's what great about the variety of cruise stops - something for everyone! What do you need from an Alaskan stop, and which are your favorites (and least favorites)?

Yes, it is an interesting itinerary for Alaska. But currently, an inside cabin is $4000. I am booked on a Celebrity Solstice 7 day inside passage and a 14 day Vancouver - Seward RT on HAL for $1400 total . The problem with the long cruise is that the weather can get very rough fast west of Valdez. And eight days of sailing for six hours in Dutch Harbor and eight hours in None.

@@jlawrence0181 That sounds like an awesome itinerary - and a great value too! I think the cost/reward has to be balanced on the longer cruises that go further afield for sure, and you guys have an amazing one you've put together!

Did your kids, try Club HAL? My son liked it... (He liked carnival's camp too, He did not try the Princess club, but so few kids were on our cruise that 1/2 of the kids club was open to everyone, so he got to do foosball & the like with adults that wanted to play.)

I forgot, we did a HAL 14-day 6-ish years ago in July - May & September are not great with school, I'm disappointed to not see Homer on these itineraries. (One of our best ever excursions was out of Homer.)

My kids were teens when we started cruise HAL, so they were starting to age out a bit. What they have tried has been hit/miss there. However, they loved Camp Carnival when they were younger.

What was the excursion? I'd love to hear about it!

@@ThisistheCruise Center for Alaska Coastal Studies - tide pooling & hike (boat trip across Kachemak Bay, so we sailed by Gull Island too.)

@@ThisistheCruise We've never sailed on the bigger ships (with tons of kid centric stuff) or during the summer, so all of our kids clubs have been sparse - less fun than possible.
