Actually, absolutely nothing wrong with staying on board... The only time I'd say to definitely get off the ship is if it's a place you've never been. Even if just for a little bit, get off to experience someplace new, then hop back on board!

We had a similar experience on the Reflection - fortunately it was always in the morning, and we're morning people - so we just rolled with it. But I was imagining what it would be like if it was a new cruiser... it might freak them out.

We had the same experience - when we got in on the Summit (one way from Fort Lauderdale) - I was pleasantly surprised!

That's the best 7-Day Apex (Caribbean) Itinerary! :-) 21.37 based on my calculation. Bimini is the weakest stop in my opinion. Have you been there? If so, what did you think? There rest are all quite nice overall. I like the diversity of this itinerary, every stop will feel different.

What type of activities do you like? Are you a "get out and get active", "relax on the beach", or "shop and explore the city" kind of people?

They really have changed a lot. Norway has been working hard to reduce emissions in certain fjords, which has made some of the UNESCO destinations more difficult. How many days are you thinking? (I'm working on some Norway videos now, but it's going to be a little while for me to get them done)

I've thought a lot about this actually. It's mostly because of the extreme fluctuation in prices. Sometimes I discuss cost, and my analysis platform actually will show me a score/cost breakdown, which I sometimes explore if it helps make a distinction between two itineraries. But it's still something that can fluctuate wildly at times. Thanks for watching and commenting!

@ThisistheCruise i think if you added the price it could increase the score for the 7 night out of SJU. My price was around $2500 for a balcony with the drink and wifi package. Whereas I paid over 900 alone for the drink package on a 7 day cruise on Carnival. I'll NEVER do that again 😭

Yep! I have thoughts. :-D (Sorry for the delayed response, we have a lot happening in the household these days!) If you haven't booked yet, consider an Eastern Caribbean cruise on Sky Princess (Jan 5, Feb 2, or Mar 2). I like that because you get Princess Cays, Grand Turk, Amber cover AND a stop in San Juan (one of my favs) - which gives you a break from all the beaches. :-) That's in comparison to the Eastern Caribbeans on the Sun Princess, which are the same itinerary without San Juan - so it's one less stop. You can always stay on the ship when you're in port, but you can't get off the ship when you're at sea. :-D

Wow - well, the world is your oyster then! I mean - you'll get that on almost any itinerary. :-D First, are you looking for the new edge class ships or does that not matter? Next, for the beach-location, what do you envision you'll do on the beach? (Basic sunning/lounging with some swimming - or something more adventurous/water sports etc?)

@@ThisistheCruise hello again, Line we just want an easy beach day, sitting in the sun and going in the water now and then. We are not interested in getting off the ship because I am blind and this will be my first cruise when I won’t be able to see anything. We got married on Explorer of the seas in 2003 back then I could still see like a normal person. When I could still see, I watched hard travel and he showed the infinite balcony on one of the edge class ships. My husband usually runs hot so if the balcony opens and heats up the cabin, he won’t like that. So that’s a dealbreaker for us. I know there are very few real balcony cabins on edge class ships such as the pole or the balconies. So we probably need to go on a solstice class ship, such as the eclipse or the equinox. Do you have any suggestions for celebrity seven night cruises in April or May? Thank you, Janice.

Oh I love me a good catamaran! Two things to consider if you have these destinations: 1. On Aruba, consider a Discover Scuba dive. We're snorkelers, not divers, and it was a great experience to try it once and check it off in a safe environment. Aruba has great beaches - but the real adventure is under water. 2. In Bonaire we took the water taxi to Klein Bonaire and went snorkeling on our own. (just get off the ship and hang a left) They have gear you can rent on the boat. It. Was. AMAZING! 3. In Curacao we walked around the city and explored, went shopping and just enjoyed the culture. I hope you have an amazing trip!

@@marisacheslock6705 it’s a lot smaller than the mega ships but they have plenty going on. Food is very good. Service is excellent. Relaxed atmosphere. If you have ever been on Holland or a more traditional line that’s what you should expect. I love Royals mega ships but spent 12 days on the summit with quite a few sea days and thoroughly enjoyed it.

@@alanrunge1428 I used my air miles, but Celebrity was charging $937 canadian per person...not sure what that converts to in US....

Also, flying from the US, you could consider Southwest. It's not always the cheapest, but sometimes it is, and worth looking into if they fly to your airport

I think it may have been a bit outside the scope of itineraries. However, repositioning cruises are a great opportunity to see more of the world for sure!

Solo travelers often get short shrift, don't they? I have a really good friend who's a solo cruiser and really likes Holland America, but it really depends on what you value most when it comes to what cruise lines offer, right? Thanks so much for watching and commenting!!!
