This is very helpful. I really enjoy your thorough review of itineraries. I'm trying to plan an Alaskan cruise and not sure what are the places I must see. This helps me narrow it down.
We were on the July 7th cruise and had an amazing time. We booked this one back in December 2022 and it ended up being perfect timing because we live in the Houston area and missed the hurricane. We've cruise the large Royal ships and the small and this was our 2nd Alaskan cruise (first on Royal, the other Holland), both out of Vancouver. We loved the ship and had an amazing time again in Alaska. Caught Halibut in Juneau and Hubbard Glacier is amazing. Great video.

@@ThisistheCruise My next cruise is booked for January 12th on Rhapsody OTS out of Puerto Rico. Just the wife and I, no kids this time. 143 days to go. We are planning another Alaskan cruise, but have yet to decide on a date, probably late 2025 or 2026.
@@ThisistheCruise This will be my first time out of SJ. Been to SJ as a stop on Allure OTS. Love going out of Vancouver for Alaskan cruises. It might be my favorite port.

This is a wonderful series of videos! We were booking for the 2025 season, but many of the Brilliance itineraries are being done by Serenade next year, so this was super helpful to parse through the differences. We ultimately decided to book Serenade's May 4, 2025, which is (minus a couple hours in port here or there) the same as the Brilliance May 26/June 2/Aug 18 2024 itinerary.
Love this series! You’re soooooooo detailed! ❤😂❤ Early in the month when people like me (finance/accounting) cannot take time off work, is almost always cheaper 😢
Just got off Brillance on 8-12(i think). Sitka,Juneau and Ketchikan were a let down,lots of homeless and jewelry shops,one after another,all run by middle easterns. The locals are less than friendly,but I get it. Tracy arm was spectacular and hubbard was as well. The cruise ship was dated but very enjoyable,food was really good.

@@tombesaw2657 well! There ya go!!! We absolutely loved Beak Restaurant in Sitka. I ordered salmon caught that morning and it was the best that I've ever had!

Sorry to hear that. We loved Sitka, but we tend to walk on our own and explore a little further out.

Going Aug 11 because I haven't been to Icy Strait Point for over 10 yrs, since its enhancement. And it has an extra sea day.
