We are going on the 7 day southern departing from Puerto Rico. Can’t wait. We actually did a 12 night on the Summit last August to Greenland and Iceland. Great ship. Great service. Can’t wait to be onboard again.
@@lady1scorp its the first time we have been to most of the ports, with the exception of Puerto Rico and St Maarten. Lots to see in old town Puerto Rico if you are there for a day and I think there is a free hop on hop off bus to get around. There was 13 years ago when I was last there.
Thank you for your videos. I really like the way you analyze the itineraries. The high rated cruise sounds great, but it is smack dab in the middle of hurricane season, but this is helpful for thinking about cruising in that area generally.
We are going on the San Juan itinerary in December. I am interested in knowing about the vibe on the ship. I’ve been on a mega ship that wasn’t celebrity. And it was so fun but there were SO many people. Either way I’m excited.
@@marisacheslock6705 it’s a lot smaller than the mega ships but they have plenty going on. Food is very good. Service is excellent. Relaxed atmosphere. If you have ever been on Holland or a more traditional line that’s what you should expect. I love Royals mega ships but spent 12 days on the summit with quite a few sea days and thoroughly enjoyed it.
Also, flying from the US, you could consider Southwest. It's not always the cheapest, but sometimes it is, and worth looking into if they fly to your airport
I've thought a lot about this actually. It's mostly because of the extreme fluctuation in prices. Sometimes I discuss cost, and my analysis platform actually will show me a score/cost breakdown, which I sometimes explore if it helps make a distinction between two itineraries. But it's still something that can fluctuate wildly at times. Thanks for watching and commenting!
@ThisistheCruise i think if you added the price it could increase the score for the 7 night out of SJU. My price was around $2500 for a balcony with the drink and wifi package. Whereas I paid over 900 alone for the drink package on a 7 day cruise on Carnival. I'll NEVER do that again 😭

Awesome! I hope you have an amazing time!!!
Did you go on the cruise already? Any tips? Going in Nov

@@davva360 thank you, I am going early Nov... Was hoping to get some ideas on what to do on the islands. May end up booking private tours or something

We are doing the cruise on 10/4 from Ft. Lauderdale to San Juan and then staying on for a B2B in San Juan. Can’t wait!!
Not saying for sure, but if you see me on that one, make sure to say hi!
See you on the ship!
I'm booked for December. First celebrity cruise 3rd overall cruise. The itinerary is what sold me oan the price 😂😂
The itineraries look great, don't they? What other lines have you cruised?
@@ThisistheCruise first sailed with NCL, then CCL. NOW Celebrity.
I just got off Celebrity Summit in San Juan. They no longer dock at Pan American port. They dock right in Old San Juan now.
We had the same experience - when we got in on the Summit (one way from Fort Lauderdale) - I was pleasantly surprised!

Yeah, hurricane season is definitely a concern. Those seven days from Puerto Rico are likely a safer option.
Thanks again for the kind words!
I agree

How much was it to fly into San Juan
@@alanrunge1428 I used my air miles, but Celebrity was charging $937 canadian per person...not sure what that converts to in US....

St Kitts is my favorite
Love St Kitts as well. What's your favorite thing to do there?

Beautiful, isn't it?
That's the reason I will not do a big ship
Let’s do the 28.6 cruise. Love the ports. Hahaha.
We're game if you are!
How is it you don't have cost in your cruisability score???

Agree. Pricing fluctuates so much it's a challenge... But as a snapshot in time, it can be quite informative for sure!
