Anyone remember when Diamond Dave took over the Howard Stern spot on morning radio? Those were weird days.
I always heard that when they started in Pasadena, the band's name was Mammoth.
Maybe since the band went on to reach such great fame that Dave feels it would be rather pompous to say they were once called 'Mammoth ' Dave is just showing us his' humble side ' .
That was an early name .

I believe they left the mike on when they were recording...Roth was talking and joking around being his usual self...not sure if it was Eddie or Ted saying let's throw that in there. After they heard it later.
