    he sings better live here than any place I have seen him. Is that Jason Becker playing guitar in the back? If not who is it?

      no it's not jason, he was already getting pretty sick, he had to drop out before finishing the album. it's guitarist joe holmes who went out on tour for the record.

    I totally forgot about this song, Dave should do more stuff like this, I think it's a better representation of what he can do now, you're only young once and those days are gone, focus on your strengths!

    5:22: "The album is screaming. Nine and a half Platinum." ??? I love Dave, but what's he talking about here? ALAE only ever went Gold.

    • @STEVEHEROLD
      @STEVEHEROLD  8 лет назад +16

      I think at the time what he meant was he had 9 and a half platinum records. Meaning 9 albums platinum (including his 6 with VH, then Crazy From The Heat, Eat Em, and Skyscraper) and a half platinum (meaning A Little which was Gold. Gold was 500,000 so it was half a platinum record.) I know it's weird. But Dave always had weird way of putting things.

    Personally I think it is a great record. Amazing playing from Jason and Steve Hunter and they are great Dave songs. All you can do is be yourself and his writing style is very distinctive and always unmistakably him. Say what you will but he's a rock and roll icon without a doubt. As with many, being an amazing singer isn't a prerequisite. And he's got a nearly deplorable excess of personality. But...
    That said, 9x platinum my ass Dave. That record sold nowhere near that then or even through today. Not even close. Where the fuck did he get that number from? Then again I like that he didn't over fib just a little. Even his white lies are larger than life. LMAO
