'A lil Aint Enough' was a kick ass album. Some great guitar work via Jason Becker & the songs were classic Diamond Dave. I think when this appearance happened, Becker was already suffering from ALS (or whatever it is he has). I think this is Joe Holmes on guitar.
I'm sure it is Joe Holmes as Joe joined DLR on this tour to replace Jason as I remember. I saw Joe playing for Ozzy Osbourne on the (Ozzmosis) Retirement Sucks tour in 1995.

Yeah Jason never made it out on tour with Dave. He barely finished the album. I met him in 1990-91 he had to use a cane and even then was barely able to walk. Nicest guy in the world and an unbelievably awesome career cut way too short
David Lee Roth looks good here. I really think that David Letterman and David Lee Roth had a good friendship as they joke a lot with each other. In my opinion they joke more with each other than what David Letterman normally does with the people that he interviewed during his show. :)

Saw him for the 2007 tour and he actually sounded decent and when I saw him for the tour on that new album, I promised I wouldn't see them again, unless he worked on getting it back.

Tell the truth sounded really on point.Dave always gets a hard time about his live vocal performances but in all fairness, if you ran like seven miles on a stage while doing crazy acrobatics you’d be a little out of breath and would find it hard to hold pitch too,what you gain in an amazing front man you lose a little bit in pitch which is understandable.
Really enjoyed DLR here. Liked the Diamond Dave "Crooner Style"- he's all grown-up here! His voice has a smoldering sex appeal here, well, so does he! He is very likeable and intelligent. Love a man who knows what a cuban heel is!
Dave was on the right track here. Should have stuck to it. This aged well. He looks and sounds age appropriate and could have cruised gracefully into a better career as an older performer.

Personally I think it is a great record. Amazing playing from Jason and Steve Hunter and they are great Dave songs. All you can do is be yourself and his writing style is very distinctive and always unmistakably him. Say what you will but he's a rock and roll icon without a doubt. As with many, being an amazing singer isn't a prerequisite. And he's got a nearly deplorable excess of personality. But... That said, 9x platinum my ass Dave. That record sold nowhere near that then or even through today. Not even close. Where the fuck did he get that number from? Then again I like that he didn't over fib just a little. Even his white lies are larger than life. LMAO

It's a massively underrated album. "40 Below" and "It's Showtime!" are among my all-time favorite songs of his.
