  • Hi! I’m Jes, a mama of toddlers, a loss mama, an Endo Warrior, and someone who believes human connection can heal us !
    I had a total laparoscopic hysterectomy on December 20th 2019.
    I’m starting my RUclips channel with no experience, and learning along the way! I can’t promise all my content will be endo/ hysterectomy related , but I can promise I will always be authentic, and have real conversations about the stuff that’s hard to talk about , including loss, grief, parenthood and being a human !
    Thank you all for the support so far! If you want to chat with me privately, here’s my contact info !

    I am 3 weeks and 3 days post op laparoscopic hysterectomy and I feel wonderful! The pain really stopped after day 2. I stopped pain meds day 3. No bleeding at all since the surgery. I do experience belly and back soreness. My sleep has not been the best due to avoiding stomach sleeping. I’m walking up to three miles a day which has been refreshing to have something meaningful to do every day. I’m grateful for time away from work and just doing things at my own pace. It’s been a really positive experience so far.

      if you felt so much better after day two, why didn't you go back to work after that?

      @@Michelle-pn9xtbecause you’re not supposed to. Most doctors will tell you that you can go back after two weeks, some four or six depending on what kind of job you have. If you have a desk job, 2 weeks is most likely. If you have a very physical job then it’ll likely be 4-6 weeks. It’s because your body was put through a traumatic thing. It needs the time to heal.

      I used essential oils on my tummy for cramping & gas.

    I am almost 3 weeks post op, I'm feeling great. I stopped taking the Tylenol & Ibp that they give you, I never even received the oxy. I don't have real pain unless sneezing now. I've been walking around and riding in the car, sweeping and mopping (probably shouldn't). I was really nervous about the recovery stage just from looking at other stories, however my story is totally the opposite. Good luck and stay strong to those who are going to have the surgery.

      How are you doing, a year later? Have you experienced any body changes, weight gain?

      @rachelcoleman4693 Hi, I am feeling great still, more energy, no pains anywhere. I've gained healthy weight but that was because I was trying to gain more muscle (I work out 4/5 times a week). I think the only thing that has been a tad bit off lately is bowel movement it's either every 2 to 4 days. I'm not sure if that's anything to be worried about.

    at what week does the swollen belly go down and look flat?

    • @jes44444
      @jes44444  3 года назад +2

      It took a good couple of week for the swelling to go down, as for the belly to become flat I’m still waiting lol . I completely change my eating habits after surgery and I find a cleaner diet leads to less bloat
