      Yeah. I stayed in a long line after the concert for an artist that I had great respect for since he invited people to stick around and get photos.
      Well, apparently I was naive and thought it was just that the line went past the merch table. When i told the merch sellers no thanks to the apparel and posters they said, "No actually, that's not how this works. You have to buy something for the pic"
      I guess my concert ticket, time in the line etc wasn't sufficient even though this was the artists first time touring.

    • @maebandy
      @maebandy Год назад

      When you have resellers and people monetizing their clips meeting the artist or planned gotchas you film when you meet the artist, non-registered meet and greets become less about the fans than scammers taking advantage of the artist's time after they've just spent hours doing a show or performance. I think registering for meet and greets early in pre-sale with offers extended to fan group participants would be ideal but thats more music artist fandom appropriate than a comedian's. I don't know many comedians that would even be the personality tyoe to want to do them much less monetize them. Seems like Chrissy really is a part of the new breed of young comics that can't let an opportunity for profit run by without feeling like they we're getting chumped or lazy.

    Glad he sees it for what it really is , ticketmaster charging for meeting the artist and adding on another charge for the fan .
    Do your own meet and greet, charge or not idc but DONT give more money . Get them out of your pocket and ours .

    Why would you not take money for a meet and greet...? It's just business. If people are willing to pay, then so be it.

    How about doing a meet and greet for free

    Yeah but I’d give $25 bucks to out of work celebrity I love and yea it’s shitty because an out of work celeb is just a regular person but a pic with them is a pic with them and that’s a service on their part. A popular celebrity is another story and that should be free

    I like Meet & Greets. I can remember attending so many Meet & Greets. I have not paid extra for a Meet & Greet that I’m aware of.
