Alto Choir Practice: Part 1 of "Miserere mei, Deus", Gregorio Allegri. The "Miserere", a setting of Vulgate Psalm 50 ( Psalm 51), was written for two choirs, one of five and one of four voices. One choir sings the original Miserere chant; while the other sings an ornamented response. Translated as "Have mercy upon me, O God".
