  • Hello and welcome to my sewing room!
Today I'm showing you how to make my
#9 Home Town Quilt Block in 5" and also 10" size.
I am using my latest fabric collection HOME TOWN designed by me and produced and distributed by the fabulous Riley Blake Designs.
I have given you the cutting recipe for both sizes below so be sure and click until the entire description of this video is visible below.
I am making these blocks to go into the HOME TOWN SEW ALONG QUILT which takes place on my blog every Friday and Monday during this sew along.
CLICK on this link to go to my blog:
    beeinmybonnetc...
Each tutorial I'll be showing you just one of ten blocks.
I'm also going to make several blocks of each of the ten to make a quilt for my bed and then I'll design 6 more and add them to my quilt...of course I'll show you how to make those as well!
I'll take you along on that journey with me as I sew blocks each time on my vintage featherweight sewing machine.
Thank you for joining me today:)
I hope that you enjoy our time together in my sewing room!!

Repetitive? Never. I go back and re-watch your videos over and over, especially the sew your stash series. Never get tired of them. I can't wait for new videos, either.

You keep being you! I love the repetition and your ongoing commentary. I feel like you’re my bestie sewing friend. I really LOVE these tutorials and while many of my friends think I’m some kind of quilting expert, I know better. I’ve become a better quilter watching and listening to your tutorials. These are the highlight of any day; they’re that good! Thank you so much for sharing!

I really like the consistency of your instructions. I do not think you are too repetitive. I like knowing that whatever video I replay I will get the how to I need to remind myself what to do. Thanks so much for your videos and patterns. Thanks to Kassidy for all her time to film you. You make a good team!

Your teaching style is so informative and at just the right pace. Keep making your videos just the way you are! You are teaching us just the way you normally quilt and I like the repetition. It is reminders for those like me who don't get to sew/quilt daily. Thank you for sharing your creativity! Much appreciated by so many!

I APPRECIATE videos. I'm a ",show me"learner. They are so much better than being in a class (not that that wouldn't be exciting) but you're up close and personal, you can pause, and repeat. ABSOLUTELY love the explanation for your tips. It's part of the learning process which at times is overlooked in other people's videos. Again THANK you for your time and talents. Also your beautiful fabrics. ❤❤❤

Never apologise for beiing " repetetive"! We watch your videos for so many reasons, and many of us take on board tips through just that. We hear things according to where we' re at ourselves in our patchwork learning journey. You inspire different things. I'm more able to see how to dissect/ analyse blocks now as a result of your methods. And to organise my stash better! (Also your longer hair looks so bonny on you. )

Repetition is wonderful. Keeps me focused. I just finished my best quality quilt so far. Took it to my elder friend so he can stay snuggly warm this winter. Your precision is amazing. I noticed on your intro, your layout for the bed quilt. Stunning!❤💚💙

You show how to trim if the block is a little big, but what do you do if the block is a bit too small? Is there a way to fix it if the block edges don't come out to the trim it ruler edges? I love your blocks and love learning how you make them.
