I am a nurse and I work hard to stay strong and positive for my patients. There are times it can be difficult and overwhelming. I look forward to watching your videos because they are relaxing and remind me of the days in my childhood spent on a farm with my grandmother learning how to sew, crotchet, paint, cook, and so many other wonderful lessons. Thank you for sharing your talents and gifts with us.

The world of Lori Holt designs is a wonderful place to go! 2024 is going to be the year I begin to cut and sort my fabric into to baskets by size. Your quilting process is systematic and your tips helpful. It is fun to see all your orphans and how you use the blocks. Thank you.

Oh you are just so sweet! The video wasn't too long. I absolutely DO play your videos while I am sewing, ironing ,quilting. I also play them while I sew your blocks....I'm working on your Farm Sweet Farm currently. And yes- sewing with your design boards are a MUST! Love the tutorial ( thank you!) I played it over and over - also played it and paused as I was making my boards. Absolutely making more - 1 dozen is not enough!! Thanks for sharing your ideas, your love of patchwork and your sweetness with the quilting community. You have this wonderful grandmotherly nature about you that is so enjoyable! Please don't take that as anything but the compliment it was intended as! :)

Lori, I can't begin to tell you how life changing your applique techniques are for me! I've tried numerous methods and they were all so stressful instead relaxing! I was diagnosed with 2 different types of breast cancer last November and had a double mastectomy March 8th. I have been watching a lot of RUclips and your channel has been medicine to my soul. I have been looking at ways to applique so I can have things ready to go and occupy my time while going through chemotherapy for the next year. Yes, I will have to endure that for a whole year. But I have begun preparing projects using your applique techniques as well as getting my scrappy stash ready to make some quilts from your scrappy stash collection. Again, I want to thank you for all that you do. You never know who you bless with your videos and I wanted to let you know what a blessing you are to me. Keep up the amazing work you do.

Your videos can never be too long. You have so much talent and knowledge I could never learn all that you have to teach. So, I watch them over and over. I made my first small quilt from beginning to end including basting, quilting, and binding. I can’t tell you how much joy I have gotten from watching and listening and then turning these scrappy blocks into table runners, placemats, potholders, and quilts. Project bags are next. Thank you so much for giving of your time to us. I really appreciate it and enjoy it over and over. ♥️

Totally enjoyed spending time listening and learning. The videos are never too long. I did a big OOPS and cut my index finger with the rotary cutter that required 6 stitches. I was so upset with myself. I missed a special function for my granddaughter at school. Didn’t get out of Urgent Care until 10 minutes after it started. Didn’t cry about my finger but cried about missing the function. That was on Wednesday. I am trying to cross stitch some but not getting much accomplished.😭❤️🧵🪡❤️

Your talents have no end. While I was watching, you made me think of my Grannie, whose old Sewing machine sits in my living room in its old time cabinet. She sewed her clothing as many housewives did out of necessity. She did not quilt as far as I know but she embroidered. I love all things quilting and cross stitching. I think she would be proud of me, I hope. She was an amazing, patient, and loving 🥰 lady. I only wished I had spent more time learning from her. Thank you for sharing your life with us.

Let me start by saying you have been a great inspiration to both my mom and I. As a retired teacher and looking for a hobby to start I thought I would start to sew and immediately quilting brought me so much joy! It has been almost a year and oh how I wish I started so much sooner:) I learned everything I know from you...my mom has sewn all her life but I never really took an interest I just admired everything she made for me and my family! I treasure it all!
I love making all the blocks and have purchased all your books and beginning to buy little by little the different items you use.... not to mention trying to implement your organization of fabrics. My husband has given me the freedom to hang up my work and he even helped me design my quilt room...everyday I'm so excited to start something new...thank you!
Thanks for all you do! Your hard work and dedication is appreciated...God Bless you and your family.

I got so many ideas from this video Lori! I wish I had those scrap baskets as full as yours, but I only have 2 1/2" squares or strips that I cut down. It's time to start on more sizes. Good grief Lori, you amaze me weekly with your videos. Always a pleasure watching you work, organize and inspire. Can you do a video on cutting, it intimidates me, I love your fabric (it’s almost all I buy) and I don’t want to mess it up by cutting incorrectly. Thank you again. 🪡 🧵 ✂️

This was super helpful. I’m loving the idea of baskets of different sized strips to piece everything with, so seeing your process and hearing your tips is fantastic.

Gorgeous! Video was very inspirational. Ordering my book now. Would love a book on seasonal/ holiday/month by month ideas for banners. After watching this, I’m on a mission now to create blocks that I can pin up on lines around the house.Ty.

Love visiting in your sewing room and watching you sew....learn sew much and the ideas generated have me heading to my scrap bin to make a tomato blocks. Never apologize for the length of the video...if I don't have time for the entire video I enjoy it over a couple of mornings. Look forward to visiting every week. Than you !

I have most of your books. Such great ideas. Easy to mix and match. I’ve started bins all the way down to 1”. I’ve found lately some of my quilts include 1”. Thank you. I have scraps 🙈🙊

Don't you just adore the sound of that Featherweight! Mine is just a little black and gold darling but makes the prettiest stitches of any of my machines.
