I just want to say thank you so much for this helpful video. Recently purchased a brand new home. Unfortunately, the sewer line was crack when they laid the foundation. I didn’t discover the broken line until a year later. Plumbers tore up my front lawn and I had to start my yard completely over. I started looking for landscapers and then I came across your video so I decided to tackle my lawn myself. I took the short cut by purchasing Sod. The sod had brown spots so I purchased the liquid iron, now my grass looks better than what it originally looked like and now I have the best looking grass on my block. I get so many compliments. You are my best kept secret🤣🤣... Thank you for the videos!!! You gained another fan/subscriber☺️
Ridiculous results Justin !! Looks amazing and double dark ! And the drone shows the domination linessssss very nicely. You’re killing it on every side.
You can make you own its called compost tea, some gardeners use for their fruits and vegetables look it up . I tried it and it worked .I learned from some guy in Alaska watching his videos .
I notice that the GCI turf tall fescue has a tendency to turn yellowish more so than some other brands of grass. Example Rebel Southern Blend in my back yard holds a deeper dark green color even without the Iron application and it holds that color well into winter whereas my GCI yellowed more which is fine because it comes back in spring but its more of a characteristic of this turf I think, but you're the pro so I could be wrong, just saying what my experience was.
Hey Justin, great video! How much water do you use per 16oz of Iron? Going to put this on my grass this week and I don't want to over do it or dilute it to much. Thanks in advance!
Great channel and great videos. Quick question on the liquid iron. How much water do you mix in with the liquid iron? I have the total square footage of my lawn, but need to know how much water to mix with the correct amount of liquid iron.
Lawn looks bad ass! I have a 2 gallon pump sprayer that I used for liquid herbicide stuff a coupla months ago. After around 10k square feet, my left shoulder was sore for 2 days. Sucks getting old. lmao
Gotcha! the point was to tidy it up (regardless of color) as it looked unkempt relative to the lusciously green lawn. Kinda like when you paint or fix a floor in a room and then everything else needs to be upgraded to level up to what you just upgraded.
Great video!! The lawn looks super green & evenly cut, what lawn mower are using to cut your lawn? I am in the market for a new one and not sure witch one to purchase. I have 2000 square feet of hybrid Bermuda grass.
I mainly use a toro timemaster. For that size yard I would look into battery powered. I've used my neighbors kobalt battery powered a few times and love it. It cuts very well
I used the product today. Thanks. I used 2.5 oz per 1000. Do you think I should hit it with another application? Also, how long does it take to see results? This is my first application.
Do you find there’s a better time of day to spray for grass leaf color? More specific like in the sun or late afternoon or does it matter? Love your videos man.
What if you have a new lawn (1 month old) and there are patches where it still needs to fill in...can I use this product now or do I wait until the lawn has filled in completely?
So after watching this video i bought that product and used it 3 days ago. I added 16oz to 2 gallon of water for 2000sqft and sprayed it using 2 gallon sprayer at evening time and watered next morning. I did see color response the next day, but everyday it is fading away and have some spots that are yellowing which i am disappointed. I am not sure if there is anything that can alter the iron to work properly. Do you have any idea why would the green color fade and yellowing started in some areas ? Thanks in advance!
The GCI TTTF looks amazing, nice job! What state are you in? A couple weeks before checking out? My yard looked like yours a couple weeks ago, then 4 inches fell. Melted and checked out. Good work 👍.
Been doing tons of research. My current pH is 7.7. This product is supposed to be “the answer” for people with pH greater than 7. I’m going to bomb my KBG with this product :)
How long does it last.? Do I have to reapply after each mowing? Does each mowing simply cut off the dark green? Thanks I bought the product and it just came today. Waiting for your reply thanks!
16 oz per gal........jug gone! Are you still mowing? I'm in NW indiana and our grass went dormant about 3 weeks ago. Try the Ryobi 4 gallon backpack sprayer.
NW Indiana here too Hobart. Was going to ask the same question. Feeling like I need to get one more mow in and maybe throw down another winter app. Just don't want to over do it. Not quite ready to say hello to winter.
@@jasonheath5306 Yeah.....I wasn't ready to shut it down. Wasn't sure if grass would benefit from the Iron if its dormant. I might put one down after watching this video😏 I usually go 6-8 oz per 1k. Never went over 10 oz per k, but might experiment in the back.
I am going to get my final mow in tomorrow and final fert app right after. Lawn has grown but very very little. I just did the 16 for experiment! Worked well but going forward will probably do 6-8 oz as well!
@@TheLawnWhisperer well did the iron app last week and it definitely made my yard pop. Never did iron apps this late but will now. Thanks for the pro tip! When you get a chance check out my latest videos of the yard. It was taken after the iron app.
Do you ever lightly water the yard after to wash the residue into soil or roots? For example, but down at 7am and then a light watering around 6 pm? Not sure if that would be any good or not with foliar applications.
Those were some nice fast results. How are you liking the drone so far. It’s pretty pricey but the new skydio 2 looks like it would be an awesome one to have
Looking for the right amount of water to use. Yard is about 3500-4000 sq ft. Looking to do 5oz per 1000sq ft. 1 Gal of water = 5oz of Liquid Iron, does this sound right?
Yes you can. You will get a better/quicker color response from the iron if you leave it on the grass blades a little while before watering it in. I like to apply it around 7pm and then water it in the next morning
Put down 3OZ per 1000 of the Southern AG a few days ago and have seen no results. May try and slap another 8OZ per 1000 on it a couple days before Thanksgiving.
I live in New York which is a cool season grass it’s all Kentucky blue can I apply the liquid iron in April when the lawn is still kind of dormant or do you wait till it’s in full gear and growing like end of May and June?
I see that shaker cup. Perfect for using while pumping iron 💪🏼👍🏼

It blew my mind on how much it greened up.
I want to learn how to do all this stuff... I'm stoked!!!!

Thanks Scott!
I bet your neighbors get really pissed on how good your lawn looks compared to theirs! Nice job!😂
Thank you Klay Thompson
Nice addition with the drone footage.
Your yard was already SUPER green. Nice.
Smoke’in yard from the aerial view.. congrats! I’m amazed that you can see results in the video. Thanks for the tips and explanations.
Wow, that color at the end!
Did it fix the areas where you had some yellowing going on? Thanks again for the videos!!
I came here for useful tips with this product but The wave and “hey” at 5:20 is by far the best part of this video🤣
Love the drone shot.. I’m sure you’re neighbors are envious
It was good you had backup to complete your job!
Always good to have back up!

I used to live in Fairbanks!!!
Got some added to my cart for use next year. :) Love the aerial shot!
Nice added pop to the lawn, amazing & great job!
Damn dude your lawn is lookin so fly
I put so much iron down this year. Didn't get dark enough for me. Might need to start overseeding some dark cultivars.
Looks outstanding my man... that drone footage is incredible
Thank you sir! Doesnt look too shabby for this time of year
Lawn looks great, background beat is 🔥
Agreed. Lawn is 🔥Music: "SLYRAX" by Chef Brian.

nice yard brother, 3 ounces of liquid iron for how many gallons of water?

Did you ever get this figured out? Looking for the same answer. Bottle only says "use significant" amount of water, no exacts.
@@jeremypaul5691 Nope, never heard back from the Lawn Whisper.
How long does that dark green last for?

Thank you! And yeah it sucks haha
You should put black mulch under the play set but yes, your lawn looks lush!
No, I put bark chips under there! Dont want anything with dye or anything that will get as hot as black gets

First timer here. Good video. You think it can have a good effect on Bermuda?

When my neighbors ask my secret I always tell them iron. Itonite is what I use as it's easy and fast to spread.

Fricking Awesome Looking Lawn!.....Great Vid.!
Question what type of grass seed is your lawn i love it
Looks awesome. The drone footage is cool . Love it .
I just hit the bypass on my water softener , my well water is jam packed with iron lol .
Is this watered in or does it stay on the leaf blade?
That domination line
Thanks for loading! I dominated my neighbors yard. My KBG is soo dark Green.
What if you have a new lawn (1 month old) and there are patches where it still needs to fill in...can I use this product now or do I wait until the lawn has filled in completely?
Lawn star makes a great surfactant, but the best iron product is feature by far.
Oh ok..
Can't wait to the Spring. I'm going to dominate my whole street.😂😂😂👍🏽👍🏽
Wow factor! I love your videos because you show the after effect. Others dont do it on the same video and we're left hanging. Lol
That's one thing I try to do when possible is show both before and after, not just talk about what it is supposed to do
Great videos. When using this liquid iron. Does it have to be put down when there is no rain 24 hours ?
Been using this Chapin sprayer and it's awesome. Don't know what your issue is with it. Battery dead? So charge it? Curious. Thanks.
Glad you like it
Any video on lawn stripes coming up or planed for future? Love your channel ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️👍
My lawn is about this size, I ended up putting 32oz with 8 gallons of water total.
Thoughts?
Howd it turn out?
I know your neighbors are pissed.... I LOVE IT

Indiana. Lawn is very close to checking out. Putting final fert app down tomorrow
How often do you have to apply this to keep it dark green without overdoing it and did it help with the yellow grass?
Once a month
in cool season grasses which gets the darkest without the iron tttf rye or kbg.

I thought this was a Doc video at first with the drone footage. Nice lawn
I just put down miloganite and seed how long should I wait to put this down?
great video, lawn looks incredible!!
Excellent video, thanks for the tip.
3 oz of liquid iron to how much water?
I'm going to give it try!! Hope it'll give good results.

It would be cool to see you test the product Feature as part of your iron showdown.
I'll definitely look into that. I've never even heard of it!
Its 10% iron, john ware has used it on youtube. I just received it, but have not applied it yet.
First Aussie 😁. Destination ,Domination. 💪. 😎👍👍
Hey Trevor!
Justin , Hello, I hope your Wednesday was great. 😎
How much of the liquid iron to use in 1 gallon of water?
Thank you
How make grass thicker and greener ,what kind liquid fertilizer shell we use. Can you make video on that
Normal iron ppm is 9-40. I have 290 ppm. My lawns name is Blue Steel.
Looks great. How long did it last?
@7:35 Took at sec for me to realize you didn't have a massive POA problem 😆
What product do you use for weed control ??
How long does the deep green last in the lawn and how often can you apply this to your lawn ?
Awesome. Glad you all are staying safe
Awesome Lawn, great video & had to smash 👍🏻
The lawn next door needs it more than yours does.
Me using these products is the reason why the lawn next door looks like it needs it
You gotta landscape around that playset bro! Thrower down!
Watch my newer videos bro! I'm working on it!

Is Lawn Star or Midnight better for the lawn? Thanks.
Not sure if you explained, can I use a hose end sprayer. At those same rates?

Lmao such bad music. Great video though

You are not supposed to spray liquid iron on dormant grass. You will need to wait.
How many Oz per gallon did u use?
when you use your battery powered sprayer, do you use fan or cone?
How often can you spray the liquid iron every month?
Did you water the iron application in after or just let it be?
