- We all have our favorite pizza joint, whether it’s a chain or a local hangout, but it’s always good to try something different. Every state has pizzerias that offer unique spins on the classic food, and you could make quite a vacation out of hitting up the best pizza place in every state. You may not think you could find New York-style pizza in Idaho or delicious and unique pizza in Anchorage, Alaska, but you would be wrong. Even if you can’t go to all of them, you should at least check out the best one in your state. Here’s the best pizza place in every state.

I'm from Washington so we're always near the end.
I just read the answer in the description & didn’t bother to watch because their selection was just wrong. Not even top 10 for the state.

Although every state has it own unique local pizza joints as a Michigander I can proudly say that Little Cesar's, Dominos Hungry Howies & Jet's Pizza all started here in Michigan and some are even worldwide.

So glad you showed Tilton House of Pizza for the New Hampshire segment they are the best we go to them frequently and they treat you like family.
There are SO many great places in New England for food, and also a concentration of great places here where my wife and I now live, in Ellijay, GA. There are also maaaaannnyyyy incredible pizza places in MA. The different styles are amazing, too, in each of their own unique ways. I am so glad to see Regina Pizzeria on here, though! I only recall ever being there once, and my father brought me there (he was a firefighter in Boston, we lived in Duxbury, MA when I was growing up, I'm 51 now). I have never forgotten the whole experience...AWESOME pizza, great place, ambiance, etc. Totally worthy of this list.
I plan to move to Austin later this year, so trying Home Slice Pizza is definitely on my bucket list.
As a Marylander I am so glad you got ours right! Matthew’s Pizza in Baltimore is hands down our best, if not THE best, pizza ever. Anyone who is this way must try it...and make sure to ask for it “well done.”

I'm from Minnesota and I just wanted to say yes mama's pizza is good but you definitely could have gone with either cossetta pizzeria or reds Savoy. Those are some awesome pizza spots.

Michigan's should've been Buddy's Pizza; they were the innovators of the Detroit Deep Dish Pizza.
I agree. Why not choose Detroit style instead of a restaurant known for overpriced deep dish?
Buddy’s Pizza is a way better pizza. Pizza Papalis tastes disgusting with that undercooked dough!
I've heard great things about this Detroit style pizza. I need to go. Catch a Pistons game and try it out. Yes, ik the Pistons aren't great, but still would be cool.

Red Savoy Pizza in Osseo MN is my favorite!
I live in Minnesota and I've never heard of Mama's Pizza before. I will have to actually check it out as compared to my own recipe.
Mama's is a quality pizza, but it does not hold a candle to Cosetta's. Red's Savoy is also excellent
Best pizza in minnesota you gotta like thin crust though. They have been around forever i suggest go in on a weeknight when they're not busy they will treat you like family.
@@domalley24 I would love to do that, but I currently live in Nebraska, where the pizza is mostly disgusting ( they put cream cheese on it). Mama's is a great pizza place. I just think Savoy and Cosetta's are at least as great. Enjoy them all. And don't take quality pizza for granted.

My local joint “Bernie and Betty’s” in Springfield Illinois is the best!! They have been open since before I was in high school and I’m 60!! They have their pizza perfected!! Hand tossed thin or medium thick sourdough crust are both delicious!!! A myriad of topping and tons of cheese make the best pizzas. If you’re ever in Springfield make it a must visit!!
Yes Zuppardi’s in New Haven, CT is great, but the fact that you missed Pepe’s down the street from them, the #1 absolute hands-down best pizza in America… you lost me already.
These folks need to try Harris pizza in Rock Island Illinois. I'm not a townie defending my favorite local joint either. I'm a Texan who finds his way up there from time to time and always has to make sure to get a Harris whenever I can

Lancaster, SC was kind of a strange choice to represent this state. I had to go look on a map to see where it was. It's just across the border from North Carolina. I wonder how they make their choices.
This video lost me when Lou Malnati’s wasn’t mentioned as best in IL. Then Pizzeria Lola doesn’t get a mention for Minnesota and Lucali isn’t #1 in NYC? Sad.
For those visiting Arkansas, check out Shotgun Dan’s or Iriana’s Pizza, both are in Little Rock. Also Pizza Den in Hoxie, lovely little hole in wall type of place.

Listen, I’m no holier-than-thou pizza purist and I’m down for any weird toppings but you’re telling me there isn’t a single Italian or pizza restaurant with actual Italians who emigrated from the Old Country who can make a very delicious pie in all of Iowa that you picked a place that specializes in a TACO PIZZA (crushed up chips and all) as the best?? Again, I’m no expert but seems like it’s a fail on TWO different cuisines: Mexican AND Italian 🤣
Youngstown,Ohio is very well known for their pizza .. so many to mention. My favs are Wedgewood, Bruno Brothers, Cornerburg pizza.. just to name a few
I live in Alabama and the best pizza I've had is Marcos pizza and they have so many pizza toppings like chicken, bbq sauce, and lots more
In Wisconsin, the Dells Pizza Lab is good, but the best is Wild Tomato in Door County.

We live in Arkansas and we had US Pizza for the first time the other night and it's fantastic!
I love US Pizza (my first little league team was sponsored by them) and their salad supreme is awesome (best dressing ever). That said, DeLuca in Hot Springs is the best in the state.
Sidewall Pizza in Greenville, SC and Aunt Millie's Pizza in Milton, NC deserve some consideration.

For oklahoma I would have to strongly recommend ANDOLINI’s and also Hall’s Kitchen Pizza. I love them way more than Empire.
I live in Utah & I love The Pie Pizzeria over Rusted Sun Pizzeria.
In Georgia, Antico is good if you like Neapolitan style, but all their pizzas are all large, not too useful for a single like myself. My favorite is a chain in the northern suburbs of Atlanta called Peace Love & Pizza. Every Tuesday they offer toppings for free, and I have an excellent lunch there every week!
From New Mexico and have never heard of Trail Rider. Unique doesn't mean that they are the best. Don't know what your criteria is, but there are plenty of places that are likely just as good if not better.

From Cleveland, OH born and raised. Never heard of Pizza whirl. Angelo's in Cleveland is generally seen as the best pizza spot in Cleveland.

Tavern on 12 in Frisco has the best pizza. Their crab margherita pizza is so good.

I've just got to say the very best pizza anywhere in the Los Angeles area is Casabianca Pizza Pie in the Eagle Rock area near Pasadena. It's one of those places that will get you killed by the regulars. It's open Tues-Sat after 5 pm. That's all I can say.
Ledo's in College Park, MD is the best I've ever had!
Tilton House of Pizza is 20 minutes SOUTH of Concord, not 30 minutes north.

I agree with WTF is with the pizza pot pie thing. Though, I really like the deep dish (just had some Lou's a couple of days ago), I prefer the Chicago thin crust.
Don't know about PizzaPapalis (Michigan). But you can't go wrong with Mickey's Pizza in Lincoln Park, MI.
Only two locations in my state and neither is nearby. At least they didn’t chose Shakespeare’s pizza, it sucks but it’s huge in my town.

Ngl I live in Indiana and Jamockamo is only ok its nothing to rave about in my opinion. The best pizza in Indiana is Pizza King.
Pizza King for most is an acquired taste. Don’t get me wrong, I love Pizza King. But Jockamo’s is 100% the best in Indy. Other great pizza places are Arnie’s, Jack’s, and Bazbeaux.

Oklahoma here, I've been to Empire, & I was underwhelmed. I mean it was good, but nowhere near great. The best Pizza in Oklahoma is Jimmy's New York pizzeria in Tulsa. It's the best slice I've had outside of some of the classics in New York
Pizza is tomato sauce, crust, and cheese. It can have toppings or not but those three are the key. Anything else could be good but it's not pizza. Those other options are some kind of flat bread or large, topped cracker.
Indiana: Jockamos is really good artisan style and might deserve the spot for this state, but there are others like Greek’s, Bazbeaux, Goodfellas and The New Bethel Ordinary to name a few that are just as amazing.
If you ever come to tampa hit up eddy and sam's downtown. You won't be disappointed.
