i think that the interval is the total time between exposures, you dont have to count the time of the exposure plus the saving time. i mean if i want to take a timelapse startrail of 30s exposures i just put in the exposure time 30s and in the interval i can put .5s or 1s and then it will take that many picuteres with only .5 s between each shot.
So what’s happening in the background though is your camera is trying to take a photo every 1 second. You’ll still catch your next shot, but your exposure count will have gone down by 30 photos. It definitely works, but you have to make sure to take that into account when you set how many shots you want to take total.
2 questions (forgive me if they're dumb questions, or if I missed something in the vid) - What's the difference between using Interval Timer with the video output option, and the other Time Lapse Movie option? I'm guessing the latter does not save individual files? - Also curious about sunrise time lapse settings. How do you determine the best exposure triangle settings for the end, when the sun is up and it's bright? Sunset - much easier 🙂
Yes! I also want to know. In time lapse you can't use manual exposure mode which is bad cuz I want to be able to control how much light my image is getting
The end day/time is automatically calculated based on the interval and interval x shots/interval. So if it’s ending earlier than you want, something isn’t right in those two settings. Got an example of what you’re trying to do and what settings you’re putting in?
@@willchaneyphoto I know it’s a different body but my d5600 all I have to do is hit start and it will take photos all night till the battery dies. I did get the z6ii second hand only 500 photos and 2 months old still under warranty but would need to return to the person I got it from . Thought they might be the same
