In this Major Chords guitar lesson I'll give you a systematic approach to the major group chords on guitar. You'll learn to play major 7th chords, major 9 chords and all other G major jazz chords on guitar.
We'll walk up the g lydian scale and have one voicing for each scale tone on the b-string and on the e-string. This will prepare you for chord melody as well as jazz guitar comping chords and fills.
I'll then show you several examples with the newly learned major guitar chords.
Of course I made the Major chord diagrams and Tab for all the examples shown in this tutorial.

I keep coming back to your older videos...so many gems there. This one is still so helpful. Thanks a lot!
Awesome lesson Sandra!❤️
Thanks, Rob! Glad this is helpful.
great tutorial, finally I got it 💡 thanks, Sandra 👍🏻
Glad it was helpful!
What a fantastic tutorial, Sandy! You have a gift of presenting information in an understandable way. Your systematic approach makes it so much easier. I'll save this for later to rewatch. Thanks!!!
I love making concepts, that are rasy to understand. Glad it works 😊
I missed this last week (didn't get notified by yt...strange). Love how you go up the scale and explain things so well. I now have quite the chord collection and try to use it (as you suggested) in all songs in my repertoire. You're my fav teacher and youtuber. Thank you...from The Netherlands!
Thank you! ❤️ Thats6interesting, bc I have a feeling that not all my subscribers get the notifications. Strange indeed.
Lovely chords and tips, Sandra . And, as always, chock full of insights! Good to see your smile😁!
Thanks Barry! ❤️ Smule is coming back 😊. I found a specialist for my health stuff. Looking better now, and I can re-focus on making music and tutorials again.
I love all your work, dear Sandra. Every tutorial is just wonderful, packed with excellent and useful information. You always share a wealth of knowledge in a very effective and practical manner. Thank you for doing it so willingly. You have a great heart and we love you very much.
You make my Thursdays and beyond, Luis! Thank you for your beautiful words. They mean so much to me ❤️.
I have a question. How did you get to see this video? Do you see it in your YT feed, start page, are you clicking the notification? I have the feeling that my followers don't get my latest videos recommended. I'm not sure why views and comments are so low and less of my usual audience is showing up. Maybe it's the cobtent, maybe it's the YT algorhythm. I have a second account and the videos never get recommended there, although I'm subscribed to this (main) channel. Strange.
@@GuitarversumSandraSherman I get notifications and I open them directly. I’m always looking to see if you post anything new. In addition, I constantly access your channel to revisit and review your tutorials. You mean so much to me and that’s why I always revisit your work. Someone hacked my computer a long time ago and I don’t have one, that’s why I only use my phone and my television to study your work. Don’t get discouraged, you are making a big difference worldwide. You are extremely talented and a very lovely lady. 🌹
Oh, that's interesting. And sorry you got hacked 😭. If I were there I'd fix your computer. I'm a techie 😊.
@@GuitarversumSandraShermanThank you for your good wishes about my computer. But I don’t really miss using it. You are so talented and well trained in many different fields. But most of all, your personality is exceptional. Andi is a very lucky and blessed man.
Thanx, my favourite youtube teacher. The hint on the 6 chords belonging to the major group makes sense in retrospect, because I was wondering why you used some of those in your chord melody arrangements when major 7 chord was in the score.
Wow, thanks!
Wow, you're my absolute fav teacher. I love you so so much. THANK YOU!
Wow, thank you!
Excellent lesson 👏👏👏
Thank you! 😃
❤ thank you Sandra
Well presented; thank you for sharing.
Thanks!
Thanks so much for your donation ❤️
Keep coming back to this one. I still need to memorize some of the E-string chords, which is taugh. As you said I have to memorize the non existing (virtual) roots. Am working on it :-DDD
It takes some time. Try moving every single chord shape through the cycle of fourths.
I had to buy the download good stuff!!!
Thanks for your purchase! ❤️ Always good to have a chord collection in wrutten form (along with the example Tabs) 😊.
Awesomeness as usual..❤❤
Thank you, David 😘
