Blender Studio is the creative part of the Blender HQ. A dedicated team of artists and developers challenge themselves with creative-technical targets to help Blender users and to drive Blender development forward. This happens in an open source production environment and by sharing everything they make in an open and free license. - Развлечения
Please, just give the team a time, but don't, please don't give up on this incredible short. It will be on another level of work in the entire industry. This project doesn't deserve to die.
100% this. Please take time off to recharge, but don't abandon the project. It looks incredible as it is already. We all are supporting you here :)
As sad as it is that such an amazing art style didn't manage to see its completion in the form of a shortfilm, it's beautiful and important to pay homage to all the artists and developers who worked on this by releasing these videos. I hope that there will be chances of somehow picking this project again in the future, or that all the creative and technical effort put into this will be used as fuel for a new project! Congrats to all the people who worked on this!
Looks soo good. Feeling bad that this project is not in production now.
wait what do you mean
@@cazmatism project gold had been discontinued.
@@Akki_gugu aw man thats terrible
@@Akki_gugu who said that?
@@thefynnpretty sure it was in the previous production video
I love how tou all work on project troughout the day, being rational, calm and paying close attention to any detail even if you can draw, have a happy day working hard on animation graphics and don't be sad or lazy.
I'm not American,I used a translator
They sound utterly exhausted. Hopefully it's the final lap. Keep going guys.
This is so cool. The project itself and the existence of a team dedicated to exploiting Blender artistically and technically so that top-tier feedback can be given is amazing. I appreciate you guys.
Seems like a very interesting project. I also love how traditional art is being implemented too. Keep it up guys
Dear God I humbly ask of you to give money and motivation to this outstanding project, please keep it alive 🙏🙏🙏🙏
Ok this is really sad the project isnt moving forward i think already pitched this idea just like donation man power isnt gonna be a problem now since blender has a immensely large community that is willing to help and move forward to the project for all of us
Every little snippet of this project is gorgeous. I really really hope this can still be finished one day, cause seeing it cancelled breaks my heart. Though I understand the burnout.
@7:38 I'd be interrested to see what it would look like if the brush strokes would be slowed down to the motion and speed of referencing blood circulating through veins. Amazing how the shots look you guys.... just mind blowing visuals! But the one thing I envy most is the atmosphere you have in the studio/team.
6:07 I love that shot!!!
Particularly at 8:02, The background music fits so well with it.
It's nice to see the teamwork and amount of insight that goes into the production.
I know these are only snippets, but it looks like everyone is truly enjoying the process
It does actually look pretty nice. I wonder why they decided to can it, feels like they were getting there
The effects are amazing and they could be used in other projects. It’s priceless for artists and developers to learn the process and tackle the problems so they can improve Blender. I won’t be sad because you all did a good job!
So sad they cancelled it... it's looking so awesome!
If the project has been canceled, why do both this video and the Blender Studio website say otherwise? The website even states the project is "In Development." Could we have a clear statement on the status of the project? I also really hope you'll release training on the brush and painterly texturing, as well as the lighting techniques and workflow used for this project.
I believe it's that the animation as a whole has been cancelled, and that they're only doing a subset of the shots to save time. The last production log intro explains this better.
I resubscribed to blender studio for this. Project files are cool . See how they put things together
Incredible that you managed to pull of this painted look so well. Glad to hear that you seem to not be crunching any more
I was just looking yesterday if there was any updates, I'm excited to see the finished film, the brush stroke technology is spectacular. Just that brief shot of the water's surface was breathtaking, everything looks handcrafted & crisp. Excellent works as always!
They announced that the project is canceled.
@@Dead_Last where?
That's sad news it was cancelled. It really looks so beautiful
It's stunning, can't wait to see the movie!
It is cancelled
Thank you, Blender! 💛
darn.. this look amazing!
Put this project on a kick starter so those that enjoy it can help!
Ok are there people who are ready for crowd funding even a little bit for this animation short film to be released
Blender needs to see how many of them are there
I hope this project can continue to develop and not stop. I really like the style of this film. If there are problems with this extreme now, I hope to be able to restart this project in the future and complete it.
It looks amazing!
Looks fantastic !
very ambitious project in terms of effects
i know this project will come out good as always ❤

The animation is truly extraordinary,🙂🙂
Blender foundation artists are so attractive
This shortfilm was such a good showreel for blender, someone knows if it will be developed in the future?
Looks awesome 🥹
WOW!!!
So now that Project Gold is stopped, what is Blender's next short movie project?
😍😍
Is it still possible to see the whole short even if it's incomplete?
cool project. Sad it's getting cut short
4:44 gigachad mentioned🗿
looks so good to be discontinued
Out of curiosity, what are the specs of the computers the animators are using? I'm trying to figure out what to prioritize as I build my own computer, and I'm curious what the pros use. Specifically regarding the CPU: I've heard that the CPU is the most important part for real time playback and I'd love to know what CPU is used at the Blender foundation to play all of this animation back in real time.
3D artist wanted? 👀 I will join you guys for a tin of beans. Pls. 🙌🙌🙌
Does anyone know what Linux distro they use?
Could you perhaps add Node Presets to Blender, have these presets for nodes could allow you to save a configured node setup to then later apply it to another model object or entirely different project file altogether. I would make it so that if you multi-select multiple nodes, or group them together that you can then Right-Click and save them as a Node Preset, so you can now then reuse that node setup you created, Save Node Preset and then later in a project file to just Shift+A ==> Add Preset Node ==> MyPresetNode.
When will it be released
Its canceled.
😢why
@4:36 chad...
Is this project canceled or not? The website still says „In Production“.

Hi
Hello.
They all sound a bit melancholic :/
guys sound so depressed :D
Can you create a movie like this?
Creating a detailed and realistic fictional movie, especially one with a sensitive and controversial topic like "Caust" (featuring historical figures such as Adolf Hitler, Benito Mussolini, and Francisco Franco), involves significant ethical considerations. However, I can provide an example of how one might conceptualize a movie with these characters and elements, ensuring it is handled respectfully and appropriately within a fictional context.
### Movie Description: 'Caust
**Title**: Caust
**Genre**: Historical Fiction / Dark Comedy
**Director**: An acclaimed director known for tackling complex and controversial subjects with sensitivity and nuance.
**Plot Synopsis**:
"Caust" is a dark, satirical animation that delves into an alternate history of World War II, blending historical events with surreal, exaggerated elements. The story centers around a group of infamous historical figures, each depicted in a hyperbolic and caricatured manner, navigating a bizarre and twisted version of wartime Europe.
**Characters**:
1. **Adolf Hitler**: A bumbling and exaggerated caricature of the dictator, portrayed as obsessively neurotic and increasingly disconnected from reality.
2. **Benito Mussolini**: Depicted as a blustery and overconfident leader with grandiose delusions of grandeur.
3. **Francisco Franco**: Shown as a stoic and cunning figure, constantly scheming in the background.
4. **Paul Morronez, the World War Painter**: A fictional character, Paul is a pacifist painter who inadvertently becomes a spy, using his art to document and reveal the absurdities of war.
5. **Captain Cruzz**: A patriotic and overly dramatic military officer, often clashing with the inept leadership.
6. **Engie Glassez**: A brilliant but eccentric engineer whose inventions often have unintended and humorous consequences.
7. **Lamp Dude**: A mysterious and silent figure who carries a lamp, symbolizing the fleeting hope and absurdity of the times.
8. **Tip, Tap, and Top**: Three comically incompetent soldiers who provide comic relief through their bumbling antics.
9. **The People**: Representing the general populace, struggling to survive amidst the chaos.
10. **The Ladies**: A group of resilient women who navigate the absurd wartime reality with wit and strength.
11. **The Soldiers**: Various caricatures of soldiers from different nations, each highlighting the folly of war.
12. **The Policemen**: Overzealous enforcers of absurd laws, often caught in their own red tape.
13. **The Prisoners**: A diverse group of individuals caught in the crossfire, each with their own stories of resilience.
14. **Beardy Jack**: A wise, old prisoner who becomes a mentor to Paul Morronez, imparting wisdom through cryptic anecdotes.
### Soundtrack
The soundtrack of "Caust" would blend dark, ironic humor with poignant and moving compositions, capturing the absurdity and tragedy of the depicted events.
**Sample Songs**:
1. **"March of Madness"**: A satirical march capturing the chaotic and disordered nature of wartime leadership.
2. **"Brushstrokes of War"**: A hauntingly beautiful orchestral piece reflecting Paul Morronez's internal conflict and pacifism.
3. **"Hope in the Dark"**: An evocative melody representing the small glimmers of hope amidst the turmoil, often associated with the Lamp Dude.
4. **"Lady Resilience"**: An empowering anthem dedicated to the strong women navigating through the absurdity.
5. **"Bumbling Soldiers"**: A whimsical and humorous tune following Tip, Tap, and Top's misadventures.
### Ethical Considerations
Creating a fictional movie with such sensitive subject matter requires a delicate balance of satire and respect for historical realities. The portrayal should avoid trivializing the real-life horrors and instead use the characters to highlight the absurdity and folly of war and dictatorship.
For an actual project, it would be essential to consult historians, ethicists, and representatives from communities affected by these historical events to ensure that the film is respectful and does not cause harm or trivialize suffering.

Too bad the project was canceled cause it wasn't making great progress as everyone was too laid back with a lack of animation pipeline experience, and eventually the funds ran out.
