As a fellow dude with a weird shaped head who was bullied as a kid...your videos have changed my life, Dr Mike. Thank you.
And you GOTTA respect a man who can hold a lifelong grudge while still being so successful 😂
Critique a DBZ workout... or like how one could look like broly
You should watch his video on Celtiic Warrior Workouts. It shows the stuff he was doing a little later in his career and not as much in his prime.
Suprised no one has invented something so you don't get T-bagged on that 7:59
As a Certified Tyrone from the Hood in 313, Your street lingo is on point, P L A Y A !!!

I see what you did there or do I ? Because I can't see you 🤣🤣
Dammit you beat me to it 😂
you have to wait for your feed to go through the Chinese sensors first😉
Your time is now.
Man is strong as shit, he lifted the Big Show and Edge onto his shoulders and carried them around. That's got to be at least 700lbs of sweaty men on his back (or a quiet night in with Dr Mike as it's otherwise known)
The last bit killed me
Love me a comment that's both anecdotal and for sure, probably, actually casually factual.
Hardly a quiet night
Big show even said John cena was the strongest guy who ever picked him up while talking to Mark Henry
he even carried Xi jin Ping on his back for an entire day while repeating "China Namba Yuan" over and over again.
This ad timing is golden
You are his member but you don't have premium?
@@OmPrakashSahu.legend what exactly do you mean? I started to watch that video by mistake. I watched the extended version after, though. But I had to say the app ad placement is golden
It always Is lol
This is the colab we absolutely need, Mike and John would be the most hilarious Gym session ever.
How come nobody is replying. This must happen

And you know Cena would go for it too
Absolutely wanna see that
Mike is losing it, he didn't even review anyone this time

Cena is legit one of the strongest WWE guys around
He had Big Show and Edge on his shoulders at one time
@@NewNormalWorldOrderyeah that was such an insane feat of strength.
And one of the nicest too, he doesn't have a rule that state he shouldn't lose a fight in a movie, oh and also the most make a wish done
@@NewNormalWorldOrder Big Show said in an interview that Cena was the strongest wrestler he has ever worked with in the ring no questions asked.
Because while cena is now an actor, he was a lifter long before. No Hollywood trainer bullshit. He knows his shit and is legit one of the strongest ever in the wwe.
Considering Cena’s never had a major injury outside of a torn pec, and he can still do these workouts even 15 years after that injury speaks volumes about his work ethic.
A torn pec he returned from about 5 months earlier than expected...dude is Wolverine.
He broke his neck...batista bomb gone wrong
Gear use makes it much easier
He said he's all natural..
@@user-vq2yl6pi9v Which is an obvious lie. He still had to work for his freakishly strong body though!
Bro, the way y'all sneak the RP app into the videos is fkn priceless. Love these commentaries, could watch em all day 😂
Met John Cena at a 24hour local gym in Minneapolis at about 2am in the early 2000's. He had an event the next day at the target center. He was squatting like 495 for reps, guy was fucking massive. I was blown away.
I saw him at an off television house show around 2009-2010. He got knocked down during the match to all fours and while he was getting up, all I could see was the freaking softball sized triceps he had 😮 dude is massive
Serious question how jacked was he
@tgatt5759 how jacked was he? Like my comment. Was he short or tall?
I met him once as a teenager working at Toys R Us. He's about maybe 6 feet, but was absolutely jacked to the hills.
John Cena is 6 4@@Mastabuilda212
It is not a surprise Cena knows what he is talking about he has a degree in exercise science and he tried to be a professional bodybuilder before he tried to be a wrestler.
The man knows his stuff
Ah, that explains why there was no bullshit.
He didn`t "try to be a wrestler", he`s one of the most famous wrestlers ever..
@@afrog2666 he tried and succeeded in being a wrestler

Hey Dr. Mike! Thanks for mentioning that calculator at the beginning of the video. It was fascinating to check out and see the results.
I'm not even mad about that RP App advertisement, that transition was so smooth
That shit hit me hard 😂
I had a good laugh 😂
Not sure if smooth is the right word, but to be fair, it wasn't even trying to be smooth. It was trying to be sudden for comedic effect.
I just hate the fact that i got an ad exactly after.....
why should u even be mad if he advertises anyway
John also snatches and clean and jerks. Super impressive mobility for his build.
I think he played college ball at a small school so he always kept athletic style workouts in there instead of just bodybuilding like a lot of people do
There's no law that says jacked guys can't have mobility 😂. Also Olympic lifts are about technique NOT mobility
@@user-uy3tm9ee5lAlso he was in the WWE......
Mike watching John Cena clean and jerk is probably in the members only section 😮
@mustang8206 so. You'd be surprised how many of those guys lift like bodybuilder

Dr Mike reviewing the gym machines
Idk nothing about John Cena, but this was insane. Not only he got size (which I knew, from pictures) but turns out he is insanely strong and actually knows how to work out. Not only that, but he was quite athletic too. Man really hit the genetics lottery.
Before becoming a wrestler he was a bodybuilder and powerlifter.
Wrestling is honestly the form of sport-related pursuit that requires the most all-round training, because you need performance, injury management, strength, mobility, cardio, and, unlike other sports, you need to care about what your body visually looks like, too. And a guy like Cena has been able to bring all of these traits to an elite level. Insanely impressive, drugs or no drugs.
@@JackgarPrimedefinitely gonna push back on the need to care what your body looks like. Plenty of dudes in professional wrestling do not necessarily have ideal looking bodies. Guys like Kevin Owens, Mark Henry, Big Show, Bubba Ray Dudley, Bray Wyatt, Solo Sikoa etc. plenty of guys past present and future don’t need to be super lean and muscular like AJ Styles, LA Knight, Randy Orton, John Cena etc.
@@JackgarPrime Yep it's very similar to stunt work. Those people have to be in crazy shape and do athletics all the time.
@@DropIt56 Ah, but I didn't say they had to be ideal physique. Isaid they have to care what it looks like. That means having a look that is marketable. And for a lot of guys, that does correlate with being lean and muscular. Not always, sometimes it's more marketable to be a fatter fella, but if you look at the guys who tend to reach the very top of the industry, especially WWE, most of them tend to be in amazing shape visually in addition to performance-wise.
Listen. I have watched, I don't know, maybe 150 clips of Mike's, perhaps 15 full length videos.
Min 12-12:45 makes me chuckle so hard my upper body shakes. I'm getting real close to buying everything he has to offer. Thank you.

When The Big Show was asked who the strongest wrestler he's ever faced is he immediately said John Cena. Said Cena lifted him up like it was nothing.
Saw a clip of it the other day and the version I saw had him mention Kane and Mark Henry first. Then goes on to say how stable Cena was when he was lifting him.
I would've thought Scott steiner in his prime. He actually suplexed him overhead
@@lewieanderson6579Scott Steiner in his prime was unbelievably athletic for how big he was.
@@wigletron2846Scott Steiner was a beast before he hurt his back and very athletic cause he liked the Mexican style, he was suplex city before Kurt or Brock

Thanks!
Big Show himself has gone on record that Cena was the strongest guy he ever worked with and this dude worked with freaks like Brock, Mark Henry, Pre-surgery Kane, Goldberg etc. Cena holding both Big Show and Edge in fireman's carry is still the most insane physical feat I've seen in a wrestling ring.

I use to train with Cena for a few years back in the 2015 timeframe. Dude is a technique cyborg, and an awesome guy all around
That's because he used to be a cyborg, more specifically The Prototype.
I am not a fit person, I'm not a fitness person, and I cannot stand even the idea of going to the gym (where there's people) but man do I enjoy your videos! I just found the channel today, and I'm literally just playing video after video, and it's even getting me amped up to do some pushups at home, lol. Thanks!
Your analogy of the physical reaction to not eating is so accurate. A lot of people dont either know that or understand their body.
I think this is the only review of a celebrity working out that doesn't include a bunch of tomfoolery. Just straight up basics and heavy shit. great!
Holy shit, Scott LOL. The transition at 5:28 is perfect

Fantastic video. Always happy of your very reliable info. Absolutely agree on no cheat day cause it sets you up for failure. I was 300lbs I’m currently 160. I kept myself in a caloric deficit and worked out. Nothing magic about it. But I definitely didn’t cheat and allowed myself to eat what I wanted within my calorie limit.
This is the ultimate bro channel backed with science. Best channel imo for the gym bros and the professionals.
Hey Dr.Mike, thank you very much for what you teach.
I have been 2 years in a gym and the way you explain what and how to workout for better results have given me a lot more encouragement.
It really helps me understand HOW and WHY I am doing a certain exercise. And this knowledge really helps me understand how to treat my body properly.
Thank you very much.
this is a nice production.
You're super hilarious! I love your humor!
This makes me so happy to see this.
I am so happy to see someone in Holllywood with actual old-school normal weight lifting and not just wierd movements and of course Mr. Cena is amazing.
There are two camps regarding the use of belts and sleeves. As you are in favor of them, what is your reasoning? The counter stance is that one develops better stability and over all functionality of a joint when they progressively train without the use of these support tool. Thank you for your channel and sharing quality content.
I liked this video. Nice to see you don't roast everyone 😂. Great advice as always 👍
Great vid. Would love to see you talk about Vince Gironda's old book "The Wild Physique" specifically some of his more unorthodox lifts like the Guillotine Press.
Good editing on this video.😊
It's a very informative video
Very interesting detail with the Menno Henselsmans calculator - though I am certainly making a mistake somewhere in how I use it considering the results I get - since my results puts me somewhere between world class bodybuilder and the largest trainee ever documented (And I have a dadbod and the only muscle I get is through working as an electrician and a bit of sport - so definitely not anywhere near that!)
Damn that front squat set was super impressive. Really heavy weights and at least 11 reps.
Damn, who knew air particles could squat 611 lbs?
This video is priceless, great knowledge, commentary and humor to boot. Thank you!
Good video
Didn’t know this channel was this entertaining SUBSCRIBING 😅
We all benefited from the fact you overcame bullying. I went through a form of bullying myself that I prefer not to discuss, but the fact that I was able to overcome and be as calm and as nice of a person that I am today, still amazes me.
I was bullied so bad in middle school that I told my former classmates years later, if I had been able to get my hands on a gun, quiet a few of them would be screwed. I'm glad it never came to that and even ended up befriending a couple of my worst bullies and am still friends with them today.

I had 2 large pizzas once in my life. Sadly, couldn't finish my tub of Ben and Jerries, so sort of failed said challenge.
This is such a wonderful reaction video, omg
THAT RP HYPERTROPHY APP AD WAS THE BEST PLUG EVER 😂
And most importantly: he has the *RP HYPERTROPHY APP.*
Im not surprised all his forms are damn near perfect. Theres a great interview with Cena where he explains he actually "hates" working out. He wants to get in and get out as fast as possible. And his routine is something like 30 minutes of stretching and flexibility work, then 30 minutes of just the most hard core clanging and banging lifting. He wants it as efficient and as maximum results as humanly possible.
The Big Show, Paul Wight, was asked who was the strongest people hes wrestled and one of them was Cena. He said that at 400lbs+ Cena could lift him up and felt like he could stay up there all day. Just order a pizza until Cena decided to put him down and never felt a single concern of John struggling or dropping him.
5:52 I went and looked into this, apparently the gym Cena trains at is called Hard Knocks South, which is his gym he opened along with one of his friends who runs the place. It's named after the gym Cena used to train at when he was a teenager in Massachusetts, though I'm not sure if the gyms are connected in any way.
A lot of the names on that wall are actually other wrestlers.
Yo the hypertrophy app add placement gets me every time😂😂

Going to the FFMI calc and putting in my info as an overweight guy and getting "advanced gym user" is... Nice. I always felt i put on muscle quickly and strength wise never had issues but being overweight always made me feel like I was well below average so that's an interesting tool.
I’d love to see a video from Dr. Mike about ways to work around a stagnant appetite. I struggle to find the gumption to eat more than one meal a day -thankfully my body adapts well to my lack of appetite. I’ve been trying to gain muscle but no appetite means no muscle. Ggs
People don't know John was into bodybuildering well before wrestling. Jim Cornette even talks abt him. The prototype was what they called him. He did pick it up quickly. He may not be the best or most technical wrestler, but he knew how to work the crowd and become a fan favorite.
It all abt putting asses in the seat.
