Love that Dave is just there doing the exercises as if he was not being recorded, he respects his coach enough to not take the spotlight away from him.
He seems extremely humble

Actually Batista was always a very quiet guy before he got big in wrestling. Ohio Valley Wrestling is what taught him to have a personality

He was even pretty quiet in his early days in WWE even, as Decon Batista and his days in Evolution, he'd mumble in his backstage segments and was almost never on the live mic.
I'd say it wasn't until his program with Eddie Guerrero on Smackdown, thats where he really came out of his shell and found his voice as a performer. I don't think Batista would have made it in Hollywood without sitting under the learning tree with Eddie, who was an incredible talker, but was also quiet outside the ring.
Dave is a damn solid dude. Underrated actor too
Refreshing to see an A-list celeb's trainer that actually knows what he's talking about and doesn't care about looking flashy/different. I always hate seeing Hollywood trainers that make up nonsense or promote terribly inefficient work outs to "set themselves apart from the rest."
I had high hopes and it's nice seeing a workout being focused on the workout and not like hold this medicine ball while doing one foot jumps onto a balance board with chains over your shoulders... I haven't seen that yet, but it sounds like the hollywood trash ideas.
A lot of these will put out a lot of BS to entertain people who have never been to the gym before in their life. Dave's exercise is very good and people who exercise will understand it. Chris Hemsworth exercise video is worthless to make him look as he does with such crappy work he's probably blasting more gear than most IFBB pros, but he probably does real weight training but the training video he did that Dr.Mike covered was garbage. Also I doubt Chris Hemsworth doesn't do roids to play Thor even with proper weight training.
I think it's likely because of Batista's actual experience with lifting, he can tell who is legit and who is full of crap.

We have had many other celebrities, but they don't have actual workouts in them. To be fair, those celebs don't look like they lift either, so it's pretty much the viewer's fault if they think that those activities are effective.

I have actually been on set & spoken with Dave, he's actually super soft spoken & very considerate
I’m just repeating stories I’ve heard in interviews (but one of them did come from Bautista himself) but he supposedly underwent a significant shift to his approach and general demeanor after his backstage “incident” with another pro wrestler, Booker T.
He is extraordinarily humble

@@Geordiecrafts I'd rather he get a mic, but the sound would only be used to accurately write subtitles and not in the video. A lot of the times there are no subtitles for Scott.
Bautista > The Rock. I don't care much for WWE stuff but as far as the acting goes, Bautista is far better. Unlike The Rock he actually seems to take on different, more interesting roles whereas Dwayne just plays the same character in every film he is in.
I agree, I feel like the rock just plays himself in every movie he's in.
The best way I could describe it is that Bautista is an actor, and Rock is a movie star. Rock's actual acting ability isn't the draw, it's that he has a big name and is extremely photogenic. Bautista, on the other hand, while also being a big name and looks cool on screen, is someone you get when you want more of a proper performance. Especially if there are some character subtleties you want to get across. Even as Drax, an obviously extremely over-the-top literal comic book character, he was able to bring a lot of subtext in his performance, strong, but subdued emotional beats, all those sorts of things that can create dimensions to such an exaggerated character. Being able to take a character like that from "haha funny comic relief" but adding enough to show that no, there's actually a lot more going on with this guy, is a talent between the writers, directors, and actors, and not something I think is as much in Rock's skillset.
The same is true for Ryan Reynolds but nobody wants to admit that. He also plays the same character over and over again. But Yes Batista is a better actor than Dwayne.

@@MrBeckenhimself You're 100% right but also kind of missing what I feel is how most people feel about Reynolds. Before Deadpool all I ever heard was that he was the same character in everything, genuinely likeable and funny but very one dimensional. So what did he do? Went and claimed the IP that's essentially a super hero personification of his personality. Reynolds is born to be Deadpool, up until then I heard MANY people say he was overrated and one dimensional, but that's just my experience with it. My friend/colleague circle could have been way different than yours. And yeah Dave smokes the rock in acting lol.

I had knee issues for years and i would agree from personal experience that exposing them to loads in weak positions intelligently is very beneficial and does actually make them noticeably stronger and healthier.
Not sure what i love most about this video. The tips, Dave being all around amazing, or the mike shitting on v shred.

Regarding the hard rock music transitions, there was a John Meadows video where he was doing calves, and he's just talking to camera in his soft kermit the frog voice, saying something like "So we're gonna go over here to the calf raises" and then this hard rock music kicks in, and he finishes that and then says "now we'll do some bent knee raises" *more hard rock guitar* I don't know if it was an intentional parody but it was pretty funny for his style of videos.

1. I think Batista wasn't "Lucky" to have this trainer. He was an amateur bodybuilder, so he knows his stuff enough to know who to hire to train him.

That rp plug transition caught me totally off guard, seriously getting to elite level.
For my warm ups i really like to do a “prehab” before I warm up with a deloaded set. Rotator cuff exercises if I’m doing upper and planks/side planks/bridges for lower. Just as an example.
I think it’s important to work those muscles that people typically end up injuring first prior to the workout.
