Denis Wheeler yeah, but this is also the standard E63, not the E63 AMG S-Model 4Matic. If they had that car, it would still beat the Audi like it did here, and likely take the victories where it lost as well. And I'm not an Audi basher, I have an S5(and a few Mercedes, admittedly), but there simply isn't anything like a Mercedes. Nothing.
No hate, you're not a BMW guy. :) I genuinely adore VAG, but Mercedes will forever have my heart. Also, not a massive fan of the last C-Class, but the new one is beautiful and wonderful. Too bad America will likely never get the wagon. Why German automakers, WHY?
***** yup, because my fellow countrymen are mostly idiots, and would rather have useless tiny SUV's than wagons, so they don't sell well and we rarely get them. And if we do, its hardly ever the performance variants. And we don't get the same options or engines (or detuned versions if we're lucky) mostly because of our laws and emissions regulations. Yeah, that's true, but here there are a staggering number of trucks here that will never go off road or be used as trucks should. Same with our "cute-ute" epidemic. Ruin the point of an SUV for "style". Kill me. I have a sedan (er, estate), but I prefer the look/utility of MOST wagons to their sedan counterparts. The reflectors just erk me because they are hideous, and usually the melting point of the glue is higher than that of the plastic, so you can't take them out, and you have to buy new headlights to get rid of it (not cheap when you consider most new cars have HID's/Xenons/LED's, and when you consider Mercedes active LED lights with cameras and all that inside, it's a mighty expensive fix). "the MB is more playfull" is the best translation of "the MB can´t handle the power and just drifts in every corner you enter"
I'll never understand why they have to mention what these cars are like on the track? I mean they're not coupes or hot hatchbacks, they're bloody estates and which e63 or rs6 owner is gonna take them for a track day??? They're for everyday use and only time you'll be close to using the full torque is when on the motorway, in which case audi is better due to better transmission and greater torque across the gears
Mahi Rahman Because they can't film themselves driving semi-dangerously on twisty public roads and racing all those coupes & hot hatches (as most owners of these vehicles WILL do on a regular basis). You don't buy an £80,000 RS6 or E63 AMG just to sit on the motorway - that's what the £40k diesels are for. You get OFF the motorway whenever possible and find some fun roads to enjoy! Also, everyone I know who's owned an Audi RS has taken it on a track at least once.
Why would u need a 5.5l AMG Merc just to sit back to admire the tail lights of the 4l RS6? Some speak of the noise level of the Merc better than the Audi due to the low noise level.. but would u buy a V8 to keep it quiet?? The whole idea of having a V8 to to feel the roar of the angry horses, but these clips simply ignore the fact that the RS6 is given only a 4litre power plant, to enable such power output is already an achievement. Practical? I beg to differ from the views of the test driver, do u drift when driving to the market to do shoping?? Very contridicting, th
You've completely missed the point. If you really think that they couldn't have eeked more power out of that 5.5 then you've no idea about engines. They do an E63 4Matic, (maybe not at the date of this test).
does anyone know if you can get the rs6 bodykit on a regular a6/s6? The bodykit on the rs6 is a lot more aggressive than the standard a6 one. It would be fun to own an a6 with a an rs6 body kit because of the high taxes (here in sweden) when you have a big engine, lots of cylinders and not so eco friendly. So is it possible to have an rs6 body on an a6/s6?
There are licensed aftermarket companies who make kits bespoke and approved by Audi. But I imagine they are extremely expensive! They will make an A6 look much more like an RS6 though...and probably even more special as they will be bespoke. But in reality, probably be cheaper to just get an RS6 overall!
Tell me about it. I don't think you can make your A6 look like RS6 without it being an actual RS6...can probably make it look like an S6 though which looks very close to a standard S-Line car.
Kunaal Soni yeah thats the thing, the S6 looks pretty much like an A6 with S-line. It's like not "fair" for those who wants a good looking car without having it to drink several gallons per second... Some of us just wants a good looking car without hurting the environment. Besides, here in Sweden, it's like impossible to drive fast with any performance car...
+janna graham you sound like u would be best person to give advice jenna haha You do know they make 4wd Mercs right? E63 4Matic would have been a fair comparison lol not to mention they have cars like ML63, G63 etc etc where as what does Audi have? a Q7? haha please keep the Audi, less shitty cars for us to see on road considering they always breaking down.
+Ray Tech yes and my experience with my own cars and those of friends or family(many of whom are in the automotive business) is that old Mercedes can last forever but they don't recommend the newer models (2005-2012 or so, haven't heard much about newer models than that besides some issues with some minor electrical on a c class). Audis certainly had issues(late 90s thru the 2005 or so) with electrical problems and timing. The B7s were a big improvement but not as good as the B8. Those I know who work on cars told me(when I was looking for an S4) that they didn't see many issues, they are just hard to work on. I trust the newer Audis more. I do love Mercs, I want an s class one day. I've looked at a couple but I just can't get over some of the problems I've heard of and their cost.
the F1 1.5l engine was build on used old iron block M10. They only used blocks with more than 200.000km on the clock. During this time it was impossible to build iron blocks without tension, the only way during that time was to use high km iron blocks who lost the steel tension. The engines could only do 2-3 laps at full boost (5.5bar) and 1300hp, after that the block was finished
Well, all wheel drive on the e63 is not really available in the UK. There is no 4matic for RHD vehicles. Its only available in left hand drive for the time being.
Why do you guys keep comparing these awd cars vs rwd cars on a wet road?? Common sense the awd will win all day, same thing u guys did with the rs7 vs the m6 grand coupe, so wait until its dry so it will be alittle more fair for the rwd to try and grip....
Rs6 all day long! This man is bias in terms of reviewing this car. We don't live near autobahn so what's the point of mentioning it? Do you think german does not have their own car review channel? Do you even drive sideways (drifting) every single time you go to the office or whilst driving home? What we need is a car that's safe and fast. Ohh don't forget, good looking unlike your old fart mercedes.
yeah and then your car ends up in the shop two weeks later cause something went wrong like all audis do. i will never own another audi again. mercedes all the way little guy.
1, Audi has massive front overhang because they place their engine longitudinally on the FWD based AWD platform, just like the Subaru Legacy. 2, Unlike the Legacy, which has boxer engine to cope the overhang, has a normal V shaped engine, therefore has a high center of gravity. 3. Most Audi RS models tends to be really heavy, mostly because of all the complicated electronics to tame the understeer.
The 10k extra includes otherwise cost options such as Panoramic roof, keyless go, performance pack and increase to speed limiter. The increase to 186mph does, from experience, make a big difference right through the power band, not just at the maximum speed. In the UK, we only get 2wd so there is no weight gain of 4wd. The limited slip differential will help the 's', but not as well as 4wd. The amount these cars cost anyway, the premium for the 's' is definitely worth it.
The only Merc E63 that can beat the RS6 is probably the E63 S 4matic which if I am not wrong none will be going o the UK, but I am sure it will be more expensive than the RS6 too.
halabi97 The S6 is one level down and is not fair neither cos is not in the same price range as the other cars. Tell you what, I can already verify what I said about the E63 S (rear-wheel drive version), Chris Harris tested it against the M6 Gran Coupe and the Jaguar XF RS and even with the BMW being down on power, it smoked the E63 S all the way from 0 to 155 mph until the limiter kicked in. Auto Express also pitted the RS7 against the M6 Gran Coupe and the RS7 smoked it hands down with the RS7 power train being the same as the RS6. Bottomline, the difference maker lies in all-wheel drive vs rear-wheel drive. I don't think we can argue whether it is fair or not cos historically Audi has always been making Quattro all-wheel drive cars whereas BMW and Merc haven't. But, if you are after the fastest saloon or station wagon, it will be safe to say the Merc E63 S 4matic will be the fastest with 585 HP.
halabi97 But, to be fair, some folks have always trashed the Audi becuse it is AWD and it understeers and doesn't do power drifts as well. To me, the most interesting point to note is how can the M6 Gran Couple smoke the E63 S with both being rear-wheel drive ? The difference probably lies in the Merc's MCT gearbox which is inferior to BMW's ZF 8-speed twin clutch. Personally, I would pick the RS6 any day cos in day-to-day practical driving, it is the fastest and the easiest to harness the potential of the car. Unless you are a very skilled driver and can find places to do power drift to appreciate the upside of the rear-wheel drive counterparts such as the Merc or BMW, it really doesn't matter to me cos ultimately these are large and heavy cars and I wouldn't expect the sharpest handling from them. In any case, for what is worth, they have the E63 S 4matic in the States and Head-to-Head tested it against the M5 (with the Competition Package) and needless to say the Merc being AWD smoked the M5. In fact, it can probably smoke a Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4 when it clocked 3.4 sec to 60 mph (not 62 mph or the 100 kph equivalent as they use metric in Europe and the LP560-4 can do 0-100 kph in 3.7 sec).
Audi engineers are very serious. They themselves say that their cars are meant to blast the Autobahn, and not go round a track. It'no surprise that their cars aren't "fun" in a way that other cars are. They're fun on the highways when overtaking. Look at the drivers' faces in the drag race.
RS6 any day !! Is faster and it looks a billion times better than the Merc. So, what is there not to like ? These are not track cars anyway, so who cares about the positive turn-in and all that ?! All I know is I will smoke an E63 Estate on the road anytime especially when is wet if you live in the UK.
Agreed. But i think editor is wrong still, RWD is more chance of end up in drift situation on track whereas Audi Quattro is prevent this kind thing from happening. Drift fun in E63 is not equal to good handling. But having RWD car on wet and try to find out if it's faster than AWD car is ridiculous.
this guy, do not know what mean feel in drive, if you wana drift car you will buy old bmw 3 with 150 hp, and you have more fun then you can get from this amg. Its simple if you wana showup car you can buy amg, if you wana car for the family, you can buy x5, q7 for this price of money. stupid cars is my opinion. But audi is better then amg. :DDDDD
CrimnlBT that is the most pointless justification i have ever heard in my entire life! let me get this straight, you're saying that because a cls which is tuned by a bunch of russians and driven by.. who knows who, loses from a tuned audi means that a completly different mercedes is slower than that rs6?! look at the figures and road tests and you will see that the E63 S will smoke that rs6. it also handles as good as an m5 (look motortrend for that one). the audi is just not the best car. live with it fanboy.
audi rs6 wasn't built for the track its a everyday family touring car .who would drive that merc sideway in crap weather and again on a track . rs6 is best car and built for all weather , when it snow merc will stay in garage. he said audi is a blunt instrument ? so is my dildo but it does the job.
hahaha do you hear about 4matic system on merc do you wich is one best in the entire world take a example a g wagon they go enewhere do you want and they also got a e class 4matic i have c class 4matic i can say you i go in alps and once is snow plower broke down and because such of snow other cars is stuck like audi golf and etc evrybody is looking at me like some wirdi how a go to snow no chains because i have 4matic and i have snow tire on merc all people who see me is mout take out hahga
+Maria Nikolich loads of crap I've driven Audi's in deep snow I've got winter tires on my Audi . You don't have a clue. Also you didn't make much sense in what you write down
Well it does serve a purpose at certain circumstances, but when it comes to driving pleasure on dry roads, I think the RWD feels more natural, less understeer, more challenging to drive, and there's more freedom to play with the precision, but anyway it all comes to the condition and purpose.
I guess I was going to fast for the conditions and wasn't expecting the car to go into understeer so quickly, it was a fwd car so if I hit the power, brakes or anything I'd of lost some cornering grip and probably ended up in the gutter. The car needs a stiffer rear anti-roll bar. Majority of people don't push their cars half a hard as I do sometimes, so I guess it's safest for them. But come to think of it, the car could be neutral and still have ESP to save them... just a thought.
To all the Merc fans Audi has been making fwd cars for very very long now they have won 10 World Rally Champion Cups in a row when they made the Audi Quattro... They also Have 12 Le Mans Cups.. also won in a row next year it'll be 13 and their Le Mans car is also fwd... Merc is a good car but they not the best at everything and infact if you think logically about this why did Mercedes go fwd if they according to you guys (the merc fans) the best... why would they do what audi does if audi is so shit according do you guys...
No, Europe has three versions to choose from E63 (RWD 557hp), E63 4Matic (AWD 557hp), and E63 S (AWD 585hp). However, the UK has right hand drive and they will have to settle with rwd. The AWD versions are faster then the RS6 in a straight line aswell.
I don't think so, the Mercedes might do you 0-60 mph in 3.2 seconds but there is a big difference between 0-60 mph time and 0-62 mph because of the gear shifting. And I don't think the E63 4 matic is as good in the wet as the Audi because it has a split (67% to the rear, 33% to the front) with the drivetrain while the RS6 has a system which gives the power and torque to the we heels with the most traction.
SIMcityplayer2002 first, 0-60 time and 0-62 times aren't big different. Coz most of them can hit 65mph in 1 st gear. Second, 67% and 33% is the standard AWD setting. Both 4 matic and Quarttro will split thrut to the wheel with most traction. Depands how well and how much spinning will the AWD system allow.
Azaan Habib There arent that many cars that can. The first generation Lamborghini Gallardo could hit 63/64 MPH in 1st gear. These stations hit about 50mph max in first gear. The audi even less because it has 8 speed ZF automatic with torque converter, and the Merc has 7 speeds. So there is absolutely no reason for both of them to put in such a long first gear.
Audi really does make the best super-estates in the world with their RS- line. It would be interesting to put the HSV in this test as well for comparison sake though.
It's mainly because they appear to be keeping the 4WD versions in countries where you are likely to get snow. I think it is also based on research of where they sell the most 4matic cars already. Merc rarely makes a decision without a mountain of data.
It's got to do with packaging I guess, since in UK they drive on the left. BMW also doesn't sell any awd cars in UK apart from X5 and other Xs. In mainland europe, they sell everything from small 1 series to big 7 series with awd.
Please link me E 63 AMG Model S road tests with accurate measurement tools. I would love to see one! Also, 0-100km/h is measured at a standard tarmac. Tracks where these are tested is are often grippier. Both cars are faster there than normally.
You need to do a test of the E63 S Model w/ 577 bhp and a 0-60 of 3.4 sec. That model matches with the RS6 and the M5 Competition. The normal E63 is a lot slower, but the E63 model S wipes the floor with the RS6.
I don't think we're getting the RS6 here in North America.. I too own an E60 M5 and still absolutely love it! My advice: I'd just keep the E60 as it is still the ideal super sedan. It ticks all of the boxes and is also much lighter than it's newest successors (new RS6 is over 200lbs heavier!). If you're worried about speed, visit RPi and get an exhaust system (which gets you big horsepower if you do everything engine back) or Evolve for an ECU (about 35 - 40hp gain!). This is my plan anyways..
but correcting understeer is pretty easy, get off throttle or slightly get on the brakes, if you reach a point of understeer in a RWD car you could so the same but usually the back tries to overtake the front. Why do you think compoanies make their cars handle with a little but of push on the limit........because its generally safer
Love both cars but the e63 now come awd and I think testing them in the wet while in a straight line is a bit unfair. Still agreed with you in every other aspect of the review.
I think there was no 4matic because Mercedes aren't selling that in the UK and with it being a UK review for UK road makes sense. 4matic is available in the rest of europe though.
But RWD cars usually DO have better handling. Front wheels are only used for handling and rear wheels only for drive. You can do sharp curves faster in RWD car than 4WD or FWD. And there is also somewhat better feeling, though the difference is subtle in modern cars. I had BMW E36 and E46 with RWD and those cars had amazing handling. Btw, one more advantage of RWD is easier parking, because the car doesn't have a homokinetic joints on the front wheels, so you can turn them more to the side ;)
When you're driving it's not about performance and numbers. It's the driving pleasure and the "feel" that counts when it comes to "sporting" cars. If your not 14 you'll agree.
In England, where the roads are usually wet, potholed or both, the AWD Audi just makes more sense. I'd rather understeer a little than oversteer into uncoming traffic because it's more "fun". Why do reviewers always test road cars on a track anyway? No one who buys an RS6 is going to track it.
Even though these guys say the Mercedes is better...I would go for the Audi FOR SURE! I love the RS6

I think people should watch the video of the channel "drive", comparing a rs6 and cls63 amg. Then you understand why this video is so stupid!
Imagine how Auto Express feel now after letting Mat leave for Car Wow.

Performance cars should be tested on performance
AUDI is so fucking good.
rs6 more good looking!but AMG engine sound is just amazing!!!
JUST FACE IT.
The Audi is faster.
On a straight line yes...
+Gianni Geurtjens 4wd vs RWD on wet surface , sigh , cheap way to win tho

Best review I've seen of these. Taking points into account that are sometimes ignored.
RS6 all day
RS6 is gay, e63 AMG is a monster, will leave audi behind

im dead😂😂😂

E63 4-matic wins. Do they make one?
+Jon Londrezos Yes they did made one and I saw a video in another channel Mercedes Benz won in a drag race

The road test editor rates BMW and Mercedes high, only done a decent review on the TT. Glad he isn't in CarBuyer.
Because the E class can easily do 10s after a bit of tuning.
If you need a car to go shopping with, get a little Opel, you can't drift them anyway.
But in reality, probably be cheaper to just get an RS6 overall!
haha but the running costs of an RS6 is out of my world :P
Tell me about it. I don't think you can make your A6 look like RS6 without it being an actual RS6...can probably make it look like an S6 though which looks very close to a standard S-Line car.
Kunaal Soni yeah thats the thing, the S6 looks pretty much like an A6 with S-line. It's like not "fair" for those who wants a good looking car without having it to drink several gallons per second... Some of us just wants a good looking car without hurting the environment. Besides, here in Sweden, it's like impossible to drive fast with any performance car...
You don't go on the track to drift! You go there to set a lap time.
Is that the top model of rs6 or there is only one ......
Anyway u should compare it with the merc e63 samg
Forget Ferrari, forget Lamborghini, never mind Pagani, this is my ultimate dream car.
+K onliner Which of the two cars do you mean by 'this'?
+appelpower1 E63 S of course :P
I mean the E Class
***** Ah, thank you.
***** i knew it :D
Mat,You work for two different channel(autoexpress and carbuyer)?
rs6 is best i won't be driving it round a bloody track lol , for crap uk weather rain snow the audi will be still moving where the merc won't .
+Steve Timms yes I do but I'm judging on this video and I would still pick Audi
+Ray Tech Always break down? and you're comparing this to Mercedes? lmfao...
+Evan Gonzalez yea i am do you own any cars from either brand? Unless you do you cant talk lol
I've looked at a couple but I just can't get over some of the problems I've heard of and their cost.
what about the 4matic version? and the s version? :-O
funny, chris harris said the rs6 is way better than the cls sportbrake, which is pretty much the same as the e63
Chris Harris is right
How much did audi pay you not to use the 4matic mb or, do the comparo on dry pavement?
now put the E63 S 4matic and than make a 402m drag race
Don't forget that Mercedes, on E-Class AMG, has the S-model. Which is a truly monster.
The Merc is for 80 year olds having a crisis, it's like a hearse. It has an analogue clock for Christs sake! Audi Audi Audi all day long!
the F1 1.5l engine was build on used old iron block M10.
Audi forever and the best!!
Well, all wheel drive on the e63 is not really available in the UK.
There is no 4matic for RHD vehicles. Its only available in left hand drive for the time being.
love audi
Why do you guys keep comparing these awd cars vs rwd cars on a wet road?? Common sense the awd will win all day, same thing u guys did with the rs7 vs the m6 grand coupe, so wait until its dry so it will be alittle more fair for the rwd to try and grip....
adam husien it rains a lot in the uk so fair test not always guna be dry is it
Rs6 all day long!
Yeah! I agree. What's the point in having fun in a car? Lol.
Wouldn't the 2014 AWD E63, S or not, make for a better comparison?
I'm in Canada Quattro all the way I love watching people get stuck in snow and smash in to other cars while I'm going along at 120 passin people lol
yeah and then your car ends up in the shop two weeks later cause something went wrong like all audis do. i will never own another audi again. mercedes all the way little guy.
Audi has a better customer satisfaction record than any other German company, auto express has said this countless times
Ronald C. Koehler keep crying bro,wat u say is never gonna happen
RS6 all day, everyday.
This deserves a like and a sub
Mercedes-Benz have never really made good looking estates. The saloon looks so much better and the AMG S is better than both of these.
i agree with you bro e63 amg s is the best
nope the RS6 avant performance will beat a S also Merc do the CLS Shooting brake which is beautiful.
Y not e63 AMG S model?
The only Merc E63 that can beat the RS6 is probably the E63 S 4matic which if I am not wrong none will be going o the UK, but I am sure it will be more expensive than the RS6 too.
Alex Fu Then y not an S6? 4WD vs Rwd isn't fair in a short wet drag race
halabi97 The S6 is one level down and is not fair neither cos is not in the same price range as the other cars.
In fact, it can probably smoke a Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4 when it clocked 3.4 sec to 60 mph (not 62 mph or the 100 kph equivalent as they use metric in Europe and the LP560-4 can do 0-100 kph in 3.7 sec).
halabi97 it would still lose
"Audi - Bit of a blunt instrument" Heard that so many times about Audi and VW
Audi engineers are very serious. They themselves say that their cars are meant to blast the Autobahn, and not go round a track. It'no surprise that their cars aren't "fun" in a way that other cars are. They're fun on the highways when overtaking. Look at the drivers' faces in the drag race.
Rs6 is the best
What's the point of this test? The 4Matic was already out when this test was done, why didn't they use it?
RS6 any day !! Is faster and it looks a billion times better than the Merc. So, what is there not to like ? These are not track cars anyway, so who cares about the positive turn-in and all that ?! All I know is I will smoke an E63 Estate on the road anytime especially when is wet if you live in the UK.
Yes, they should have done it, but it is not available in the UK.
the mercedes e is the ideal machine for the funeral ceremonies
i am a bmw fanboy, and a big RWD fan , but honestly, that audi with that looks (especially with matte grey paint) , i think is the one to have
audi is the best!! mercedes is for old people.. they dont need a good car :D
Hi everyone, it’s Mar from Carwow😝
Such a subjective review. As usual
:DDDDD
The E63 4Matic would've made this comparison a lot more interesting. Please do the comparison again with it.
Why didn't you choose the merc with 4-matic? Then the merc would have been faster than that rubbish audi!
No 1 beats Audi in a straight line or even a track time!
butthurt fanboy^^
CrimnlBT You just can't admit that the merc is faster if it's 4-matic? Do I hear that from a butthurt audi fanboy maybe?
Adrian Strand not really but seing that a 680hp oct audi rs6 is faster round a lap than a 830hp awd gad cls is quite speaking for itself.^^
The e63 4-MATIC is not sold in the UK because the drive shaft gets in the way of the right hand side steering therefore auto express did not use it.
audi rs6 wasn't built for the track its a everyday family touring car .who would drive that merc sideway in crap weather and again on a track .
rs6 is best car and built for all weather , when it snow merc will stay in garage. he said audi is a blunt instrument ? so is my dildo but it does the job.
You can always take a station wagon to the track and go drifting with your kids in the back and groceries in the trunk!!
+janna graham Audi never can be the best, anyway they made a straight line machine but Mercedes always will be the best driving car
hahaha do you hear about 4matic system on merc do you wich is one best in the entire world take a example a g wagon they go enewhere do you want and they also got a e class 4matic i have c class 4matic i can say you i go in alps and once is snow plower broke down and because such of snow other cars is stuck like audi golf and etc evrybody is looking at me like some wirdi how a go to snow no chains because i have 4matic and i have snow tire on merc all people who see me is mout take out hahga
+Maria Nikolich loads of crap I've driven Audi's in deep snow I've got winter tires on my Audi . You don't have a clue. Also you didn't make much sense in what you write down
janna graham Audi can never be like Mercedes. Mercedes has the most sophisticated All Wheel drive system it is the best in the business
had a e63 amg. great car. loved it but It is not type approved to tow. Merc Warranty wont cover it. Sold it and got a RS6 which will tow.
AWD is for pussies anyway. A good rear wheel drive with LSD any day of the week.
well somebody has never been to finnland. try you RWD there ;)
Haha says the guy with the rally car profile pic
TheIncredibleKastrik or Canada...
Well it does serve a purpose at certain circumstances, but when it comes to driving pleasure on dry roads, I think the RWD feels more natural, less understeer, more challenging to drive, and there's more freedom to play with the precision, but anyway it all comes to the condition and purpose.
Yes but there was also an sAMG E63 that was AWD and had more power. This sAMG competed more closely with the RS6.
The Audi violently sodomizes the Mercedes.
The AWD versions are faster then the RS6 in a straight line aswell.
if the merc would have 4 wheel drive it would be the winner of the drag race
Okay they are not that much of a big difference, but I have never heard of a car that can hit 65mph in first gear
.
Azaan Habib Now you know.
Their argument against Audi is irrelevant. Why would someone buy this type of car for drifting, really. I want to see some real review.
did anyone heard how much noisy inside was the merc in drag race when the camera was in merc
love both cars, they're great machines but the audi looks so much more amazing
And you are the ideal person for the "I don`t know a shit about cars" contest...
even though I own an Audi, I liked the video.
BMW and MERC B are dancing with the devil when tryin'a play with the [R]acing[S]port[6]!
Finally some one knows who's best
He said the Merc was more agile and didn't understeer as much as the Audi. I think that's why.
why compare the 2wd merc?
4matic versions are not available in the UK
Why didn't your review the S-Model 4 Wheel drive car?
if MAT is reviewing cars, let MAT review it!!!! how hard is that!
Yeah, I've watched it. Please give me both. Thanks.
the 4matic E63 is not available in the UK
Yep, but they changed to a 5.5L biturbo for 2012. Same time as the facelifted the interior.
I think there's a 4wd version for the amg//? Not sure
The Merc is also availabe with 4 wheel drive (4matic), isn't it?
the merc also has an option of the 4matic but in Britain it is goin to be a left hand drive
That is true.. this thing will be a monster!
When you're driving it's not about performance and numbers. It's the driving pleasure and the "feel" that counts when it comes to "sporting" cars. If your not 14 you'll agree.
Why dont you take the S Model???
e63 4matic wont isn't available in the UK
In England, where the roads are usually wet, potholed or both, the AWD Audi just makes more sense. I'd rather understeer a little than oversteer into uncoming traffic because it's more "fun". Why do reviewers always test road cars on a track anyway? No one who buys an RS6 is going to track it.
It's very simple. The 4Matic is not available in the UK.
