Don't ever get rid of that Stickmate. I promise you will regret it. It will outlast the Vulcan. I'm trying to find one in my area, or a Thunderbolt. Good vid.

@@Mrhilljack They don't make them with a transformer anymore. Yours will outlast the new ones for sure.

Got an old thunderbolt probably from the mid 80’s works like butter! Also have the titanium 225 blows the thunderbolt out of the water, just picked up the outlaw these Vulcan welders are absolutely fantastic. I’m die hard miller my dad is die hard Lincoln. The thunderbolt was my grandfather’s machine.

@@Leeshlongington I had a Vulcan Commander 225, that was a Thunderbolt knock-off. It broke... a transformer welder. If you can't get a transformer welder right, then I definitely don't want an inverter from the same company.

Ok I have one as well. Do you have to have your main 30amp braker on to use the welder? Mine won't unless it is on. It won't even power up the scree unless it on regardless of welding switch on. Nowhere in the manual does it say to have that braker on in order to weld.

@@adambmonroe humm. Yep. I have always just left the breaker on, never thought much about it

@@Mrhilljack Well try turning it of next time and let me know! haha....I know my Lincoln I had at the dealer had to be set a certain way to run welder or outlet. Couldn't run both at the same time. The manual does say to run at max 195amps if running an outlet for the Vulcan.

Was No time to gouge out shanks or wait on new ones to arrive. . Had to have this machine on job immediately . teeth doing well after more than 400 hours . That ar400 wears way longer than the cast teeth that are mostly designed just to sell you more as you go, i wouldn't do this to a good bucket with good serviceable shanks, but I have welded ar400 to the teeth on a good bucket ..Looking for a great deal on a 42 inch bucket .. this 36 is kinda small for loading trucks. I have a this 160 case and a 260 both on the same job . But Im a one man show ..i put every hour on every machine and if it breaks Im the only one to fix it . Thanks for watching

You need to slide your rod like a striking a match to get it going easily

Hell yeah, I just bought one of these welders. It was a floor model, so it didnt have the leads.
Do you know what type of lead connector plugs it uses? I bought some dinse 10 25 ones and they were too small for the hole. Not in the manual either!

Meant to say buy.....damn fingers to big for keyboard. Lol
Not expensive to replace shanks or hard. Just time and its done properly.
