James, I just finished watching A Pilgrim's Journey. Of all the Camino videos I have watched, yours does the best to capture the elements of humanity and community. The friends you made, for a time, became my friends too. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for sharing your experience with us.

One of the best Camino films Ive seen. A really good balance of all the elements. I love all the walk throughs of the Alburques as you were finding your bed each evening. Also, that both Margaret and James said essentially the same thing, if you find yourself watching this and thinking you want to, or must do it, then you should. It is calling you. There is a reason.

Such a special journey I did with my father. Such a struggle walking so far everyday, my bones ached my feet were covered in blisters but I'd do it again in a drop of a hat.

This documentary gives you a good impression what you will experience by walking the camino F. It brings back all those special moments in a split second. The landscape....astonishing in it's beauty 😘
And...... on top of the world we hung out Tibetans flags so that the wind will carry the words of love and spread them over the world...

I just walked it in April and May 2016. It was sooooo much wetter! I was glad of my water proof Keens and green poncho. I have held on to the peace I found on the Camino and find I am much less reactive. It gave me a much better perspective on my life and my friends. If the Camino calls you, answer it! You will be so glad you did.

This is wonderfully done! It seems like only yesterday I was there. I walked between 17th September 2013 & 1st November 2013. Made it to Finisterre. Walked the beach. Watched the Atlantic. Some of that shoulder time was getting to the start & home. 5 weeks - 500 miles. Before I knew it, back in the USA. Watching your wonderfully true video I felt that the Camino was exactly where I belong. Buen Camino, peregrinos!!!!!!!

Thanks so much for this huge labour of love, Jamie! I did the Norte this past summer, and I miss the Camino everyday. I watched this film for the first time last year when I first started planning and I've watched it three or four times since. I've watched clips since getting back just to deal with some of the Camino-sickness that strikes every now and again. The Norte is different in so many ways, but in others it is exactly the same. The relationships and the people for the the most part.

This is one of the best videos on the Camino I could find.
Most of them are disturbed by irritating background music, which makes it impossible to experience the atmosphere of the trip and to listen to spoken word. No music at all, would be the best.
I know how difficult it is to make a good documentary on your own, without a videocrew, so I give you my compliments.

I walked the part through Galacia as a 64 year old in 2013. The best thing I ever did for myself. I long to go back but not sure I could make it a my age even though I am still healthy and able bodied. I watched the entire video but really enjoyed that last part. All the best to you and I hope you are doing well. Loved your stories and sharing of the friendships you made. Blessings! Bien Camino!

Thank you, Jamie! I just discovered this and I think you did a great job. I want to walk The Camino, but if I never get to walk it, I can watch this and walk back and forth in front of my TV for a "virtual Camino" experience. But if I DO get to go -- this is beautifully informative -- especially about the albergues and the foods (and the showers) and weather and wear and tear on the feet and waterproof boots.

As I'm watching this video, I felt I'm with them, feeling the blister of my feet, heat from the sun and sometimes soaked in the rain. I really appreciated how the pilgrims bonded with each other and sharing their personal stories. For years I have been traveling with pilgrims to Israel , Italy and my recent trip last May was in Portugal, Spain and France. Looking forward to continue my journey this year and years to come which is very exciting and at the same time educational .

Hey brother. I've been home from Santiago for almost a year. Well...most of me is home. My heart is still out there on the Camino. Often that keeps me awake at night. When it does I look for reminders of what life was like out there on the trail. There are bunches of memories to be found out here on the internet. But none better captured that wonderful place than this film. Watching it before bed is like a warm embrace from a long lost family member. Good job man! Thank you!

I walked the Camino last year with my brother and we did it in 33 days. I feel that was too fast and hard on me and it effected in that I was too tired to video or photograph this amazing trip(well, as much as I would have like). You showed the essence of the camino, with your video and photographs. Thank you for taking the time in doing this. We stayed in a lot of the same places you did, which was fun to see. Great job, your a gifted videographer.

Really enjoyed your story and video. Thank you for sharing. I'm 50 this year, living a great life, and wanting to mark the big birthday with something exceptional and solo. Camino might be the answer, at least part of it. I may do 300km from Leon. I've enjoyed 125km on the French trail St. Jacques starting at Le Puy en Velay and may just start up where I left off there and continue too. Must decide soon as I'd like to do it in September if I do it. Your video danced through my head overnight after I finished watching, helping me figure out what I should plan..... Thanks again and all the best to you.

Took me 37 days as well!!! Two rest days. I was soooo out of shape that I had to walk an average of 8-10 hrs EACH day to make it when most could do it in under 6 haha. I SHOULD have taken more than 37 days but I went with my much fitter sister. Each night she had to wait for me for three hours to catch up.
The first day from St. Jean to Roncesvalles took me a whopping 14 hours! But in the end, 37 days wound being the average!

Thank you so much for sharing your own Camino. First read about it when I was in highschool, from Paulo Coelho's The Pilgrimage. Will now be in my 30s and I feel the right time is just around the corner. Fingers crossed will do it on or before the next great Jacobean year and when renovations of the Cathedral are done. Love watching Camino videos! Buen Camino!

Jaime, thanks for sharing your camino with us. Your footage (among others) has helped me decide to listen to that that quiet voice inside me telling me to go every someone talks about the Camino. I am hoping to do my first Camino later this year. There is clearly something very deep at work in all of us who are drawn to this experience. Maybe once I go I'll have a better understanding of what that is. But for now it is just a deep, calm knowing. Thanks again for sharing your experience.
