Really enjoyed watching this video, i will definitely watch again but maybe with the sound off! I found it very interesting when you interviewed various people about why they were there, how they were enjoying the experience, what they had been doing that day etc. Unfortunately the awful soundtrack (don't worry, nearly every video of the camino has an awful soundtrack!) blocked out what everyone was saying. Hope to watch some of your other vlogs if you have any and i hope you do this one again someday - with better sound production...Buen Camino! 🙏😊

IF you have not yet walked El Camino de Santiago you would be well served and advised to NOT watch to many videos of other peoples Camino experiences. Logistics videos are good to watch...like what to pack, where to fly into, etc. But full experience videos should be watched only after you have completed your own journey and trust me, you will want to watch other peoples Caminos even more once you've conducted your own pilgrimage. A significant part of your experience will be not knowing what is coming next. I believe you will have a much more memorable journey when you allow El Camino to unfold as you go. So, for the sake of your personal pilgrimage, DO NOT ingest too many lengthy videos of other peoples excursions BEFORE you have your own. After you return from your Camino you will find you enjoy watching others on theirs even more. All of life is a mystery, embrace the mystery, while endeavoring to live in the flow of love. www.walkitoff.world -Anchor Chains, Plane Motors, and Train Whistles-

Life is NOT supposed to give you everything you want...if it did, you would never appreciate or embrace what you do have. I am learning "acceptance" especially when I don't get what I want. I am trying to learn to love myself more, and that some things are just not meant for me.

Did I hear someone say "bedbugs"? I have a bug phobia so that would be a concern for me. Its not something I want to carry with me along my journey. I know its not everywhere you go...so I would be very careful. It might sound petty to some, but that's a phobia of mine.

Watching this and remembering wonderful times on my Camino in 2021. I enjoyed this so much. If I may make a comment about the music, however. The idea of one note or a sort of humming, hooting note can be very distracting. I’m not bothered by silence sometimes. Just my opinion.

The British and the Anglo-Saxons in general are spoiling the way, they are people who focus everything on paying little and have always tried to get some advantage, it shows that they are a country of shopkeepers, as Napoleon said. They do not make the slightest effort to try to speak Spanish or to learn about our customs and some still dare to complain about our gastronomy, when on their island they only eat pureed peas, with these people the road is in danger of becoming another Benidorn , full of arrogant drunks, rude and violent. Their number should be limited.

6 years later and this popped up on my feed. I agree that it’s one (if not the) of the best Camino videos I’ve watched. What “got” me was your hiking style. You seem to move effortlessly with something between a glide and a stride while others were strenuously hiking. How many extra miles did you walk going back and forth for the camera? Nice drone shots. And I’ve been going crazy trying to place your accent. Seems to have a touch of British (“industrial estates” and “mum”) but didn’t quite seem Canadian. 🤔😊

Jamie, you did a great job talking about friends and the instant bonds you can make on the Camino. Oh so true. But dang, you spent way too much time inside the Albergues (mostly all the same) and you didn't spend any time at all on the most fabulous sites of the Way. (Seriously, you go to Santo Domingo de la Calzada, and you don't film the most famous rooster in the world?? LOL). Did you go to any Pilgrim masses and get a blessing? I did my Camino in 2016 and was so lucky I went alone - I got invited into lunches at farmhouses, into the belfries of Cathedrals, and met different wonderful people every day. In Rabanal where you got caught in the rainstorm, if you'd just turned around 180 degrees, about 3' behind you, you'd have seen the chalice and the altar where St Francis said Mass on HIS Camino. Right there! I'm glad for you that you did your Camino with the same folks, but I think your experience could have been more enhanced if you'd met different people to walk with, at least every week. And since none of the conversations you recorded could be heard, it would be awesome if you had subtitles. But thanks for taking me back into time!
