- In this first installment of Top Secret Audio: Declassified, Misha's Blackmachine B2 guitar is showcased.
The guitar is going to a Fractal AxeFX II direct to an audio interface with no post processing.

Misha actually has a pretty good "review" voice if you will.
Yeah, I didn't even recognize his voice at first because it was so "voiceover-y". Kind of like Michael C. Hall from Dexter. Not saying they sound the same but it's also weird that Michael C Hall did a lot of voiceover work before he became as famous as he now is. Although he did a ton of voiceover on Dexter, too.

Im really happy for Doug. Ive known him for over 20 years and he built me a Randy Rhodes V many years ago before he got famous and everything. his knowledge of guitars and his ability at playing borders on the utterly ridiculous!

I like how Misha sounds so super serious in this vid, it almost seems a little forced. But for some reason he does have a ''documentary'' voice
It's guitars like this that dreams are made of. Beautiful instrument Misha, the chambered body gives the cleans such a full bodied tone, which is also why I think the Aftermaths aren't as rude and harsh sounding as they normally would be in a full solid bodied guitar.
couldn't help but think of hattori hanzo when you were saying it was his finest work. Funny too cause it even looks like it's giving off that kind of vibe haha

It’s incredible how a well built guitar can make a tricky set of pickups sound beautiful. I don’t really like the aftermath because they are shrill and too harsh but here they sound unbelievable.

I’ve had my B2 for just over a year now and it has quickly become my “never sell” instrument.
I think a lot of people get really caught up in the “well the guitar doesn’t make the player” argument which I don’t necessarily disagree with per se. That being said, I do some of my best work when I’m comfortable on a guitar. If I dial something in, play, and constantly am adjusting settings, turning knobs, etc., I find it much harder to convey what I hear in my head because I’m just constantly fiddling and am distracted. That is the exact opposite experience that I’ve had with my B2. Very surprised you let yours go, but I’m sure you’ll get another at some point. 😉

Nice shirt... amazing game. As for the guitar, it's beautiful, but the overhype for Doug's guitars is astronomical. I'm sure they're great, but aside from rarity, there is nothing that makes them worth that kind of money. If he ever moves into higher production, the bottom will fall out on their value.
Guitar Whores well a handmade, British guitar with handwound British pickups in it alongside top of the range hardware and multiple exotic, incredibly high quality woods does demand a certain price bracket.

How much does a B2 run for and what does it equate to in kidneys and bodily fluids?
Don't about its original price but I've seen price from 7500 USD to 15,000 USD - used one!
Couple of weeks ago one man sold b2 at 9500 USD
a kidney goes for $4000 and sperm banks pay $50 per donation
i have no idea why i looked that up, my search history looks pretty weird now
As far as i know kidneys can go up to $250,000 and a B2 second hand, which is the best you'll get, is about $7.5k to $25k
+asish subedi yeah fuck that lol I'm sure he does nice work and all but i don't buy into the whole tone wood and all that shit. 40 year old wood? would be nice on a violin but on a electric guitar it doesn't mean shit.

3:06 - The guitar is made of All New Materials.
This one might have been used in "Have a Blast" because it seems super similar tone-wise to the one he used there.
Alao "All New Materials" at 3:06 , just slowed down like hell.
The B2 that was used on Have a Blast was the Burl topped one. You can see it in action during the Periphery II studio update video called "Periphery Hangin in the Studio with Good Buddy Elliot!"
Oh yeah, but damn why are they so tonally similar? What is that sorta factor that makes them sound uniquely alike?
By the way, what is the song at the beginning of that video though? I even asked there but I haven't gotten a reply haha

His favorite guitar has different Woodson the neck but ,his Jackson only has maple , I can't imagine it was to keep costs down since his Jackson's are really expensive, plus basswood is the cheaper of the woods for a build and his favorite guitar has and expensive looking top.
his signature guitars are made for touring so he has maple necks to keep them stable in different climates and temperatures
It still blows my mind that that guitar is somewhere in the realm of $10000 now
