Haile Sand Fort - Humber Estuary Forgotten In Time

Welcome to my video of Haile Sands, the Fort commenced work on the 22nd of May 1915 and was completed on the 31st March 1918, the total cost of construction was £109,953.
In this video I will show you around and tell you a little about the Fort, I have so much documentation that I couldn't fit it all into just one video but I'm going to give you a little taste.
The Forts role within the Humber Defence Scheme was primarily for the defence of the Southern channel of the river against Torpedo craft and similar light vessels, secondly to cover the Southern Examination Anchorage.
