Quick fix up of a Boston L pencil sharpener

- This thing was really cruddy. It came from an old body shop and was covered in overspray along body work dust. The tin was pretty banged up and the handle had a bad chip in it . I trimmed the handle down and chamfered the end. Itl be a nice little addition to a display I have :)

I was just talking the other day with someone about these and how I used to and Im sure not just me. Would take a pencil and sharpen the hell out of it all the way to the eraser and try to write all day with it, lol.

I have one of these mounted to the wall in my garage. One day we had company and there were two kids. They asked what it was. They had never seen one. All they know is electric pencil sharpeners. They were totally amazed when I showed them. Let's say we went threw a few pencils that day. 😆 Made me feel old though. 😆
Isnt that crazy! Im not surprised tho. My grandson has been coming over to hang out in the garage and theres a lot that hes never seen. Often I forget and Im like really then, I remember how much has changed and I'll explain what ever hes asked about. Yeah getting old, its like were dinosaurs sometimes, lol.

I had a hard time finding one. When I put my little display together and decided I needed an old pencil sharpener I figured Id find one anywhere. Ebay had plenty but I just couldnt bring myself to pay $20 plus ship. So I kept looking and found this guy eventually for free 🤗 Thanks for watching!

Thanks, I dont like the junk pencils either. Even as a kid I didnt like them. My grandmother had a pencil sharpener mounted in her sewing room. I always thought that was so cool, guess I thought pencil sharpeners were only for schools, lol.
