    Antiques Roadshow meets Survival Comms.
I love that self-feeding feature. Have never seen that before, very cool!
My only concern (he said facetiously) is how much RFI that produces when the teeth are in motion, like a spark-gap. If you can get in a screen-room and put a spectrum analyzer next to it, that would be interesting to see what it looks like. Haha

I think we are safe :) It is a cool sharpener and RFI free ! Thanks for watching !

I purchased that same pencil sharpener years ago for the exact same purpose....I also purchased lots and lots of pencils and paper. I also have the same model manual Underwood typewritter I learned to type on. Old school will rule!

Cool beans ! I get a lot of free pens and sadly once I get the chance to rotate them in they are dried up or intermittent. Pencils however have not let me down. The only type writer I currently have is my Model 15 RTTY machine. Thanks for watching !

@@survivalcomms Once we run out of printer ink it will be back to the basics. I used mine twice today. It is vintage, but works like new, super sharp pencils. Soon only us dinosaurs will be able to write.

@@survivalcomms I just get the ten pack of the cheapie Bic "Cristal" stick pens. They never seem to dry up. Have some I've had now for 15 years I haven't managed to misplace and they still write like new.

I have 2 of the Boston manual feed sharpeners. Mine have to be screwed to a wall or bench, but they work great!

It is a cool sharpener. We had a wall mount in my home growing up and I always missed having one of my own. That no longer is a problem :) Thanks for watching !

Mine, when you open it up say's to oil the holes on the back of the shafts so I just pull the pincher on the one side and then put a few drops of 3 in 1 oil into those shafts. Works flawlessly. I did get tired of holding it down, while simultaneously pinching and pulling and inserting a pencil though so I drilled out the little rivets holding the base on, enlarged the holes slightly and screw mounted it to my workbench.

We've got one very similar to that one hanging on the wall next to our dining table! Except ours is one of the usual Bero Chicago Apsco Sharpeners. Very cool that you have your name on your pencil. I had pencils with my name in elementary school because a couple of kids kept stealing them!
