I remember watching the trailer in 2016 and being devastated when I saw Warmachine being hit like that. I couldn’t see the film in theatres because of life reasons. But when I was away and thought about civil war I needed my sister to tell me if Warmachine survived(I didn’t care about spoilers when it comes to my favourite marvel character). I think before the film came out everyone thought Warmachine was gonna die, that moment where Tony said “Read vitals” and a heartbeat was detected was a relief(I didn’t believe my sister when she told me Warmachine survived).
News Flash: He shouldn't have survived. Hell, Stark shouldn't have survived every time he falls to earth in one of his suits. Falls should have killed him twice in the first Iron Man movie alone. No matter how hard and tough the armor gets, the squishy flesh and bone inside still gets destroyed from the extreme G-force deceleration from an impact like that. You would have an intact metal suit but the body inside would have 30+ broken bones including ribs and skull, and most internal organs including the brain damaged, with serious internal bleeding.
The funny thing is that this is mostly Vision's fault. He was so busy fingering Wanda that he failed to execute his mission and it nearly got War machine killed.

😂😂I love Vision for that. Everyone fighting for who thinks is right, Cap or Tony, but I agree with Vision... shame they made him so useless in the movies
Rhodey's incident was initiated by someone else who told Vision what to do. The tower falling I think was after the maximizing car which was on fire, which "wasn't part of the plan" . Its Scary and sad to see how Rhodey was replaced by the skrulls just few days ater this scene shows that The real Rhodey Had no idea that tony, vision and nat died, or about the blip. My man was captivated in new skurllos for 7 years. That's just really crazy.....
Imagine if rhodey were actually switched after civil war All he would remember would be him free falling to the ground, then all of a sudden he woke up abducted in a room full of people, then after that he found out that his best friend is already dead, hiw avengers allies aren't around, and it has been 10 years since his free fall (civil war took place in 2016, secret invasion is on 2026) Would give him a huge trauma and the same paranoia that led tony to develop ultron tbh Which would make a good premise for armor wars
@@Ordinary777 I mean it can be one possibility but it has a big plot hole. If Gravik was planning invasion since civil war, he would have gotten some amount of harvest before giving it to Fury. After Endgame is a big possibility but it could also be possible that Gravik collected Harvest but then it was taken to a secured location only Fury knew of. So, Civil War is also a viable possibility
what I don't see enough people talking about is the cinematography of this shot. The very end, when it looks like they're going to make it. Suddenly at last possible second, the ground comes into view.
Part of me thinks this is when Wanda started going bad. I mean she knows right from wrong. She took that bomb in the beginning and forced it way up in the sky and what happened so many innocent lives were taken of all the none safest ways to force a bomb somewhere and what gets she didn't even apologize or make an attempt to, damage control. All we got was her facial expression that looked like she probably cared but who's to say right. I think she played all of them, playing this innocent super power girl who knows what exactly she was doing.
I came back here just to check how hard was the fall of war machine. For me, no one could survive that fall. That's where the skrull came in to the scene when he was fighting for his life in a hospital.. And secret invasion starts..
He would've reverted back. It is almost like when Talos got shot and started turning back, I think the pain takes the focus away from the shape shift facade.
Also, if that is the case is the Skrull just acting paralyzed? Surely Tony would have found out in the 7 years he was trying to get Rhodeys legs to work.
Falcon diving to catch Rhodey aswell also shows that their fight has never been on a personal level. They still care for each other but only fight for the future of their group
Rhodes would not have held back. He has actually hand to hand training (not as good the Cap and Bucky but still better then Tony) and had the firepower to rip most of Team Cap to shreds
I love how even though no one died from the battle, there still was a casualty with Rhodey's accident and it wasn't even caused by Cap it was someone one Rhodey's side showing just how messed up the conflict became amongst them all.
I felt that vision got mad at rhodes for a second for hurting wanda, look at how his face expression changed when asking him to take down sam, but his real intention was to hit rhodes since this is the first time he felt anger. Even his aim was where rhodes should've been if sam wasnt in the way.

Just because Sam offered sympathy for something that’s not his fault doesn’t mean tony owes him anything. He showed sympathy cuz he’s a good person, but he should’ve read the room when Tony looks like he’s literally on the verge of breaking down. Sam was literally chasing tony and rhodey in the sky when they were chasing Steve, he did mean harm. But he didn’t want either of them to be permanently injured, but that’s what happened. You cant expect someone to act rational when they’re fucking panicking and scared out of their minds. That’s basic psychology. If u ever had a panic attack you’ll understand how it feels to lash out at someone for no reason. I personally love sam, but Tony’s actions in this scene was justifiable.

I'm surprised how he managed to survive that fall. Everyone in the theater thought he died
