    I teach ESL to Chinese students, and one of my student families gave me a huge container of dates because they're "good for pregnant ladies." I had never heard of that before, but I'm so thankful for their generosity, because I love dates and now I'm learning about their benefits. Honestly, learning about Chinese prenatal and postpartum medicine is really fascinating to me and it makes a lot of sense. It's also neat to see that some traditional methods are being upheld by modern research findings.

      Mmmm. Not sure if I agree with that. I have attempted to do the sitting month. This will be my third time and my major concerns are not moving enough, not getting as many veggies as I should, and the hestitancy towards shower/baths. Feel like cleaner would be better, so I always blow dry off after but my mother in law would prefer me to shower as little as possible during those 30 days.

    Im having my 5th child i never used any of the fancy products ! I ate healthy , am and was always active , always and ate dates and nut through out and during last week did labour speed up exercises! So to open up cervix ud have to be very active through out and to make it easier the last 2 weeks just exercise, drink , squats, birth ball do it all !

    • @rebeccacottrill0
      @rebeccacottrill0 2 месяца назад

      Not at all. All you need to do is 10-20 a day, focusing on your feet facing forward, your knees staying behind your feet, and your feet staying flat. This is very good stretching for the birth canal area.
      And if you ever need to bend down, squat down instead so you're stretching this area even more.

    I really believe in dates 🥹 As it is mentioned in Quran that God told Mary when she is in labour with Jesus to shake the palms and eat dates to ease her pain it always makes me teary when I read it 🥹 “And shake the trunk of this palm tree towards you, it will drop fresh, ripe dates upon you. So eat and drink, and put your heart at ease. But if you see any of the people, say, ‘I have vowed silence1 to the Most Compassionate, so I am not talking to anyone today.’” Surah Maryam 25-26.

      She birthed the Son of God, hashem, the One God in the flesh. To lay His earthly vessel down unto death, for the sin of the world. The apostles who walked with him for three years testify to WHO Jesus really was. The quran came hundreds of years later. Seek God for truth and He will reveal Himself to you.

    I’m of the strong opinion that a fast and easy labor truly comes down to genetics. 😅 I did ALL. THE. THINGS. With both my pregnancies. I’m talking dates, pineapple, EPO, walking, red raspberry leaf, curb walking, whole foods, Gentle Birth tincture, etc etc etc. Both my labors were 16.5 hours long. Pushed for 2.5 hours with both. 😂 I think short labors are just something your body does or doesn’t do, and everything you do to shorten them is pretty much just superfluous. Not that there is any harm in trying them, just saying. 😆

      So glad I read your comment because Im trying to get all prepare for my second but my first baby born in less than 5 minutes no medication, I didn’t even know I was on labor 🥺 until my husband told me to go to hospital. I’m afraid that happens again 🫨

    • @michellehancock10
      @michellehancock10 Месяц назад

      Genetics could possibly play a part, but I really think it can just depend on each pregnancy/baby 💛 they can all be different! My first two were very hard labors/births and my third was almost completely painless and much quicker and a breeze compared to the first two! It was such a blessing to experience since I didn’t know if I would ever have that.. I’m not saying anyone can control how their birth will play out or that it can happen for everyone, I do not think anyone can guarantee it, and everyone’s experiences should be validated definitely. But with my third I did all kinds of preparing but a lot of it was mental/spiritual and I really feel like that is what helped the most that time around. I just hope that can be encouraging that it can be possible even if you’ve had very hard labors! (My first was 25 hrs and 4 of those hrs was pushing, second around 15 hrs, third only about 4 hrs active labor and just a few minutes pushing! All unmedicated)

    • @mykaelaorwig9646
      @mykaelaorwig9646 Месяц назад

      @@michellehancock10 Yes, I think you’re correct there too! My first two pregnancies were incredibly hard, in fact I’d call my second pregnancy deeply traumatic. 😅 It took me two years to even be ready to CONSIDER trying again, because I was terrified of the pregnancy itself. But I’m 36 weeks along with my third now, and this pregnancy has been such a TOTAL breeze so far!! So I know there definitely can be huge fluctuations with how each one is experienced. Hoping for an easier birth this time too, but we’ll see! 😆

    • @Tresdrole123
      @Tresdrole123 8 месяцев назад +10

      Women all around the world have been drinking coffee during their pregnancies for centuries. The World Health Organization (WHO) recommends that pregnant women limit their caffeine intake to 300 milligrams per day. This is equivalent to about 2 to 3 cups of coffee per day, depending on the strength of the coffee. But everyone is different so talk to your doctor.

    • @WholeFamilyCrunch
      @WholeFamilyCrunch 7 месяцев назад

      Coffee and other forms of caffeine, especially when the mom’s adrenals are drained, actually pull from the baby’s adrenal stores. This can lead to life long issues. If you’re tired, rest in the way you can. Take an adrenal complex that is safe for pregnancy, take beef liver in whatever form you can handle or take methylated B vitamins- all of these are healthy forms of energy that won’t have a negative impact on your baby’s health. You do you, but just because it’s been done before doesn’t always mean you should keep doing it, do your research and listen to your body ❤
