I'm 57 years old but hearing u talk about protecting ur bed reminded me of my 2nd baby's birth who's father is a OCD clean freek...He layered our mattress 1st in a waterproof cover with a sheet over that,,,then TRASH BAGS I kid u not over that sheet with yet another sheet over that and a 2nd waterproof cover over that, it might of been a lil loud but man did I sleep good with all those layers, I wore depends diapers to bed every night from the 7th month on and lucky I still HAD to have my water broke at the hospital, but i'm glad my Husband thought ahead cause I soaked 9 washable hospital pads and at one point it was running onto the floor.
Girl, when you said towels and how you don’t realize how many you go through I totally related with that. It’s funny how minimal you can be when it’s just you and hubby, but now (almost 5 babes later) I fold our 20 towels, turn around, and they’ve disappeared into everyone’s rooms 🤦🏻♀️ it doesn’t get any better after the newborn phase 😂
My birth center is closing at the end of this month and so we are now unexpectedly planning for a home birth and I’m due in August 😬 thanks for the info
I'm preparing for my first (home) birth and it's so nice to see your list ..we got a different list from our midwife because we live in the Netherlands so a lot of stuff is provided in a box of supplies from health insurance, but it's nice to get some ideas from you and your experience. Thank you for sharing!
I'm having my 5th home birth in February. I've always done water birth, but I fix up the bed just in case I end up birthing there, or in case me or the baby leaks onto the bed, and I have always put plastic on it. We don't put it on until I'm in labor, but I still end up sleeping on it for a night or two, and it's soooo uncomfortable! I'm really thinking about getting one or two waterproof mattress covers instead this time around.

Ahhhh haha I love your perspective!! It’s a whole new world with kids! 😂
Also, that’s great that they disappear into rooms. Sounds like your kids know what to do when laundry comes out! 😉 💯
Love the bedsheet tip! Also the tip about getting the reusable puppy pads. Thanks for the video :)
You’re welcome! Congratulations!! 🤰
Thank you for this! I’m due with my second baby in May but it will be my first home birth ❤
I'm due with my 5th very soon but this is my first home birth! Your video was very helpful, thank you!!
Oh congratulations ❤️ so exciting! Good for you!! 💕
I'm the same! 5th baby, first home birth 🎉🎉🎉
Added note, the washable pads are awesome and you’ll use them forever… I use them for kids who pee the bed, kids who are sick etc.
Yes!!!

Puppy pads have a lot more toxins and chemicals that you don’t want on you so if you can, get chux pads for people
@@spirituallymommy2646 yes, the ones I show in this video are not puppy pads they are meant for humans :)
@ oh no, I know 🙂. I meant for others watching and learning 💚.
