I started out learning this with only 2 mallets but eventually added a 3rd. I like the way the bass mallet accentuates the lower register and helps to mimic the open string sound of the cello. I also took some liberties in order to adapt the piece to the 4.3 octave marimba. Видеоклипы
If Bach had had a marimba, he would certainly have composed suites for marimba. 😉Bravo, thank you for sharing! 👏
He did have a marimba.
It’s called a piano.
@@augustsmith9553No, it’s not. A marimba is a marimba, and a piano is a piano. It’s almost an entirely different skill set playing marimba vs piano. It’s like saying I have a violin so I can write electric guitar music.
?@@allforone5693 👍😂 Very good.
Bach was a very busy man in his time. His musical IQ exceeded that of more than a thousand men combined, surpassing Mozart, Beethoven, and Chopin, as well as Bartok, Debussy, and Shostakovich.
Sadly, their music and the music of all the great composers will be wiped out if there is a World War III.
Even Anton Dvorak's music
Absolutely wonderful.
Thank you!
Bravo!!!!
Excellent !!!
Thank you!
I agree! Thank you!
Hey Mike!! Beautiful playing, hope you’re well!
Thanks, Anthony! That's very much appreciated.
Ivr Mogings, Moonbug, Lamis Conner - Prelude.
it´s a nice interpretation.
I´m trying to go from 2 mallets to 3 and 4.
I´s possible to get this sheet music?
Thank you
Thank you! I just used the original Bach sheet music that can be downloaded through ISMLP or a google image search. I tried 2,3, and 4 mallets but ultimately settled on 3 because it gave me the ease of only holding 1 mallet with the right hand combined with the texture of adding the bass mallet to the left hand.
@@DettraMentalMusic Thank you for your answer. I'll try that way
Always a pleasure to listen to someone who understands how to time a Bach composition, unlike a famous cellist I can think of.
Thank you! Much obliged!
Which cellist?
@@chrisoconnor9521 Well, it isn't Rostropovich. He was extremely good. Also he is no longer alive.

Why do I like this better than piano
Cello
@@Treblemaker888, the cello, like the violin, is one of the hardest instruments to play. You have to memorize where the pitches are
