Credit to John Lodge... This is certainly is a beautiful song... See they all had their own magic that added so much to Moodies music... Even Graeme Edge had his poetic license... We never gave them enough credit here in the UK 🇬🇧 apart from putting their albums higher in the charts than USA... but then the Americans did take 50 years to put them in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame... What acclaim have we given them?!! 🤔
I have to agree 👍 Too bad Patrick Moraz turned into such a Pratt. He added a special dimension to the band with his keyboards. They should have brought back Mike Pinder.
I have had all of the Moody Blues music since I was in High school. I am 59 now. I love the deep feeling harmony in their music that sends me into dream land. To hear their beautiful sound makes me feel spiritual. I cannot get enough of it. Wish they were still playing. I have over 20 of their cd albums which include Hayward plus I burned some individual songs like Forever Autumn. My most favorite band. They just don't make music like this anymore and I am glad I am part of a generation that had the experience of this most wonderful sound.
Thank you for the stunning and appropriate imagery and graphic melange. Yes, the Venus and Mars thing has cut the hearts of those who intensely tried to make the greatest harmony. The scars will be with us unto the grave. I especially love the pic of the deflated guy in the chair. Hilarious and sad and something I believe only the males truly feel. And to Mr. Moraz a truly magnificent ending to such a great overall composition.
What I love about this song is that it is 7 minutes 20 seconds long; almost enough time to really appreciate the intricacies of the lyrics and the sounds of the instruments and vocals.
They are the poets of pop music. Amazing group. Amazing song. Amazing music. They finally seemed to get recognised in the 80s by the press with their 1986 album.
Was born in Mexico a long time ago, I remember listening to this Great band from England. Never knew what they were singing about but I liked their music nevertheless. I like going through the Old Times favorites and I heard this Great song. Thanks for the good memories ED. I ended up seeing them in Phoenix, AZ., great guys too!
I spoke with Justin at a Moodies concert -such a regukar guy --super smile and seemed to be just a regular bloke as the English say-- definitely someone to take home and meet the folks-- regulars guys --that makes them special--forever and always
Moody Blues - "Talking Out Of Turn" is incredibly good. I'm so glad I stumbled upon it again. No more stumbling - saved it to my favourites on You Tube. Cheers Robin Topping
Perfeita!
Can you imagine just walking around and all this greatness is inside them -- wow super special-- pay attention next time you are at live concerts --vibes -- big -- huge-- almost feel the enthusiasim before one note is played-- at leasr that is what it is like for me
I grew up listening to my dad playing this. I like it even more as an adult but know sometimes you have to let things you love go if they're mean't to be they'll find their way back to you rectifying things xxx
I never saw this Video. Love Moody Blues. Most times the record company or what have you, make a Video that has nothing to do with the Lyrics nor Music whatsoever. Lyrics and Music go together so should the said Video. Had the chills the whole time. What talent who made this Video for this Song.
No matter how many times I hear The Moody Blues I am always taken back to that time when the song was parallel to my situation. Seeing them in concert is AWESOME(3x).
They were then --they are now---what are the chances tgey will always be ---they have my "yes"--love my moody blues----waiting for their next adventure is like waiting for your gifts at Christmas Time --saying it doesn't get better than this ---and guess what--- it does!!! Oh my moodies--they never let me down !!! The best ever---
Pulled out an old cassette mix tape that had this song on it...... Can honestly say I completely forgot about this little gem.... Harmony and melody will always rule for me.....
I had a similar rediscovery experience ...only different. I've listened to it a dozen times in the last few weeks. It gives me the feel of the times back then again too which is pleasant.
yes , they accomplished what very few musicians have...remained vital and fresh in a world that eats musicians up and spits them out...i love these guys !!!
Year 1981 - I remember as if it were today, in these years to come two more songs from my life songs were released: Forever C. Cross Alessi Bros. and Drive The Cars. From Düsseldorf.
Certainly a strong case there. Been listening to their early work for years. Recently discovered this- was blow away. This track in particular is truly unbelievable.
both my dad and I loved this- one of our faves of the moodies- I was 11 and he was49 then.nice weekends playing chess and cooking sunday lunches listening to the album on vinyl in the sitting room.
I saw the The Moody Blues At /red Rocks in the mid 80s and it was one of the most magical evenings of my life. This song brought it all back, soo beautiful.
This song popped into my head recently for the first time in years. Thought I'd listen to it on youtube. I lucked out and chose a great presentation of it here. Thank you, ED... very very nice.

Moody Blues and Supertramp are my favourite bands, and neither are in the Hall of Fame. They are above that.
I agree with all! One of my favorites, I'm 62, brings me back all right!
Do not crucify me for saying it, but it was the incredible string backing that made this one of very the best tracks of all time....
You ain't said nothing but the TRUTH.
Your life is youes my life is mine -e at it
For me the melody 🎶 is what makes it so good. The music helps though of course.
This is simply one of the best songs ever...
yes
greets from germany
I have to agree 👍 Too bad Patrick Moraz turned into such a Pratt. He added a special dimension to the band with his keyboards. They should have brought back Mike Pinder.

Jesus appointed musicians to go out and preach and the moody blues are descendants from that ilk.

Robert Therob, my sentiments exactly!
