  • We’re rock hounding at the beach at whitefish point in Michigan upper peninsula. We are finding all sorts of beautiful rocks and minerals that have been worn smooth from the waves and sand. We are finding epidote, Unakite, feldspar, quartz, agate, magnetite, rhyolite, and many more. The waves can be heavy here, so there aren’t many fossils to be found. But you can see through the water like a glass showcase and the many different colors below. A perfect place to look for rocks and minerals in northern Michigan.
