At 9:27 mark of this video that is a rock that has green spots and an opening that looks green inside. What kind of rock is that? I have a similar one I found up near Copper Harbor about 20 years ago
I live in Alabama... im making a trip to upper peninsula ( lake Superior) at the end of October. Could you recommend where i should look for agate and other stones. Rock hounding is a hobby of mine and i told my wife that 1 whole day is devoted to rocking. Lol... She didn't like that too much.... But she agreed.
So I’m that guy who opens these videos, and then hits that like button before it even loads because I know it’ll be great🤣🤣🤣
Same! 👍🏼💯
Haha😂
Haha thanks so much!
Yep! Same
Yep. Same!
Agate Dad, it was AWESOME meeting you & showing you my best agates. Next time we meet up we will find some more good ones! Thanks for the shoutout man !👏
So happy to have met you too bud, we will definitely be going on some more adventures! You just gotta get back up here! And happy to do so!
Are you interested in doing flat rate box trades with a west coatser ? strahlterry at the gmail
Sometimes it is really hard to bring myself to tumble some of my finds because it has so much beauty on its own. I LOVE the amethyst agate!!
Bill had a fantastic group of agates! Wasn't fun getting soaked from rain, but you could definitely see all the beautiful colors of rocks on the shore. Going over to Bill's channel. I love how he's so excited when he talks about his finds, just like you Taylor!
He sure does! As we all should! Definitely a good guy so glad you've checked it out!
Shoreline was spectacular! Thanks enjoyed watching!
Pretty rocks, so much color on the beach I thought they were leaves at first! Nice video!
There was some leaves lol but mostly rocks!
Hello hello my idol! I really love to watch and follow your videos😄😄😄
I've found so many of my best agates and jaspers after almost passing them over. I always flip rocks now because sometimes the most glorious material is just out of sight underneath or buried in the sand. I found an AMAZING blue agate (I love in the Mojave) but almost passed it over because I thought it was some glass or plastic because I was down by the shooting range and figured it was just more shattered target material.
Moral of the story: don't pass it up. Sure, it's probably nothing but then again, it could be the topest of tiers.
I was at a pumpkin patch and the gravel for the driveway was rocks from Willamette river in the rocks were agets I found a huge agate the size of my hand almost
I love this channel and I've only seen a few videos so far. Just 2 guys getting so pumped over picking up lil rocks. I love it! This is the small happiness we all need.
The rain sure makes the colors pop!
I love this energy. If you guys ever come out to Idaho or Oregon, let me know! I’d love to join you!
🤘🤘
Look at all the colours of those pebbles!! I wish I could go somewhere to see pebbles of those colours!
The mix of colors of the rocks alone are beautiful enough to take a bucket full and put them in an aquarium! 😄🤗💗🕊️🌷
Loved all the agates they where amazing. Bills agates, wow. I've been picking up agates all my life. My grandfather had beach front property. He would teas my siblings and I and say there's an agate, and it would be a piece of beach glass. We'd laugh😂 at him, and go look for more of our little beach gems.
Love it!
I live near lake Michigan and I go rock hunting all the time, and I found a geode that had some amethyst cause of its purple color! It was awesome!
Thats really cool!
Hi again TAYLOR
What a great looking beach for the hunt. Some rock size which is always fun. Hope you can go back to this spot again sometime. Always fun to see other people's finds and get their stories too. Thx as always for sharing...
All I agree with! Thanks for coming along!
A rock-hounding buddy! That's great. You had some nice finds today. Thanks for sharing!
Great video. Great finds. Great friends. Can't get any better than that.✌&❤
I completely agree!
Lake superior Rocks my dear Friends. Wow Fron Brasil...
👍you found some nice gems. . .and had a lot of fun, that's always good. Stay safe and healthy for the future...good luck to you both 🙏🍀🖐
Who knew that rocks would be so interesting. Am an avid semi precious stones collector plus I collect white or black rocks from every place I visit. Weird personified lol
What a beautiful beach full of colorful rocks, so amazing looking. Awesome finds, so cool. You truly are the agate dad!
Haha thanks man!
Looks so colorful, rainbow rocks.
I like how you just casually say just some random stuff really loved the green crystal
I'm glad!
The one you ask about at 4:05 looks like potassium feldspar that has been broken apart, and the spaces between filled with quartz
Interesting!!
Awesome video, I didn’t think I would like rock hounding with anyone else but found out, like you did, it is very enjoyable. 😊
It truly is! Both ways is great 👍 👌
@@AgateDad yes it is. Solo is more therapeutic but with someone is more fun. So win win either way 😊
The colors of the rocks in your opening shot are incredible
Right??
Looks really cold! Not my idea of fun but a few pretty agates could change my mind! Someday i hope to get up that way... maybe during some July. Lol. Thanks for taking us along with you!
Haha funs a funny word when it comes to rockhounding! The crazy things you'll do just for a chance at these beauties!
Beautiful rock's would love to be there !!!
It's always nice to have a buddy to go with you on adventures!! So awesome beautiful finds as always 😎👍
Oh for sure!
These types of videos make me so calm and happy😁
Im glad!
"Wow, what an exciting rockhounding adventure! The North Shore of Lake Superior truly is a treasure trove for rock collectors, and it's amazing to see the variety and beauty of the rocks you found. The amethyst agate is particularly stunning, and I can only imagine the thrill of discovering such a rare and valuable gemstone. Thank you for sharing your experience and insights into the world of rockhounding, and for reminding us of the incredible natural wonders that can be found in our own backyard
We just came back from the UP in Michigan. We found some very cool pieces. I need to buy a tumbler now.
Nice video. I loved the “all natural spray bottle effect” you had on the rock beds you were hunting. Aka rain ☔️😃 Glad you found a rockhounding buddy to join up with.
Haha such a good and efficient spray bottle
I just started agate hunting in sand pits of the southeastern metro area a week ago or so! I think you would be really impressed with some of the agate I’ve found!
Bill the blue galaxy, so awesome! !
Wow beautiful stones!!! Thank you for sharing! (The last stone was my favorite, love the ♡!)
very many stones and nice colors and motifs. I am also a lover and collector of small stones.
You guys looked like you needed those hand warmers in your pockets. Can’t imagine how cold your hands got on this hunt!🥶🥶
Oh that would have been divine!
Beautiful location with a TON of beautiful rocks. Awesome video brotha. 👍🤙🔥🔥
Thanks my man! It was a fun location!
You two look like brothers... or twins....cool rocks. .love your content..❤😊. .!!!
I subscribed to Bills channel! I'm looking forward to watching all the videos from both of you! Thank you for sharing!
When I go rock hounding I love the rain. Less rock licking... LMAO
This is true!!
No spray bottle or rock licking required!
haha only a true hound understands why we lick rocks
My kids have been getting into rock hounding much more now they're in their teens. My son like to carve faces into agates and my daughter is venturing into Jewlery. It's exciting to me when my kids get excited about a day outing.
That's an awesome beach.
WE don't have agates here in Ferndale/Bellingham WA but It's still fun to see what Lake Superior has to offer.
Cheers,
Rik Spector
Lake Superior has a lot of amazing treasures!
The rocks you find out there, im like woah. Maybe I need to relocate.
Do it! MN rocks 😏
I love to hear you say, that's pretty. I am also a rock hound. Thanks for posting. I am always working.Only time to watch. Thanks agin.
All nice…worth drooling over…the cut the cut makes the treasure koodos
Congrats to both of you on your finds, but the size of that agate, WOW!
I had no idea you did this! So cool. My grandpa Hansen loved to do this. He made me a couple rings out of it. Great memories with him doing this. You should come to Montana and look for some.
Oh yeah, big fan lol might have to someday!
Good finds, fun time, cannot beat it. Keep the vids coming...
Will do 👍 thanks!!
My next stop is MN! I just returned from Grand Marais, MI ♥️ Found some amazing specimens on this hunt !
Amazing im in Michigan by bay city new to all this. Have sone amazing stuff my grandfather handed down to me.
That’s great, treasure those treasures!
Even the none precious 'pebbles' look lovely.... p.s are all the guys as cute as you two in that part of the world😄.. great share new fan from UK 😚😚😎
Haha I'm not the best judge of that so you might need to ask someone else 😅
@@AgateDad 😄😄😄😚😚😚😎
@@AgateDad we got a pretty good compliment!
Haha it was very nice!
Wow! It looks like you both hit the jackpot! Some really cool rocks!
Crazy looking beach!
Love the North shore!
My birthstone. A very beautiful gemstone with awesome properties! 🤓
Wow! That’s the most amazing mixed till I have ever seen! Here in the pacific cordillera, it’s a lot of quartzite.
Interesting!
Hi Agate Dad. So many stones like that here in Philippines, it's good to have a collection too. Maybe someday when you visit Philippines nice to meet you with your family 😊.
Those are beautiful agates! I would love to hunt these on my next vacation!
All nice…worth drooling over…the cut the cut makes the tresure
All of the stones were great. Good score.
So 4:30 am hot coffee and agate Dad and a quiet house. Life's luxury!
I'm just making a pot now! I'll be putting on star wars though haha
Hey AD I was gonna ask do you ever go Rockhounding with a buddy seeing as rockhounders are a solitary bunch. On a more serious note it dawned on me from your question answer video that you said you fix medical equipment. That makes you a essential worker of the highest degree. Thanks bro for what you do and putting yourself in harms way. Be careful out there and stay safe.
Oh thanks! Its been a pretty hectic year but my job has stayed pretty much the same, fix all the equipment lol
These are my favorite videos. I love watching you find agates. I remember that one video when you were somewhere looking for agates and you found a rock that you weren't sure was an agate and you wanted to wet it but forgot your water bottle... so you licked it. Haha🤣omg I was cracking up. And now you have stickers saying you lick rocks. Lmao! Another funny thing about your rock licking video is in the comments someone wrote, "Lick that rock boy!" Lol.... 😂😂😂😂I'm dying!!!!
Love your show I'd like to show you some of my incredible finds.👍
Feel free to shoot me an email or message on instagram/Facebook
Good job guys love the cristal finding 🙏🎎🧘
OMG I would go nuts on that beach. Like that squirrel from Ice Age. 😂
Exactly!
Forgive me if I've missed the point but as soon as I saw Bill in your car, I thought he looks like he could be your brother. Some cool finds!
Rock brothers haha
@@AgateDad The Banded (of) brothers. I'll check out his channel. Thanks.
Appreciate you doing that!
That last agate was beautiful and so juicy. I wish I could find agates like that in Kings River.
Excellent. .so happy to see people getting out and discovering what the Good Lord gave us. Thank you!!
Amen to that 🙌
Pretty sweet finds
Love the one with little heart shaped hole... cute
THE RAIN AND THE GOOD AIR MAKES YOU TWO'S COMPLECTION JUST GLOWS. HOT.
Great video as always! The rock at 3:40 is something I find in the Eastern UP of Michigan. I call them pseudomorph agates.
Interesting!
I was very good guys I enjoyed ✝️✡️💖🔭🐻🐯🐼🌈🐟
When it’s raining finding most beautiful rocks is much easier , but it was pretty wild there and you braved it anyway so thank you 💐
I love those porphyry rocks very much ! I wonder if they’d tumble well though ?! 🥰
We will have to try it someday!
スペリオル湖……メノウ拾いにとってはあこがれの地の一つですね
I'm your certified fan here from Philippines from start and til now 😍😍😍
Hello
I'm Kimpd from Korea.
I'm here to see some fancy jewelry.
You're looking for so many pretty gems.
Congratulations!.
It's small, but fantastic.
I pick up stones in Korea.
You have never taken care of Korea, have you?
Come to see the wonderful stone in Korea.
Good luck
Heading to the UP Jan 11. Would be amazing to rock hunt with you and learn. I love your channel. Bought my grandkids rock tumblers for Christmas. I'm learning. Found amazing rocks at white fish point.could I send photos to see if you know what they are?
Goodmorning Taylor .I'll make sure to check out Bills channel.
Thanks!
Thank u!!
@@BEXIVLOGS I've decided that I like your channel so much that I've subscribed just so I don't miss out on anything.
🤘🤘
All those rocks are really beautiful
I agree!
I always wanted to ask if you ever go hunting in the rain!!! Usually when you're on a gravel road with that squirt bottle!😂😂😂
Haha yeah ill go if its raining but luckily timing is on my side 👍
A rainy beach is the best ☺️
Yes!!
I can’t wait to move to Minnesota! I am going straight to Lake Superior! 😂💯🤷🏼♀️
Good call on both!
Hi Taylor, now if I told you I just watched a video of two guys sitting in a car looking at their rocks what would you think of me ? 😂😂😂😂😂
Sorry Taylor the thought just amused me. Haha. For an ordinary day not a bad little group of rocks to come across, that one with the band of amethyst looks very cool, nice find along with a couple of those other pieces, a good session. Good to see you have a like minded friend to go out hounding with. Sometimes it's good just to have someone to chat with while your walking the creek or shoreline especially when things are a bit slow.
Keep Safe & Keep Rockin
Yeah kind of a different style of video but the adventure was amazing!!
It's all about having fun!
Beautiful
I'm from Grand Marais and I Lovveee these videos
Ya know you guys look like you are going through one of my jars sitting in the car there. Fun!!!
I would love to see what's in your jar!
@@AgateDad that's jars with an s. Lol. Plus I have them in barristers holding specimens of other stuff and the big agates. Gotta say the coolest piece I have is a natural hematite the size of a head that has a boitroidal surface on one side almost as if it was cracked out of a giant sphere. My father brought it up from the mines on the Cuyuna range when he was working underground and it sat in the yard when I was a kid.
Sounds amazing!
@@AgateDad it is! I love the native stones of MN. They fascinate me like no others. Have you ever seen Binghamite? Its the unique stone of the Cuyuna Range. So many unique stones in this state. It could make a rock hound out of anyone I think.
Its a dream to find some, i wish I knew of a spot to find it!
One nice thing about the rain..all the color. 💎 The large gray host rock with the green areas, what is the green mineral? Curious.
Excelentes piezas hermosas agatas
There is the coolest rocks up there!
Oh absolutely!
I live in Northern Michigan, I love rock hunting here! I've never found an agate though I need to try the UP or by the lakes
Try Presque isle Park if you're in the area. There's a lotta great agates there. You can sit down and find ten of them in just a couple minutes. I've found some of my best and absolute favorites there.
I just came inside from agate hunting in a field and I find a pretty big one with beautiful banding!
Thats awesome!
Wow!! Looks really cold! Good luck!
What a unique assortment you got today! The Porphyry's are very cool! Do they polish up? Or just oil them for their best show? Thanks for sharing!
I'm hoping to do a polishing of some soon :)
Прекрасный "улов"!👍 Красота 😍!!!
Man, you guys had some awesome finds for uniqueness!
For sure!
Lake Superior agate hunting would have to be very high on my bucket list!! When people say "North Shore" Lake Superior, is it the town of Nirth Shore or find A North Shore of the lake? I'll never get there at this stage of my life, but it sure would be awesome!! So many colorful beauties!! Great video!
Well, whaddya know: Agate Dad has given me a legit reason to visit Michigan someday. Preferably during the dry season. Hey...Michigan has a dry season, doesn’t it?
Not sure about Michigan's weather, I've never been there but Minnesota has a dry season 😁
@@AgateDad
Whups...my bad! Hey, geology is my jam, not geography. I feel i’ve made THAT painfully obvious.
Hahah geography is not one of my strong points either!! So no worries!
Great agate Bill has. You guys found some awesome rocks. Love the porphyry! Can't wait until my mom and I get to go to Lake Superior next summer. Where do you get the yellow rock tool you used at the creek video? I have the rocks I won from you deplayed in my living room. Many of my friends ask me about them. Thanks Taylor!
I got the tiller at fleet farm, so honored!!!
