Wow, never saw this one before. What a STUNNER. That matt blue dial with a white chapter ring! That massive sub-dial accented with a gorgeous red second hand! It's as if a vintage sportscar's rev counter became a gentleman's dress watch. Patek is so good at these pieces that straddle the line between sporty and dressy.
Well, the watch does not show the year. But American for stating a date is Day-Month-Date-Year (or Day-Month- Date), as in "Wednesday, August 14, 2024." This watch displays Day-Date-Month, apparently for reasons of symmetry.

Tim, I dont understand why you call this date "American" style - American style is month, date, year. Rest of the world uses date, month, year.
You’re right, but Tim has mentioned before that for some reason that’s what they call it in Switzerland.
