Even with the temptation of having access to the Watchbox inventory you seem to strike a great balance with covering entry-level, midrange and high-end pieces. All-encompassing horology. ;-)
Honestly for me, many of the high end watch like this Patek feel like an art piece, rather than a timekeeping tool. I am comparing a watch to an art piece because I'd be afraid to wear a watch with complicated movement that only master craftsman can repair. But that's just my opinion and Patek pieces deserve to be respected obviously
I love The Urban Gentry! I shared a link on my Channel to your great episode on the History of Grand Seiko. There's no way I could top what you did! Thanks for everything you do TGV, I'm a huge fan!!!
As you know I'm not usually a fan of chronographs (with some notable exceptions), however this has now been added to the exception list. It's stunning. Love it's art-deco style. Very useful complications (Inc a nice discreet power reserve). I totally understand and appreciate why it's not been pushed up as one of your grails, however it's definitely now one of mine! Amazing watch, awesome video 👌👍
Now waiting for the automatic Timex aviation watch. Love how you take turn reviewing high end watches and affordable watches, and watches in between, respecting watches in every level.
I find the new Patek 5212A pretty stunning. I also have a gut feeling it could become a huge future classic. Maybe not on a par with the Nautilus, but still a solid little investment, IMO. My AD let me see the first one that they had delivered from Switzerland while it was waiting collection by another customer. Mind-blowing! So much better than online pictures or videos can convey! I actually got on the interest list pretty darned early, some months back. But it still looks like they are going to make me wait about 6 months for mine.☹️ (However I asked another AD and they were talking about a waiting time of 3 YEARS, so maybe I shouldn‘t complain too much...)
I for one am looking forward to more of these "mini reviews" because even though this is mini by comparison to some of your other videos, TGV, this still manages to get across all the information you note and it's a clear and concise presentation. Cheers!
Great, another watch we could only dream of owning. Only to admire it. Patek Phillipe has a long long history and I have a lot of respect for the brand.
Love this watch series you are doing. Completely agree that these watches need to step up the water resitance. Looking forward to the next video. Keep up the good work.
😂😂😂 I didn't mean to call your name out so loud on the street like that in PA but it came out. It was a nice running into you and thanks for saying hi back. I know it was freaking freazing on Saturday. Love the channel
Excellent review of a sensational Patek watch. I also have smaller writs. As a result, I wear my wristwatches behind my wrist bone, which is generally recommended. I noticed you wore it forward of your wrist bone. What are your thoughts about how to wear a wristwatch? Thank you in advance for your reply.
Is that the Lucerne Festival Orchestra playing in the background? I recognise some of the players from my Mahler blu ray collection by Abbado-Lucerne FO; as I'm sure you'll agree, Mahler's 2nd and 3rd symphonies are the kipper's knickers!
Good evening TGV, the Reverso suits you so Well. You should get you one 😉 The Patek Looks nice as well. Not too busy dial for all those functions. Looks sporty and stylish. Have a great Saturday!
Right now my Grail watch would have to be the Seiko Arnie. Love it's design and who wouldn't want a watch with cinematic history. Also the fact that I am a HUGE fan of Arnie helps.
Seiko made a similar layout with their 7016 series chronograph with the subdials stacked at the 6 o’clock position! It even featured a vertical clutch and columns wheel and fly-back! That’s where the similarities end however haha in finishing and prestige it’s a wash for the Patek
Hi Tgv , I'm curious what JLC your family has owned or own ,what models, can you tell us more about it , really would like to see video on that matter.cheers
That day, date, month display at the top makes sense ... I don't understand why more watch makers don't use that layout ... some watches are not easy to interpret
Intro was bang on as usual TGV. Love this particular reference, but I do wish its proportions were a bit more "standard" shall we say. Regardless, a lovely piece indeed.
Great review as usual TGV! I'd like to see from you an in-depth review of Omega Aquaterra. It is for sure nothing so high end like a Patek, but it's a great every day watch in my opinion. I particularly like the reference 220.10.41.21.02.001 with the orange second hand. Another brand that you could review is Hanhart with their incredible chronographs. Thanks!
I recently got a blue face Calatrva Pilot travel time. The texture, and colour of the face on the Patek Pilot is gorgeous. It is hard to get it to show on photos.
I would like a review of Raymond Weil’s ‘in house ‘movement based watch.. considering one.. I’ve had a rw1212 based movement 2 years with no issues.. thanks
Great review as usual. In my opinion this has got to be the best execution of a day, date and month window on a watch. I really like the semitrical design 👍. Would love to see a review of the Blancpain Villeret quantieme complet. Looking forward to the next one. Regards, Koen
Of the Holy Trinity of watches, Vacheron Constantin is my favorite. Patek is superb, of course. And you sir, are a video guru of unparalleled compromise.
I‘m wondering why we almost never see Vacheron Constantin watches? They‘re part of the holy trinity of watches, but I almost never see a watch of them on all my watch channels. TGV, do you know why and do you think A. Lange & Söhne would be a better fit next to AP and PP in this trio of watchmakers? Greetings!
Haha, so prophetic of you! Stay tuned. As for Lange, well my last review summed them up, enjoy. You will like the next GIAJ video ;-) Thank you, Best regards, TGV
It's a looker ,but personally I think the pushers are to big almost an afterthought, maybe domed and closer to the body ,would in my view soften up the look , but there's no denying it's beautifully made , and a true grail watch , good review ole son , as we've come to expect . The Reverso, will I'm sure make a great review ,as well . JLC pioneering giants .🇬🇧
I’m only a recent subscriber, today actually and really enjoy your content! I love the Seiko SARB033 and SNKL23. Do you recommend a place to buy them? I live in the Republic of Ireland. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Beautiful watch that I think is well worth it's price. Going over to watchbox.com and spending some time looking more closely at it, I wish I could see more of the art deco influence in the dial design. I'm sure it's just me, but the font just doesn't evoke the 30's feel, which like you I adore. Can't believe the time you invest in the production values (graphics, animation, music) but I want you to know how much I value the effort.
I don't feel you can top Gauthier. What an amazing watch. I find your series of potential grail watches and horology very enjoyable and look forward to it. Produce away TGV! Look at more Lange and FPJ please. O/U good Sir. 🥃🥃🥃
Even with the temptation of having access to the Watchbox inventory you seem to strike a great balance with covering entry-level, midrange and high-end pieces. All-encompassing horology. ;-)
Padeks are for deranged psychiatric patients.

Wow.... its clear the Watch Box support has made a significant difference to your overall production values and cinematography. Lovely review.
7:25 “Patek needs no introduction“
*introduces Patek* Classic 💪😄
I would love to see that JLC reverso review
A stunning watch, people can drool over a lange all they want, I'll take this.
Our man here looks younger and refreshed, I guess that's what happens when you are doing what you love, props to you TGV much love
Looks so clean and simple. When your start looking you see detail upon detail that all tie in with each other.
Bay far and away one of the most amazing watches ever. (Would be even cooler w a micro-roter, would life to see the movement better)
Agree, either micro-rotor or a skeletonized rotor. I don't like large rotors and bridges that cover movements.
Love the intro.
What a gorgeous piece!!
Oh god I can totally see why you love that patek. It's just so lush, creamy and smooth.
I love The Urban Gentry! I shared a link on my Channel to your great episode on the History of Grand Seiko. There's no way I could top what you did! Thanks for everything you do TGV, I'm a huge fan!!!

Patek watches are just amazing. True beauties of horology and art. Love Patek Philippe!
Incredible intro as Always!
I for one am looking forward to more of these "mini reviews" because even though this is mini by comparison to some of your other videos, TGV, this still manages to get across all the information you note and it's a clear and concise presentation. Cheers!

your intros get better and better each time. that is such a beautiful piece!
😂😂😂 I didn't mean to call your name out so loud on the street like that in PA but it came out. It was a nice running into you and thanks for saying hi back. I know it was freaking freazing on Saturday. Love the channel
I absolutely adore the intros dude.
L.Maazel conducting “Ring Without Words" in the background? Classy...
Yep, that is surely a good everyday watch - the perfect beater....
Hi there, Bill.
What do you think of the 5905? Do you think they overdid with the case size? Thank you.
Excellent review of a sensational Patek watch. I also have smaller writs. As a result, I wear my wristwatches behind my wrist bone, which is generally recommended. I noticed you wore it forward of your wrist bone. What are your thoughts about how to wear a wristwatch? Thank you in advance for your reply.
that intro was absolutely gorgeous
Thank you so much :D
Best regards,
TGV
If you ever do get this piece, come to Grosse Pointe Michigan and wear it while walking your dog through our neighborhoods. It belongs here!
Very nice review, and nice to see these high horology watches on the chanel from tiime to time. FP Journe tourbillon review would be awesome!
intro was pretty legit
Great video as always my friend! Always a pleasure watching these masterpieces you've crafter for us.
I'm still rooting for you to do a head to head of the Aqua Terra World Timer against the Patek World Time!
Ah the sweet endgame. Still years away from me, keep grinding people!
Great VID, TGV. your production standards and presentation are on point!
5960 blue dial personally is my favorite gettable patek beside my ultimate favorite 5712 and 5164,
First, I loved this video. Second, my Grail watch is the Tudor Black Bay 58. Thank you.
Is that the Lucerne Festival Orchestra playing in the background? I recognise some of the players from my Mahler blu ray collection by Abbado-Lucerne FO; as I'm sure you'll agree, Mahler's 2nd and 3rd symphonies are the kipper's knickers!
A beautiful watch that for me is overwhelming. I am not even in the same universe. However, so good to know that such things exist.
Just discovering watches and this channel, great job balancing history and wider cultural references with horology.
Grail for me, the Patek 5230G.
Outstanding leading production from TGV, eloquently presented.
CKR!
Lovely to hear from you, thank you my friend. I hope you are well.
Best regards,
TGV
Well done that man Fantastic new look, great content as always, keep up the Sterling work, O&U you’re friend Ryan.
A Lange & Sohne Datagraph for me (you have to dream right) That black dial looks gorgeous on this Patek! Cool review TGV
now that's an intro! absolutely beautiful video
Thank you :D
Best regards,
TGV
Just bought my first entry level watch
Tag heuer aquaracer calibre 5 wak2180 500m
Was it a ok buy for my first watch?
Amazimg looking timepiece TGV, I enjoyed the intro music and as always your in depth reviews 👍🇮🇹🇨🇦😊🙏
Nailed the intro fam. That was proper good.
The every watch enthusiast’s dream that doesn’t hack 😂
Good evening TGV, the Reverso suits you so Well. You should get you one 😉 The Patek Looks nice as well. Not too busy dial for all those functions. Looks sporty and stylish. Have a great Saturday!
Thank you Heiko, so gald you approve.
Have a great rest of the weekend too,
Best regards,
TGV
Right now my Grail watch would have to be the Seiko Arnie. Love it's design and who wouldn't want a watch with cinematic history. Also the fact that I am a HUGE fan of Arnie helps.
Ah you have.
Just found it !
Cheers,
Lance.
Lorin Maazel, Berlin Philharmonic. Your choices of music and video are excellent. Your commentary on watches is superlative, Governor.
I really love your reviews☺️ and I'm so happy for you that you get the chance to play with all these hot horologie pieces through watchbox ☺️😌
Thank you Adri :D
I very much appreciate you saying that.
O&U!
Best regards,
TGV
I could see the effort put in this! Brilliant brilliant work! Keep it up :)
Sooooo cool😏
Have a nice weekend and keep up the good work👍

Hi Tgv , I'm curious what JLC your family has owned or own ,what models, can you tell us more about it , really would like to see video on that matter.cheers
Now, that is just perfect. Absolutely perfect.
P.S. And that is one effective intro.
That watchbox deal thingy is great!
A fine introduction sir! Great aspirational music!
That day, date, month display at the top makes sense ... I don't understand why more watch makers don't use that layout ... some watches are not easy to interpret
The perfect every day beater 👌
Best intro of all time, lol. For now.
I have this exact watch. Purchased from Govberg. I love it.
i understand the water resistance suggestion though ....some good suggestions , not knocking PP at all
Intro was bang on as usual TGV. Love this particular reference, but I do wish its proportions were a bit more "standard" shall we say. Regardless, a lovely piece indeed.

I guess relations with WB are much better than some🙄 on RUclips purpose🤷✔️
-Very good😁🍻
Hi TGV,
Have you done a review of a slightly cheaper watch !
The Seiko MM 300 ( SBDX017 )
Cheers,
Lance.
TGV...please review the new available and attainable watches from Tudor if you have the time. Thanks.
Magnificent watch! What jacket are you wearing?
Nicely done, my friend.
I recently got a blue face Calatrva Pilot travel time. The texture, and colour of the face on the Patek Pilot is gorgeous. It is hard to get it to show on photos.
Have you done a review on your grail? I know you don’t review what you’ve haven’t held but doesn’t WatchBox carry it?
What a cool watch (and a great review!)
I would like a review of Raymond Weil’s ‘in house ‘movement based watch.. considering one.. I’ve had a rw1212 based movement 2 years with no issues.. thanks
Great video as always!
Its 5 am heren in germany. Im comming from a party . But i have to watch this now.
Please do a Vacheron watch!!
Great review as usual. In my opinion this has got to be the best execution of a day, date and month window on a watch. I really like the semitrical design 👍.
Would love to see a review of the Blancpain Villeret quantieme complet.
Looking forward to the next one.
Regards,
Koen
It's tough deciding between this watch and a house.
Stunning Watch..

That is a beautiful time piece, love the intro. Please do a top 5 or top 10 Art-Deco inspired watches, i love that era. My best regards from México
Nice review… i bought this watch after watching this
Sick video once again!!
It's a looker ,but personally I think the pushers are to big almost an afterthought, maybe domed and closer to the body ,would in my view soften up the look , but there's no denying it's beautifully made , and a true grail watch , good review ole son , as we've come to expect . Can you please review a Seiko coutura any out of the line a
So we can get a feel for value quality etc
Quite tall, yes, but nevertheless amazing piece of work. Thanks TGV, good weekend!
Beautiful watch that I think is well worth it's price. I don't feel you can top Gauthier. What an amazing watch. I find your series of potential grail watches and horology very enjoyable and look forward to it. Produce away TGV! Look at more Lange and FPJ please. O/U good Sir. 🥃🥃🥃
Nice video - as always !!!
Very nice watch -- but I'm really looking forward to the JLC material.
Hi TGV - would you mind to make a review of the Breitling Navitimer 1959 reedition? Is it worth 9000$? Thanks Martin
5960r vs 5905r? Thoughts?
Beautiful, I really like the blue dial version.
