I have just discovered your channel and I want to thank you for your insight.
Beside the technical aspects, it is very interesting to get a part of history and thoughts. I am subscribed to your channel now 😁

Hey Shah. I actually did just that. Sold my 5711(got it 2009) and got the 5960 in 2019. Now it's my most worn watch. Case design and bracelet at least on my wrist wears better than the 5711. Btw I think it was discontinued 2016.

Hey, Shah, loving your work as always. Not a huge fan of this model, but like that your still refreshing the parts other channels cannot reach. If there’s any justice in there world (and there might not be) you’ll blow up

I am a bit late on this video but love it. In general brands should take a bit more "risk" and exploration sometimes...

Hehe, you said it. Like that one, it’s a great watch to have, sporty and not too elegant. Awesome vid and footage bro. Killing it!! Nice 👍🏻

Yeah man, I love how it still keeps that classic Patek vibe while being a bit edgier than a Calatrava, and the black and white dial is so nicely done with the shocks of red for the chrono hands :D

    Is this a flyback chronograph?

That's why I'm more drawn to PP as they do show restraint unlike AP which is basically a royal oak company now.

Yeah, though as unpopular as it is I actually like how they (AP) are starting to own it - with the 11.59 they did a great job of calling on Royal Oak design with the octagonal mid case while still making it it’s own design. But yeah I think Patek has really carved two lanes - with the Nautilus being almost it’s own brand while Patek “classic” still retains its design cues from pre-1976

Honestly they should bring it back with a modern look

I think that’s what they tried with the 5905, with the sportier bracelet and simplified chronograph - but IMO they missed the mark with it, but maybe there’s a different modern direction they can take to bring it back, I really hope they do because I like the idea that there’s a different take on a Patek steel sports watch

That is bigger at 42mm and also slightly thicker I believe

If this was less chunky I’d probably own it.

it’s relatively close to as thick to a speedmaster and a sub. tried one in person

Now that's a rare watch, how did you get your hands on it?

    • @ShahLusso

I’d had my eyes out for one since the first time I saw one (back in 2018 in a shop window) so soon as I saw they had one at Chronext I asked to borrow it and they kindly obliged :D
Lucky I did - in the time it took to edit this video after the shoot it’s already sold by the look of it, they don’t show up often so I imagine someone picked it up soon as they noticed it was for sale
