  • Hello and welcome!
    Today we take a look at the awesome ‪@Waltherarms‬ PPQ chambered in 45 Auto. For a pistol chambered in 45 Auto, this is a very soft shooting pistol with one of the best striker-fired triggers that I have ever fired. Yes, on par with the PDP Dynamic Performance Trigger. What are your thoughts on the ‪@Waltherarms‬ PPQ 45? I look forward to your comments.
    Thank you for stopping by and God Bless.

    An outstanding review of an outstanding pistol! Walther always delivers the goods for their customers. And that target (not your shooting) had me laughing out loud. Talk about tough love. 😂

    I have the same PPQ 45 acp, bought it on 3/2018. Still have it, love it. The trigger is as good as yours. I did put Talon grips on it, also changed the recoil spring to a DPM spring.

      What are your thoughts on the DPM system? I’ve been curious about trying them.

    I have a PPQ M2 .40 S&W with a 5" barrel. It holds 11 rounds in the magazine, and I also have some 13 round magazines, all factory issued. I bought the gun new about 4 years ago and paid $430 if I recall correctly. I bought it because I rented a PPQ 9mm at the range and really fell in love with it. I am a .40 S&W fan, so this gun was a no-brainer to buy. The feel of the gun and the trigger is excellent, in my opinion. I do love the looks of the PDP that took over the PPQ line, but I will not sell mine. I am VERY happy with mine. Good video.

      I feel the PPQ is more attractive than the PDP. The PDP looks boxy, has a fat slide that looks out of proportion, and the grip although comfortable, looks goofy. Neither one shoots as flat as a Glock, with more muzzle rise, but the PDP is worse in that department. The only reason I would get the PDP over the PPQ is if I wanted a red dot.

    I didn't know that they made the ppq in 45. I bought the ppq 9mm and couldn't believe how soft the trigger was. Oh, and the reset is right there. The best trigger I have ever used. Thanks alot brother. Great deal !!!

    I've always loved 45acp when I went looking I was leaning to the fn it's and awsome gun and it came with everything I could think of but I went by the walther window they usually don't keep many in stock but it was a tactical so suppressor ready 12 rounds is pretty decent the fn was 15 but a 1000$ dollars more that added up to a mess of 45acp ammo so I am quite happy feels nice in the had the recoil to me is less than the 9mm so when I am in the mood every third trip to the range and it's naturally subsonic just had to invest in some higher sights with tridum there very bright and my range is a little dark.

    I think the reason they weigh the guns unloaded because if you carry 115 grain of 135 grain the gun will weigh differently depending on the ammo

    The edge underneath the mag release that might be helpful to protect it annoys me on most Walthers. It's better with paddles and one can take it down but sanding on a polymer frame isn't something I like to do.
    Texture that looks grippy but isn't is all around. Like comparing the texture on a p30 to a vp9. The p30 has the edge. The ergonomics are outstanding but not that grippy.

    • @johndeere1951a
      @johndeere1951a 4 месяца назад +1

      It's an old design pre optic sickness, and Walther designed the PDP for optic use.

      The slide tapers so the top part is thin. Would look goofy if it had a plate. Way better options like their new PDP that are optic ready. I have pistols with optics but not every pistol needs one.
