Nathan...I'm 60 and done more drum brakes and parking brake drums than I can count on trucks....when hooking those springs over studs or in holes ...just use a screwdriver...hook the spine over screwdriver shaft and hook the tip over the stud or in the hole and just lever it over center ...it will slide down the screwdriver and where it needs to go 8 out of 10 times 100% of the time
There's so much good information in your videos. I've asked before how you learned all of this and regardless, it's still very impressive! Always great videos! 🤘 I also love seeing rigs like yours being repaired and improved instead of just tossed away as too many of us do. By far the most "green" lifestyle there is!
CAL, fill a small plastic bag with penetrating oil and tape it to one end of that old cable. Carefully squeeze the contents through the cable and follow with a good cable lube, like motorcycle cable oil. Cheers

I installed a parking pawl in my p32 chevy. My auto park brake left me on the side of the road 2 times in one year. I would like to install a manual park brake to pass inspection. Thanks for the part #.
Great video / I’m still watching and will stay in tune - I have a 94 Fleetwood I want to do some work to get it going / I need to look at the brake system and try and determine what I need to do. Drive it home is all I’ve done w it. Now the brakes are not working. Do u have any idea what brake shoes for my rig based on 93 P30 chassis?
I’m doing that right now. It definitely is harder and doing everything possible to be safe. The most difficult part was getting the drum off. The drive shaft is heavier than I expected.

I never thought I’d find a video like this showing the total parking brake disassembly. Thank you bc now I can see what’s wrong with mine! 🥳👏😎🙏
Thanks for the video. I feel more comfortable with doing that myself. It’s nice to know what everything looks like before getting into it.
Great video as usual. Your build is going nicely.
i hope your able to finish it so all of us can see the most badass RV ever built!
good to see your back to work on patches
Keep up the good work Nate. You got this. So enjoy your videos.

Can you imagine the difficulty in changing that brake if the RV was still above it?
