    A very interesting video showing that if you look after a wax, even after 10+ years it can still perform well.

      Cheers buddy. The video doesn't suggest all waxes will last this amount of time but it does prove that if you store it correctly and the wax manufacturer formulates the blend correctly, then wax can remain usable for a long long time.

    Frightning finish that mate! Great work. Gotta love a good wax. I think Jay already knew the answer to the question personally. I'd say a good wax manufacturer can ensure longevity of the product in the pot. Love it ❤

    I have a 20L plastic container full of various waxes from over the last 15 years, all different price brackets, and all different quality's and all still work as they have done from the first time of using them, stored in a garage as well so temp will fluctuate over the 4 seasons of the year.

    The end result was amazing, the gloss looked deep and rich, having said that the colour did assist with this.
    My car is deep blue, the colour also looks very rich with a deep gloss.
    Great video, I enjoyed watching jt❤.

      Hiya and thanks again for watching our videos. You are correct that this colour really does make the car pop. Rich deep blue is 1 of my favourite colours. Hope your well and Happy New Year.

    Considering the type of LSP we have now a days, the durability of a coating, you can’t beat the process of waxing. Amazing work Andy! I find in waxes as long you don’t see the separation of oils, you’re all good 😊

      Thanks buddy. And I agree that if you loose the oils or leave the carrier to dry out, then the wax is ruined. Look after your wax lol.....

    Great wax... my introduction to Bouncer's. Can't say I ever found it particularly grabby though, but has been a while as I progressed onto others in the range.

      @thecarboutique2467  8 месяцев назад +2

      Hiya buddy and thanks for watching. Having talked to Jay he advises only leaving the wax on for approx 1 minute. It is not a haze over or swipe test kind of wax. Me leaving it for about 10 minutes was probably why it was slightly grabby.

    I've still got my first wax which is a tin of Collinite 915, think I bought it in 2009 when I took an interest in car detailing. The top of the tin is a bit rusty, opened it and the wax looks fine. Also opened my pot of Chemical Guys Pete's 53 wax which is at leat 10 years old and that looks fine too. I keep my waxes in a plastic tub under the stairs.
    I thought Bouncer's had closed down in 2023.

    Car looks incredible, that blue just pops with a wax!, one thing 7:55 here with a wax puzzled me.
    I’m of the opinion that a wax needs several days to properly cure and the water behaviour right now is simply the carrier oils performance until that all gasses off? , you could apply any wax and straight away you would get the best beads

    • @thecarboutique2467
      @thecarboutique2467  8 месяцев назад +2

      Hiya buddy and thanks for watching. You are absolutely correct that to get a good representation of the hydrophobic qualities of the wax, it should be left to fully cure. Normally when we test a wax that is what we do. Unfortunately we were beaten by time on this video so had to crack on after about 1hr of wax application which isn't ideal. It will be interesting to see the 3 month review of the wax and does the wax maintain any protection. Cheers for the accurate observation.

      Cheers. Just like applying a wax made yesterday. Jay did message me and he did say to just leave the wax on for about 1 minute then buff off. It's not a wax that hazes over. Will try that next time as this may stop the slight grab on removal.

    Interesting points about how long they last. My only experience is BH DSW and it's still fine after 6 years and there's at least 1-2 applications left. This is why i don't want to buy Fusso. A massive pot and each application lasts a year (for sake of argument) so I keep thinking it'll go off long before I've even made a dent in the tin. And it costs a lot to not use much. I could be wrong though.
    I found some Turtle Wax wash and wax(?) that must have been 15 years old. Rubbish when new and only drain worthy when it left this world!
