My usual car valeter used this on my 2013 Skoda Superb on April 19th this year after a full safe wash, chemical decontamination and a mostly single stage machine polish and shes looking amazing... Mind you shes only done 65,000 miles and been exceptionally well looked after by her previous 2 owners.

What happens if you're a bit of a clot and get these substances (so ceramics in general) on the rubbers, plastics or chrome bits?is it best to mask up those areas?

Hiya buddy. A very valid observation. The simple answer to your question is yes, it is best to tape up your car to avoid the ceramic getting on plastics and rubber. When I do a car I do an assessment and judge whether it is needed. Further, having been ceramic coating cars for many years, I am confident now to apply without the need to tape up. That said, with certain cars, and the fact that the paintwork is adjacent to plastics, I do sometimes make the decision to mask up. With this car, there was hardly no plastic adjacent to the paint surface I was coating. Moving nearer the windows I was especially careful and had no probs. If you are unsure, or want to mitigate against ceramic coating on unwanted surfaces, then yes it is best to mask up.

Hi, did you use the whole 30ml for that GLE? Could I do body and wheels on my C Class with 30ml?

Great review Andy (and Karl), looks like a great stepping stone for an amature to start with before trying one of the other more trickier coatings. How long did it take to JUST apply the coating as I'd be working outside aswell?? Car did look fantastic at the end 👏👏
Hiya buddy and thank you as always. We had fun doing this review. Regarding time taken to apply the coating. Roughly about an hour on your own. We did it in about 40 with both of us and delays for filming.
@@thecarboutique2467 thanks Andy for the reply. I would love to try my hand at a ceramic coating but it's just a confidence thing or the lack of!! Mr Mcmahon keeps telling me to give it a go as its fairly idiot proof (make of that what you will 🤣🤣). One day mate!!

Hiya Gary and thanks for watching. We used all Zvizzer. We used medium compound with a fine pad. We did step up to medium cut pads for a few bits.
It’s grabby , not overly slick finish at all & absolutely STINKS of strong solvents . A very average coating to say the least

Infinity Wax is the BEST hands down apply the lite on my truck absolutely amazing still beads like day one but with proper maintenance @infinitywax
