The faster you shred the guitar, the faster the essence of music slips away. But the more you take time on every note, the more you feel alive. Robin Trower knows that. A legend.
I saw him in Johnson City Tennessee at Freedom Hall. That was 44 years ago and it was liking listening to Hendrix!! He is an Awesome Lead Guitarist!!! Good as Anyone Arguably
The beginning of this song is hauntingly memorizing and the whole song is like a dream. It's beautiful guitar 🎸 work by the master himself Robin Trower 👏 a true legend. His music will blow you away!
I remember being mesmerized by this album in he late seventies, some folk called him "White Hendrix" and I don't say that casually, the level of invention, tone, and song craftmanship is right up there. Underrated - he is a survivor and one of the finest players ever in my opinion.
Mid 1970's Memphis concert. I had taken a blue ringer and chased it down with some Canadian Club. I remember a stage lit with a soft green light listening to Bridge of Sighs. Woke up after the show was over and I was the only person left in the coliseum. Such fond memories!
Congratulations. We can't choose our parents so we get to be born when we are, and I thank my Mom often that I was in High School when this was out, and have got to see him live in 4 different decades. Please do yourself a huge favor you will not regret or forget and see him when he's in your area next.
I saw Robin open for Ten Years After and King Crimson in Fort Worth. I think it was 1974. Amazing show, and Robin opened with his Bridge of Sighs album. He just hypnotized the audience.
+Marsha Rupe Ten years after was the 1st concert I ever saw. They played at the Brooklyn Academy of Music. Gee I do't remember the year cause they were passing out tabs.
I'm very fortunate to have a father who grew up surrounded by music like this back in the 70's, its 100% helped me as a guitarist find my own style and groove. I'd put Robin Trower up there with all the greats, hes my personal fav
I had the privilege of seeing Robin Trower in a somewhat smaller club in S.F. You can enjoy him on RUclips but let me tell you , being they watching and hearing him live was mezzmerizing ! Just awesome. The energy in that club was magical. I'll never forget that night !
Wow. Thanks to whomever for posting this video. It shows Trower as a master of rock, but also jazz. Look and listen how he changes up the scales constantly in the long lead section. Masterful.
Have been a fan since the early seventies. Saw him at a couple small venues in PA over the years. Still rocks my ass off every time I hear his stuff! Keep rockin Robin!
In the Bay Area we had a concert promoter name of Bill Graham and he used to hold these concerts at the Oakland Coliseum called the Day on the Green. One particular concert was called the British Invasion. Robin Trower played and blew everyone's mind. I think that was 1974.
Pas de tatouages, pas de piercings, pas de scandales mis en scène, pas de look destroy pitoyable... Juste un musicien intègre, travailleur et brillant.
The bass player is playing his lines an octave below (and I recognize that this bunch plays it a step below the original recording) what Jimmy did back in the day, and I daresay it adds more weight and foreboding to the tune. Killer.
where did the years go I saw him play with James Dewar at Cowtown Ballroom in a 74 and it was $1 concert so we weren't expecting too much when they started playing all of us started looking at each other with our mouth mouth hanging open and when Jack Bruce and it Trower play together Well Jack Bruce just doesn't pick anybody to play with but the best and the sound it that show is so loud and clear and they were all real fucking young they didn't have to finish one song before we were all convinced this was the shit Robin Trower and he it's one of the top hundred easily top 50 for that matter lead guitar players
no. original singer james dewar died in '02, after years of being debilitated by a series of strokes that began in 1987. he was unquestionably a towering figure among rock vocalists.

Robin Trower was my first concert back in 72? Maybe it was 73 or 74 hell I can't remember yesterday, but I'll never forget the impression that he left on my soul that night! I trully agree. To play fast kills the feeling to hold the emotion in one single note. Perfect, man
Such a crime that this absolute master is not in the hall of fame.

He is too great for that hall bud. He is for the most cool.
The RRHOF is a joke. Trower like Tull is too good for those assholes.

The only human who can do justice to every note played in his guitar !
Robin Trower never sold out, just like Frank Marino. Both guitarist are Phenomenal Talent you just want more & more.
This song gets to your soul. Just close your eyes and let the music explode in your aural network
13 year old video and still getting comments. That says a lot.

No comprehension of real classic rock. I'm not so unforgiving and cold, but this stands, with the best of the 70's....
Robin never got the recognition that he deserved. He's one of the best. Along with Eddie, Steve, Billy, Jeff, and Eric just to name a few.
This is where EVH got his swing from .
Ole Steve Morse was no slouch either...I think he won guitarist of the year about a gazillion times in a row
