Giant Inline Skating Treadmill - World Champion & Olympian Joey Mantia 32mph Ice Skating Technique

- I'm 2 time Olympian & World Champion speed skater Joey Mantia sharing a little bit of footage from one of my workouts where I use my inline skates to fine tune my ice skating technique. This is my favorite training tool because it's a very controlled environment and there's a mirror right in front of me so I can see exactly what I'm doing as my coach is making critiques. I wanted to give everyone a peek at some of the things I do to try and be the best in the world. This was shot inside the Utah Olympic Oval in kearns, UT - the Olympic training center for US Speedskating.
The treadmill was set to 32 mph with a 1.8% incline which makes it a little harder than keeping it completely flat.
Audio: Rameses B - Moonlight
To my knowledge, the company that built this machine only did it as a one-off build and is not in the inline skating treadmill business.
Love this video! Thanks for sharing!
Nice video, I love it, speed skater Kenya💕🇰🇪
Wow. What style and grace! Thanks so much for sharing!
Those new bont skates are looking amazing
i love that bont.. look amazing
Your big fan you're my role model Joey mantia sir I want a heart from you. I am also a speed skater.
LOVE BRO 💓
Nice skates ;)
🚀
Your form is perfect and I ans to know what is your frame
Hi Joey sir
I just want to know that how do you build your skates.
Are they customized or you just buy them.
Please make a video on describing your skates.
Thank you
The frames look like Bont Supercell 2.0 4x110mm frames. The boot I'm having trouble identifying, likely also a Bont model, but I'm unsure which. Looking through Bont's website after getting a good look in the slo-mo sections, they look like Bont BNT boots.
That's about US$900 worth of skate hardware, and that's without wheels (not many 110mm wheels out there with metal hubs) or bearings (likely Cats brand, if I'm not mistaken, very high-end skate bearings).
@@brocmt THANKS FOR THE INFORMATION ♥️♥️
@@brocmt I want to know which bearings he uses..... Are you sure about cats????
@@ArshdeepSingh42108 If I'm not mistaken, Cats Bearings sponsored Mantia at one point. Maybe he can clarify.
@@brocmt thnks for your reply...
I am from India...Please tell which bearings you use....
Please!!!!!!
Prob bone swiss
You look leaner!
He IS leaner!
Life is unfair. We should have the same opportunities, regardless of where we live. Anyway, you're in shape. Are you practicing for Tokyo?
Life is unfair. Just look at his legs and who is father is...lol!
@@adrianloewen9962 I'm not talking about his legs. You missed the point.
@@mekkuper6746um, yah, it was a joke. We all know Joey's Dad is a top level body builder. Not many of us have one in our family.
I still agree though, he is one of the best diplomats in our sport (either ice or inline speed and I should be so lucky to attend any of his clinics!)
Hey Joey, how long can/do you keep up this kind of pace? I've been getting into speed skating for distance and I feel good if I'm averaging 10mph for 45 minutes or so. Granted, there's a marked difference in our fitness levels and experience, I just thought it would be interesting to know how long you keep up 32mph for. Thanks for the great content, I'm trying to incorporate your lessons in my skating :)
The Berlin Marathon was finished in under one hour. I guess that tells you everything you need to know about the average speed of a Marathon Speed Skater.
forever.
@@JoeyMantiaSkates hell ! xD
Forever!!! What about the 💩 poop! breaks after 24hrs!!!
@@rlotustab9099 stop posting nonsense things
your legs look skinny tho.....jk
Perhaps he needed to cut some weight for ice skating particularly?
@@StyleLessMicks they're still huge
