I like how they BLEW past the recreational skater like they were standing still
Thanks Joey and Viktor!! Awesome to see you both together sharing your expertise!!
Two of the best helping to grow the sport. Thank you!
Monsterl,cheers Joey 👍
Step 0: get up to 40 km/h and maintain. 😂
Hahaha, so true.
"Find your own rhythm before any feed back" yes that is so good!
This jst gave me goosebumps ooooohhh my God am saving this video to watch it every single day
Elite and not even a bit cocky. Now that is elite.
That was really professional skating. Well done!
One of my two best skaters 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Great advice, love it!
I just thought about the fact that Joey Mantia seems to be casually skating behind while they're going 40kph, and he doesn't sound even slightly out of breath. I can only get up to 40kph in an all-out sprint XD
it's amazing! thanks guys to keep inline speed skating on fire!!!!
gee... just a few minors tweaks was all it took to dramatically improve your technique. nice job adjusting on the fly
Good technic!😆
Wow I watch your channel and it motivates me to practice more. Thanks for the share and tips
Some great bullet points that will help all of us, super useful video!
좋은 영상 올려 줘서 감사합니다🤩😍🥰💞💓
I wonder what people were thinking when they passed by at those speeds. Just Awesome!!!
I think i have same problems with you, my left foot struggle to keep balance at the outside edge and have very little time to do underpush. Like 5:05 The supporting leg must fall sooner and i hate that. Like joey said, more stright underpush fixes that :)
5:16 dude... That was beast
Would be nice if you can do the same by joey, filming him from behind that we can see how it looks by the GOAT
So its not just about growing quads the size of tree trunks?
Otherwise we’d be out-skates by all those Mr. Olympian dudes out there 😅
Hahahahaha thanks for making my day
Thanks for this back position, I just wanted to see the entire process from that side!!! Appriciate it.
Idk how, but I see that you are totally different at the landing and leg transition parts. You seem to be holding leg much higher than Joey.
One more question: Are you in the US, or this was filmed before?
I think that's what he points out at the end :) We filmed this last week, but I'm just about to head back to Europe (Germany), to prepare for The European championships in january :)
Oh, lucky boy, you could've taken off to the US.
Could you send me a link of that competition with possible list of competitors, please? I cannot find any info about it on the Internet. (just my curiosity)
I will be pulling for ya, for sure! And last question, in what races (categories) you'll take part?
How do you work up to skating at elite marathon pace if you can already skate comfortably at around 30-35-km/h? Is it just better technique?
does straighter underpush mean keeping your skate pointed more forward or is it referring to the skate being perpendicular to the ground? Same with upper body, does he mean keeping it pointed forward? I would love to have someone skate behind me giving me corrections like this. I'm sure there are all sorts of things I could be fixing that I can't see myself. I have a coach giving me corrections while I skate at indoor practices (which I have stopped going to during the pandemic) but my team doesn't do any outdoor training so I have to be my own coach for outdoor and long-distance training.
It means pointing forward in the direction I'm skating, unlike letting them open up and twist to left/right. This goes for upperbody and feet. Yes! It's awesome. I think it's good to have anybody look at you from the outside and review what you're doing... Obviously it doesn't make it any worse if that somebody happens to be a World champion ;)
You should add Pascal Briand to the mix
Is it possible to do this on a rollerblade maxxum edge 125? Dnt have a speed skate yet:) thank u in advance...
Do you push with the middle of your skate throughout the whole push? Do you ever push with the balls of your feet?
How can you tell that your not pushing properly at the end of the push, before lifting the skate?
Thank you
For everyone else; 40kph is about 25mph.
👍
How do you put more compression into the wheels? Does it have to do with the transfer of your weight?
By keeping the body compact whilst the wheels pointing forward as you push, unlike letting the “open up” too early a fly to the side :)
Does he give personal lessons? Whete in U. S.A do you live? I will take some. I am in Florida
Sir i am watching from India can you sujest best skates in India and sir my skating speed 30 kmh it's good/ bad
I can’t estimate the ideal skates for you based on your skating speed over an undetermined distance..
Whats joeys heiht
Viktor, your back kick is too high. need to lower it :)
great videos, same my skating channel 🔥
If you fall your knees will be hamburger.
Lol GOAT?? 🤔😏
