I started at FedEx freight as a part time freight handler, then full time, finally after three years an apprenticeship linehaul position came up and I jumped on it. Got paid to get my CDL and I love it but being at almost the bottom, I get what you got as well getting cancelled and if no one wants to take off, then I sit at home. And no matter what you do you'll experience burn out, and because I have a family to take care of I change my mindset to easily enjoy it again. I love my job, make great money, and rarely sit at home from being cancelled, but if want to see the country with a CDL go over the road, I see the same roads every night/day. Nothing changes but the cars, the weather, and my attitude.

I’m getting to that point too, just had my 2 year anniversary at FedEx, started in the middle of the pandemic. I personally don’t like the direction the company is going in. The pictures at every housing stop, the increased scrutiny on signatures, and the way contractors are being treated… Like you were, I’m kinda just waiting to get fired and will be okay with it if it happens. Thanks for the videos Chris
Bro I like your personality I used to be a amazon delivery driver and this past summer honestly was the same as you I would get days where I wanted to work but they would text me saying they didn't need me. The heat and it just added up all things together I left. I look at these as just life lessons I learned a lot about people in general being a delivery driver some of the nicest people I met where in the most honestly run down places and the scenery and nobody on your back but it taught me a lot and i think it something I can use in my life. I really feel you I'm 24 and am in a similar headspace life in crazy and like you said we are young and should take the risks now.
Hope everything works out. I can't wait to see what sort of new things you're going to try out! Im 14 and your videos made me want to work at FedEx as my first job. I'll stay subscribed just because you're a very wholesome and down-to-earth guy. You seem like someone I'd genuinely like to hang out with.
gonna miss your fedex vids bro but it sounds like you quit for all the right reasons and your pov on what you want to do for the rest of your life is relatable to a lot of people
Bro , I literally quit Amazon dsp driver for same reasons, I was there for 3 years too !!! Jobs was getting repetitive and I wasn’t been recognized for my hard work, (won’t driver of the month 3 times all I got was some cold n hot cup n a bag with Amazon logo on em all 3 times) … summer heat , one day I felt like I was about to pass out , that’s wen I knew it time for something else and a job that’s not gone have me about to passed out ) …I quit the following week , and about 2 weeks after that , I got a new job making 1$ less but chill n simple , a/c all day , driving disabled people around my town , people with wheelchairs n stuff ! Super chill job !!! Kudos for those ups n Usps drivers out there that’s been doing this for 10+ years , because man , even 30$ hr in this heat not worth it !
That is so awesome! Life is short and you've decided to not be passive and take control of your life. So you've got lots of love and admiration from us -- can't wait to see where this adventure takes you 👏
Your videos actually inspired me to work for FedEx and I'm actually pretty happy with it despite starting right before peak haha. Love your content man!
Damn bro, I latched on to your channel last June when I got hired at Fedex Ground as a package handler. I only lasted 5 months, but still saw your channel time from time.
I just started there as a driver , in training now with a guy who gets paid $180 a day and we have been finishing his route in 4.5 hours 130 packages in a chill area. Come to find out I will be hourly $20 Indianapolis) so I will have to milk my time to make it worth it. I can tell I already don’t like it because it’s hard on my knees, especially since I’m into weightlifting .. it is effecting my gym progress. But luckily I will have to only work there 5 months until I move into my new home that is getting built in another state. From there on I will be working for myself again , can’t wait.
Your videos are dope and I have no doubt whatever you decide to do moving forward will be just as good if not better. Good for you homie, I'll be sticking around to see more of your content. 👍
Trust me we all understand that feeling of doing the same thing everyday! I recently got my CDL and it's another challenge finding a good company. Anyways enjoyed your vids and content Best of luck Chris!
I'm sorry to hear you're no longer working at FedEx but you gotta do what's best for you Chris. I enjoyed your content for both Amazon and FedEx. Actually I was hoping for a similar video to the one you did for quitting Amazon lol. That was epic. Maybe you should consider building a campervan for your road trips as your next content project because you do a really great job at explaining your experiences, and could probably help a lot of people do the same.
I told myself after one more vacation I’m gonna quit amazon lol that will be really soon I feel like this job is mentally draining that’s when I know it’s time to abandon ship. Wishing you the best of luck!
Keep your head up. You have a great personality and great energy. Do you explained in your videos very well what it’s like to be a FedEx driver and I enjoyed watching all of them. I would love to see you try new things and Vlog them. You should make videos what it’s like to be a garbageman or what it’s like to be a chef at a restaurant what it’s like to be an airplane attendant. You should keep the RUclips thing going and try new jobs and give people insights on what it’s like to do them.
As your new viewer, what interest me was your car videos. The car community is huge. Perhaps you can make more car content. That's just a thought. You're doing great so far. Despite the good or bad times, you kept the positivity going. You're a lot younger than me. You will definitely have something good going for you. I just turned 34 this year and I got married. I'm a full time house husband. My wife has a good job but I'm still figuring out what I want to do. I been job searching each day. I don't want her to bear all the weight. We have no kids but she wants to pop one out. I know that we'll end up being somewhere somehow as long as we don't give up and keep going. Hopefully a good job opportunity comes up.
I currently been with FedEx express 4 about 4 years now and it'd gotten really bad pay sucks, they over work you the new system doesn't work shitty food they give us. It'd honestly ridiculous since Fred stepped down it hasn't been the same they honestly stop caring about their employees which is why alot of ppl quit n go to ups its a shame but ill be quitting too soon cuz I can't deal with the stress but happy u realized it now b4 ur stuck there
I like your attitude and understand the look inward, I always envied the people that knew what they wanted from an early age and that wasn't me. As an older guy all I can say is no matter where you work, work for you and by that I mean your ethics your values. The job sounds tedious but rewarding and if you burnt out after 3 years maybe you should go to college to find something more rewarding mentally. Your a good man, be kind to yourself.
I started watching you, not because of Fedex, but more because of your enthusiasm. You seem to look at the bright side of whatever you are doing. I hope you keep making videos! I'm still Subscribed!!
As a trucker myself. I honestly wouldn’t recommend it. It’s not physically demanding but extremely mentally taxing. It’s a very serious job with lots of risk. It’s dangerous on the road. If you can’t stay calm in life or death situations. It’s going to end very badly. Not to mention 10 to 12 hour days are the norm and pay isn’t what it used to be. I’m looking to get out myself.
From someone who works at UPS I think it’s absolutely insane the workers of FedEx put up with having no benefits and disgraceful wages. FedEx employees deserves better then what they get.
I mainly got my job with FedEx cause I started watching your videos. It helped me gain the courage to start with them. I’m saddened by this news, but I support you no matter what!!!!
I just quit FedEx express in July after 6 years to get my CDL and man there’s other opportunities out there, especially with your experience you will find something better 💯 oh I bet your body feels more relaxed too 😎 best of luck out there
Im doing fed ex package handling until I get my certifications in home inspections. As a veteran this job is definitely LABORIOUS. I underestimated it and my warehouse is non conveyable only. So I’m constantly lifting treadmills ,furniture boxes , fridges etc. shits rough
I'm a claims clerk right now at a trucking company...in a office all day kinda boring...been thinking of going to fedex express as a courier..part time position open...sounds somewhat more fun...I have experience as a package handler so I know what hard work is haha, but idk these guys just hired me...but my previous job for 7 years was pretty much in office too..I'm 29...not sure which direction to go
Great channel. If you wanted to try something fun and possible for a future RUclips. You could try being a Bus Driver for Reading Buses in the UK. They treat their staff better unlike some other bus operators. But I have subscribed to your channel and please keep up the great videos.
Every Sunday, I drive to Cali to bring back stuffs to Las Vegas. Sometime it's fun, but sometime the traffic really bad. And I drive the company box truck, you can't go faster than 70mph. A lot of couriers and ride share drivers quitting because gas too expensive.
You know what I'd like to see... A video titled "How I got my CDL" and the series that follows that. 👍 Trust me you won't regret it if you like driving. Less work. More Driving.
You are a good man Chris. The Key to your life is that great faith that you have and that you are seeking truth, and making the world a more honest place. Incorporate the word of God with your natural attributes, and then you will know who you are.
Completely understandable. I work for FedEx too, but as a package handler trainer. FedEx is a good company to work for. You just got to move around. Level up. I'm looking at another position within the company. Hopefully it'll work out. Anyway, Thank you. And I'll stay subscribed.
I spent a lot of years working for FedEx. I had some great times working there. The job is only as good as the contractor! Some contractors treated you really well and gave you good equipment and others not. My last contractor kept piling on more and more work which burned me out. I ended up having an accident which gave me two titanium plates in my neck. I can never go back to it. Respect to anyone who does it!
I just got fired from Fed Ex Ground a few weeks ago 8/1/2024. I worked there for over 2 1/2 years. I was working 6 days out of the week for almost 3 months before I got canned. So I was on the grind. Then the start of my work week on Monday that same week I got fired I was having a bad morning. I was tired and my route was a business route so my Mondays were always rough. On average my route was 120-130 stops. A lot of bulk from my businesses and then residential as well. Then my pickups as well. So basically I would leave the station with a full truck and come back with a full truck with all of my pickups. Started to get to me. So on that Monday I was so irritated and just annoyed and the loaders loaded my truck like crap. Then all my bulk out on the dock. I lost it. I started throwing boxes in the truck just not feeling it. A few days went by, didn’t think anything of it and than that same week on that Thursday morning my contractor gets in my truck and she tells me we need to talk. She starts tearing up and tells me she has to let me go from what happened Monday morning with tossing packages in the truck. She was crying telling me she tried to keep me but the Fed Ex suits wasn’t having it. But i pretty much checked out way before I got fired. See about a few months with Fed Ex I met my ex girlfriend as well she works for the post office so me and her had the same route. So basically my whole time with Fed Ex I was with this girl. Me and her broke up about 4 months back. It ended on bad terms. It was hard for me to try to keep a smile on my face and push on delivering in the same area as my ex. And then everyone in town knowing me and her was together. So I was already just not into the job anymore even before I was fired.
Sorry to hear that if u can’t keep up u and had enough did what u could however if u want to come back resume FedEx or not just letting u know anyway let see what happens everyday better or worse that’s all.
I’m a FedEx Driver with a contractor company in my city here in Colorado Springs. Now, they combined FedEx Express and FedEx Ground which they call it FedEx 2.0. We get 600 packages total on a shitty day. The highest priority pickups I get are 18 a day for businesses. It’s become a disaster working for FedEx.
Thank you for informations on drivers how delivers packages, I'm working at fedex customer service on hotline and it helps me how to explain to the customers the scans.
If a new company. New content of a new city and its new challenges. I personally did Amazon delivery for a company in multiple stations and saw all of Southern California no lie. She let it go for fedex and took us drivers with her and it was awesome. Till I left for a in house job for an Amazon XL facility at 22/hr pay.
FedEx has become more and more annoying especially with the new proof of delivery feature that won't allow you to close out a stop without snapping a photo. They keep adding more and more responsibilities with no change in pay despite driver's working more hours. It's fun but it gets old man, best of luck to you!
This was the reason I stopped driving a truck. Weather. I loved the job so much the first few years, so much so that I literally lived in the truck and saved a ton of money. It was a great lifestyle, always being on the road and not knowing where the next load would take me. But every winter it was a nightmare. It wasn't the stress of being pushed down a mountain pass by tons of cargo, trying to not go sideways and the fear of killing someone. It was the pulling off on the side of the freeway in the freezing cold, getting soaking wet while cars drove by way too fast a foot away from me trying to wrangle heavy chains on my tires with hands I couldn't feel anymore. It wasn't worth it anymore. Driving a big rig isn't a job for many, it's a lifestyle, and it wasn't one I wanted after a while. That knocked me down, because when I was a kid, it's what I wanted to do when I grew up, and they say the first thing you want to do, is the thing that will make you the happiest.
Many guys in there 20s dont know who they want to be for life, myself included. What I thought would be my dream job will eventually become a tedious job. So I stepped down from that path. Keeping my passion work as a hobby because I get more joy from it when it's used for something of my intention. But going back two the topic I'd say most of use in our 20s just want to find a balance of settling and live happily.
I just quit Amazon, I loved it but some stuff happened and I felt it was time to move on , just set up a interview with FedEx Express and hopefully it's a lot better than when I was at Amazon.
The grind of life is real. That's why my average job lasts about 4 years. All of them get to a point where I feel like I'm in Groundhog Day, and it becomes so monotonous.
I'm really gonna miss your FedEx vlogs. They're the main reason why I come to your channel. But hey, I don't blame you. I loathe doing this as a rountine as well. Like, I love being a FedEx worker, but it's never supposed to be my life's calling. I just really can't see myself in the future working there.
JOB just over budget live within your means your better off I ll be leaving my job soon. I heard FedEx express is downsizing sending more to FedEx ground...good luck with your future endeavors I see great success in your future..stay strong
the heat in outdoor jobs doesn't bother us because it's mostly open air, but you're were stuck in a furnace cooking in 120 degree heat so it ain't your fault dying in those boxes
I work for ups before ups I used to party with friends too much. But the hours here is insanely a lot I barely see my parents and my friends got even thinner. It hurts alot in the beginning but I got used to it. I try to make my job a bit more enjoyable by talking to people on the route this job not for everyone
As you build more seniority and accumulate additional paid time off it will help you manage your time away from Big Brown better. Also place plenty of your earnings into the 401K during your early years with the company. The money will have plenty of time to grow and make you a MILLIONAIRE by your mid fifties. Along the way you will either miss or be late for many family gatherings and occasions with your friends. Funerals are the worst, how do you give seven days notice for a funeral? Even if you do have the required seniority for the day off. As for the making friends on the route that worked well for me. After a period of time your will learn who can be trusted and who can't. I couldn't agree more with you statement of "this job not for everyone". Over the years I saw people from many walks of life that couldn't handle package car.
I recently left Ground myself. Not because I hated the job I’m ok with outside work. Reason is because my contractor ended up cutting routes and merging routes so it made all the drivers work load double to the point where you had no time stop for break just working from the warehouse till I got back which was 8 am to 5pm with no breaks. And in this Florida heat it’s no joke. So instead of complaining I quit especially since raises were out of the question.
When one chapter of your life closes, another one opens. Thanks for watching everyone and hope to see you stick around!
Keep ur head up bro ! I know you will be killing it still

Here to see your growth no matter what! Big fan and always watching from Utah!
❤️
i feel you bro i’m a Home/Ground driver also here in california my route is always heavy i’m always averaging 180 stops minimum and 275 stops max.
Excited for what’s next! Best of luck man!
Hey I've seen your DMs! No more FedEx as of now but maybe some other time
@@LaosHouse Do your thing man! Whatever you end up doing, it’s gonna be great!👍
gonna miss your fedex vids bro but it sounds like you quit for all the right reasons and your pov on what you want to do for the rest of your life is relatable to a lot of people
Thank you for your service. You have a great work ethic. Can't wait what you'll be doing next. I will await those videos.
Sounds dope man…what do i search to find one of these jobs?
I love love your mentality Chris!
life is about having the right mentality
That is so awesome! Life is short and you've decided to not be passive and take control of your life. So you've got lots of love and admiration from us -- can't wait to see where this adventure takes you 👏
Thanks for your videos. I’ve been working for fedex trace ground and all ur videos help me a lot thanks.
Your videos actually inspired me to work for FedEx and I'm actually pretty happy with it despite starting right before peak haha. Love your content man!
supporting you no matter what chris good shit
Damn bro, I latched on to your channel last June when I got hired at Fedex Ground as a package handler. I only lasted 5 months, but still saw your channel time from time.
Take it easy brother. I understand how that grind can be. If we see another video from you one day sweet, but you do whats enjoyed / best for you.
Wish you all the best Chris!
Big dawg. Thanks for the pep talk
Chris good luck with everything in future and keep up the great work
Thanks for always commenting Dylan. Always happy to see you in the comments
that is sad that you quit your fedex job. I was enjoying your content. Good luck i hope to see what your next job will be.
Wish you the very best of luck!!
Your videos are dope and I have no doubt whatever you decide to do moving forward will be just as good if not better. Good for you homie, I'll be sticking around to see more of your content. 👍
Hey Laos I just found your RUclips channel, I just wanted to let you know that you’re a awesome dude, keep up the great content you’re an inspiration.
I hope you find out what you want to do. like you said, we just have to keep going. thanks for the kind words
Absolutely loved your videos I hope you find your happiness :3
All drop and hook. FedEx freight is great! I appreciate your opinion
I currently been with FedEx express 4 about 4 years now and it'd gotten really bad pay sucks, they over work you the new system doesn't work shitty food they give us. It'd honestly ridiculous since Fred stepped down it hasn't been the same they honestly stop caring about their employees which is why alot of ppl quit n go to ups its a shame but ill be quitting too soon cuz I can't deal with the stress but happy u realized it now b4 ur stuck there
Keep your head up king 💪 there’s another chapter waiting for you
you dropped this king 👑
Good luck in your future endeavors, man. 👍
I was with express for 26 years and now with freight 6 years. Freighr is awesome.
Sometimes we just need that little push. I still support all delivery drivers out there!
I just quit FedEx express in July after 6 years to get my CDL and man there’s other opportunities out there, especially with your experience you will find something better 💯
oh I bet your body feels more relaxed too 😎 best of luck out there
Im doing fed ex package handling until I get my certifications in home inspections. As a veteran this job is definitely LABORIOUS. I underestimated it and my warehouse is non conveyable only. So I’m constantly lifting treadmills ,furniture boxes , fridges etc. shits rough
I'm a claims clerk right now at a trucking company...in a office all day kinda boring...been thinking of going to fedex express as a courier..part time position open...sounds somewhat more fun...I have experience as a package handler so I know what hard work is haha, but idk these guys just hired me...but my previous job for 7 years was pretty much in office too..I'm 29...not sure which direction to go
Same here at USPS we work 65 hours a week but can't beat the pay and benefits
You guys also walk a lot more than us!
@@LaosHouse yeah 15-20 miles a day minimum
Damn! Always do what’s best for you man
thanks Chris
@@LaosHouse if course!
I've been with Fedex Express for over 30 years, Damm PROUD!
You know what I'd like to see... A video titled "How I got my CDL" and the series that follows that. 👍 Trust me you won't regret it if you like driving. Less work. More Driving.
I’m so happy I found your channel brother
appreciate it
Yo I loved your vids. Good luck with everything in the future
thanks
You are a good man Chris. The Key to your life is that great faith that you have and that you are seeking truth, and making the world a more honest place. Incorporate the word of God with your natural attributes, and then you will know who you are.
Subscribed just to see what your future content will be about!
Completely understandable. I work for FedEx too, but as a package handler trainer. FedEx is a good company to work for. You just got to move around. Level up. I'm looking at another position within the company. Hopefully it'll work out. Anyway, Thank you. And I'll stay subscribed.
I understand completely, thankyou
Try Apply different contractor from different FedEx if did not go well UPS, DHL, USPS pay better with outstanding benefits.
Great vids man
22 years of FedEx in Brazil 🇧🇷 Sometimes I feel like you did... Good luck my friend!
Put given to customer, bro.
@@BinnieB81 They audit that shit bro, our station checks
yeah it's always changing. Sometimes for the better, more times for the worse.
If you are working for FedEx Express, become an RTD if at all possible as soon as you can.
Thanks for sharing the downsides of trucking. I think it's most peoples next step from home delivery.
Wag mawalan ng pag asa pri....
Thanks Kenrick. I always recognize you down here in the comments. yep we had a good run but I felt it was my time.
@@LaosHouse that's understandable.
Subscribing just to see what you do next. Good luck. It might be really interesting.
You would absolutely love FedEx Express! We give out unlimited overtime. They will let you work up to 70 hours in one week.
Take care bruv! Maybe we’ll start seeing a little more Honda related content 💪
Hope ya come back man!
TBH i got use to the heat in the Amazon trucks. 140+ degrees everyday in the summer, though you're drinking water like crazy
